The regime in Tehran has been tormenting the people of Iran for 47 years. In recent years, many of those people have repeatedly risen in protest and been suppressed by mass killings. The killing of more than 40,000 protesters on January 8 and 9, and the imprisonment of 50,000 others judged to be enemies of the regime, crushed a nationwide protest. Now two Iranians describe the hope and despair of the 80% of Iranians who want the Americans to wage war on their own government, to bring the regime toppling down.
More on their cry de profundis can be found here: “‘People will lose hope’: Iranians smuggle messages to ‘Post’ begging Trump to return to war,” by Danielle Greyman-Kennard, Jerusalem Post, May 27, 2026:
“Iranians are fearful that the sacrifices they made in demonstrating against the regime will be erased if US President Donald Trump makes a deal with Tehran, two Iranians told The Jerusalem Post over the past week.
Iranians are fearful that the sacrifices they made in demonstrating against the regime will be erased if US President Donald Trump makes a deal with Tehran, two Iranians told The Jerusalem Post over the past week.
Speaking to Israelis is considered a criminal offense in Iran, and the Islamic regime has frequently accused individuals of ties to the Mossad, Israel’s intelligence agency, to justify its campaign of executions.
After the regime killed masses of protesters in January, and thousands more were arbitrarily arrested or disappeared, the Iranians who spoke with the Post did so on condition of anonymity.
Z. described the “great deal of hope” placed in Washington and Israel after Trump promised “help was on its way” in January.
“Iranian Patriots, keep protesting – take over your institutions! Save the names of the killers and abusers. They will pay a big price,” the president promised as the regime’s brutality suppressed demonstrations across the country.
While the regime acknowledged fewer than 4,000 deaths and blamed most of them on foreign-backed rioters, human rights groups and anonymous officials speaking to Western media have estimated the true toll at closer to 30,000. The regime’s internet shutdown, threats against victims’ families, and mass disappearances have made it difficult for the outside world to determine the full scale of the killings.
“The people of Iran are in a very bad psychological state and have little hope for the future,” Z., an older professional, wrote, adding that little had improved since Mojtaba Khamenei succeeded his father, Ali Khamenei, after the elder ayatollah was assassinated in February.
Z. believes Khamenei has been reduced to little more than a face, and the country is not being run by the top commanders in the Islamic Revolutionary Guards. He is not alone in his suspicions, as countless reports have pointed to the growing power of Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and the IRGC’s alleged role in ensuring Khamenei was selected by Iran’s Assembly of Experts.
“People have no hope for internal reform within the regime, and their only hope is pressure and force from other countries. People had a great deal of hope in the United States and Israel and saw them as forces of liberation, but unfortunately, what is not discussed in American policy toward Iran is the terrible condition of the Iranian people,” Z. wrote. “If an agreement is reached, people will completely lose hope for changing the regime.”system.”…
The regime in Tehran will only be overthrown by an outside military force. That is what 80% of the Iranians believe and ardently wish for. No more deals, please, that by lifting sanctions will give the regime tens of billions of dollars to pay for ballistic missiles manufacturing, to produce more enriched uranium, to pay the salaries of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Basiji, and to support with both money and weapons Iran’s terrorist proxies Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. Does anyone doubt that if Iran were ever to acquire nuclear weapons, it would use them, not only to annihilate Israel, but also to threaten Gulf Arab states, and possibly to dictate their oil policies? And what would stop the religious fanatics in Iran, who are waiting for the Hidden Imam to reveal himself, from trying to strike southern Europe with their mid-range ballistic missiles?
Freeing 92 million Iranians from tyranny, and ensuring the safety of both Israel and the Gulf Arabs, are worthy goals. At the next sign of Iranian intransigence, instead of saying “I have all the time in the world,” Trump should take it as a reason to finish the destruction of the regime that he put a stop to last January. Listen to the Iranians, please, like those whose opinions I quoted just above. As one of Iranian informants wrote, “Eighty percent of the people no longer see any way out other than war.” And he added that everyone in Iran was waiting for “Mr. Trump to finish what he started and uproot these people from the entire world.”

Yeah, that’s the biggest reason why our negotiations are the worst thing we could be doing at this time. All it seems to be is a sop to the antisemites in the MAGA movement – making it look like we are not as “bloodthirsty” as they accuse us of being. Of course, being “America-First”, they don’t care one bit about whether or not the Iranian people themselves want peace (which they emphatically don’t), but the least they can do is stop claiming that this war is being done at Israel’s behest
Truth says
You really believe that don’t you?? It is being done at Israel’s request PERIOD.. If you can’t admit that then we live in different worlds and there is no middle ground.
And yes we true America first people are done with all this garbage. We are done fighting wars when our own country is dying.
If you folks want to kill each other you can do it yourselves. America needs to decouple from Isreal until Israel has regime change. You’re never going to change how people feel because we all saw it with our own eyes. and we all heard it with our own ears.. So don’t believe what i saw and heard right????? Sad ..
some of the things bibi and his administration have said are the most evil dehumanizing things i’ve ever heard in my life. No amount of gaslighting is going to change that. At one time i was all about defending Isreal but i cant defend nazi tactics and indiscriminate killing which is exactly what the current israeli regime is and does. Let the cameras in Israel. Let some street interview’s take place. Let’s see how the jewish people feel. ?? No we can’t do that?? Oh ok that’s cool. 🤡We don’t want the mask off do we.?? All isreal has to do is get rid of their current nazi government and the world will like them again. It’s not hard.
The killing of more than 40,000 protesters on January 8 and 9,
Lies Proven lies. At least use a believable number. You want us to believe they killed more people in two days than any WW2 battle did in two days. Outrageous ridiculous out of touch supremacist lies.

