The Minnesota Attorney General’s Office secured a guilty plea Friday from the only defendant involved in the largest Medicaid fraud case in state history who is still in the United States.
Said Awil Ibrahim, 26, of Minneapolis, pleaded guilty on May 1 in Hennepin County District Court to two counts of aiding and abetting theft by swindle over $35,000 and agreed to help officials pursue and prosecute his codefendant, Abdirashid Ismail Said, the alleged mastermind of the fraud.
The case, which was charged in 2023, alleges three men fraudulently obtained $11 million through companies purported to provide personal care assistance services using waivers with the Minnesota Department of Human Services. The case has attracted a great deal of notoriety after Said fled the country ahead of his jury trial last month. Another codefendant has never been detained and is believed to have fled the country during the investigation.
In pleading guilty, Ibrahim had a racketeering charge and two additional theft by swindle charges dismissed. He agreed to pay $2.2 million in joint restitution and will be placed on five years supervised probation. His 150-day jail sentence will be stayed as long as he complies with probation and sticks to a payment plan that will be determined at sentencing.
The Minnesota Attorney General is a guy named Keith X. Ellison, an Islamist who used to be affiliated with the Nation of Islam, and was accused of assault by two women.
Enough said.
I have been following the Somali fraud cases in Minnesota for a long time now and the trials were more normative until they became seen as ‘partisan’ at which point Trump Derangement Syndrome makes all this sort of thing easier to stomach.
Some will shrug because the Somali is in theory promising to repay $2.2 million (out of apparently $11 million.)
Is the $2.2 million in restitution actually happening? If he has that much in the way of assets, why is there a payment plan, and why aren’t his assets being seized? If he doesn’t, then this is a farce.
If he doesn’t stick with the payment plan, the worst he gets is half a year in prison.
The fish in Minnesota rots from the head. Always has.

I’d be investigating the judge for possible payoffs. And if there is a federal component, the fees should try him for his federal crimes. Federal penalties actually have teeth.

Bastardize the plea deal structure by making sure the plea deal targets can escape and hide behind that same plea deal structure.

Omar/Elmi, (Congressional House of Rep’s.) and Ellison, (MN, Attny. Gen.) each take their offices in January 2019.
In 2020,Omar/Elmi sponsors “The Meals Act” removing the fraud guardrails.
The already existing Somali-linked fraud cases prior to 2019 explode from 2020-2025.
As a “show of prosecution” the Ellison and Walz offices “go after” the “fraudsters”.
Ellison structures a plea deal that allows the two targets of the plea deal to literally escape, and thus the only Jihadi, “fraudster’ left to prosecute is
protected by Ellison’s “plea deal”.
This is the reason for Election Jihad and Court Jihad, so Islam can commit Fraud Jihad to fund Jihad of any type, anywhere.
The Fraud Jihad masquerades as “human greed” and “crime”.

You are right to point out it took a great many White Democrats to vote all of this antiAmerican, proIslamic fraud and escape into place. It would have been a more complete picture.
My focus was on who those in power were , i.e. Ellison and Omar.
And ,as you would, I think, rightly point out, all under Governor Tim Walz. The Red-Green alliance.
My plain English definition of power is: The ability to make things happen.
For example Omar writing legislation like’The Meals Act” to remove fraud guardrails.
In concert with Ellison, as A. G., crafting a plea bargain that allows to two targets of his “investigation” and “prosecution” to leave the country.
Who provided the necessary leadership, and use of power, for those fruits of Islam to blossom into the massive fraud and escape from prosecution? Walz was governor – but who did the actual work?
And lastly, “Cui Bono?” If we could follow those pallets of money at the airport – would we not ultimately wind up in a Swiss Bank Account type situation with money somehow getting to Islamic Jihadis in Somalia/Africa?

thank you, Winston. I read a report that the fraud has been tracked to back at the least, as far as ’14, before elmi became a congress muzzie. But, she lived there and may have been involved in it before she got into office.
she had muzzie vote-harvesters who each found hundreds of somalis who could not read, but could scribble their names for a price so the snake could get into power. the harvesters would take ballots around in the muzzie hoods, pay the people for their “vote’ and fill out the ballots so elmi was seen to be elected.

If you are offering a plea deal to a smaller-fish criminal in exchange for his testimony against bigger-fish criminals wouldn’t you make sure the bigger-fishes, with foreign connections, couldn’t just swim away?
If you don’t make sure your bigger-fishes can’t escape what good is your plea deal structure?

Readers may recall that a decade or so ago, when Ellison was elected to the US House of Representatives, he insisted and was allowed to be sworn in on the wretched book of the 7th Century’s most famous pedophile. When I saw that, I knew we had started full acceptance of Islam and its evil intentions in America.

This case proves the point that if you steal ten dollars and get caught you will be in worse shape than
stealing a million plus as you can count on someone smiling upon you and show you the back door.