Israel’s behest? That’s a pretty insane assessment of what’s happened. Israel was perfectly capable of flattening Iran on its own: it showed it in 2024 when it leveled Iran’s Air Force – this was weeks before the US dropped JDAMs on Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. In fact, I daresay that behind closed doors, many Israeli military analysts might have wished that the US stayed out of this war, so that they didn’t drag it on and let Israel finish it quickly
If you think that our involvement in this war is due to foreign influences, you’d do well to look at our “allies” – namely Qatar, Bahrein and Kuwait. They are the ones that can’t defend themselves against an islamic republican military whose top levels of leadership has been completely decapitated. They are the ones w/ the money to pay off both our politicians, as well as commentators like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Megyn Kelly, et al: Israel doesn’t! In fact, thanks to the fact that a majority of American Jews are anti-GOP, Israel definitely lacks the clout to call the shots in the White House
I do agree that this saga has been needlessly dragged on, especially the negotiations. But Israel is not the one telling Trump to test out his “Art of the Deal” theories on whatever remains of the islamic leadership
Walter Sieruk says
It’s wonder, at all that the Iranian people feel that they have been betrayed by President Trump. First he promised that he would aid them in overthrowing that tyrannical regime that oppressive and harms them in many ways them so severely, since in would not stop committing mass murder of the Iranian protesters who were only demanding their basic natural human rights.
Then Trump does turns around and is very willing to have “talks” with the representatives of that same tyranny has murdered many Iranian protesters, that he would let those murdering despots remain in power in their same regime if they agree make changes in their agenda. This certainly has a foil smell of treachery by Donald Trump towards the people of Iran.
To put this in a different way, it’s very important that President Trump doesn’t let the Iranian people down , he did encourage to revolt against that brutal cruel oppressive death tyrannical Islamic regime , Therefore, Trump should finish the job by getting of over with , likewise trump should supply weapons to the people of Iran ,so they may be able ro overthrow horrific tyranny . If not those fiendish, villains in power will viciously without mercy come down hard on those brave Iranian patriots who were after a legitimate, which ensures and respects the natural basic human rights of its citizens.
Walter Sieruk says
President Trump has terribly letting the Iranian people down. After he promised to aid them in overthrowing that brutal cruel and murderous oppress tyrannical Islamic regime of Iran , ,and then establish a genuine ,legitimate government which ensure and respects the natural basic human right of it citizens. Therefore, this US President should now have two new nicknames which would fittingly treacherous. Trump. or promise breaking. liar Trump.
For a “ceasefire” with that hostile tyranny of Iran may lead to a “negotiated peace agreement” which would be both bogus and folly. As President Roosevelt, had so very wisely declared, “No compromise can end that conflict. There never has been—there never can be—successful compromise between good and evil. Only total victory can reward the champions of tolerance, and decency, and freedom, and faith.”
As for former of those two nicknames, Trump is treacherous to America ,for the one of that regime’s major themes is “Death to the USA” and it calls America “The Great Satan.” Likewise, his also treacherous to the State of Israel because that combative themes is “Death to Israel “and it call Israel “the little Satan.” The tragic and sad this of all is that this President is treacherous to the people of Iran by abandoning them to that oppressive vicious death inflecting “mullah tyranny” of Iran .
Those despots who are still in power in in that Islamic tyranny be engaging the Islamic doctrine of Taqiyya in in any “talks “ in the officials’ the Trump administration Tamiya is the teaching in Islam that speaking lies and deception are very good things to do if the lying deception is done for the advancement of Islam and its Sharia.
Therefore, the Iranian people are now swearing loyalty to that tyranny that is officially called “The Islamic Republic of Iran.” For it’s the human survival instinct since that agreed to hoax of a “ceasefire.” which even lead to a “peace agreement” with that Islamic tyranny is an affront and a disaster. The reason why this is so is because it would mean that that regime of Iran would continue to be a danger to American, to Israel and a further brutal cruel death inflecting tyrannical upon the people of Iran.
If all that isn’t terrible enough, the continued existence of that “mullah regime” of Iran will mean the those responsible for the unjust imprisonment and torture of the prisoner an the meaning and mass murder of so many Iranian patriots who only after a legitimate government that ensure the basic human rights of Its citizens. would escape with complete impunity for all the horrendous atrocities they viciously committed against the Iranian people.
Walter Sieruk says
A regime change in Iran to a real government is a vital necessity and likewise very important. For those so called “peace negotiations with the disingenuous and lying representatives of that Islamic tyranny is a farce , a hoax and a smokescreen for further evil schemes in any peace agreement that the tyrants document that they might sign ,, their signature wouldn’t be worth the paper they would have no intention of keeping any of their promises . Furthermore, they would continue with more intense cruel viciousness of “mullah wrath , against the patriotic Iranian protesters .
Therefore, it’s best to finish the job, as in “Get it over with” which by eliminating that horrific tyrannical regime, once and for all. As it had been, rightly and wisely. “Half-measures in war is madness and folly.”
Then after the collapse of that “mullah regime”, the Iranian people will be free to establish a legitimate, genuine, government that ensure and respects the natural basic human rights of its citizens. It’s necessary needed and important that terror and death inflecting regime of Iran is horrendous affront to all the is right, good and of value, so, therefore, a change needs to takes place in Iran.
The reason why this is so is because that tyrannical Islamic regime of Iran is the enemy the Iranian people, through that misery and death inflecting horrific Islamic tyranny of Iran, which is evil in sense of that word. Therefore, that Islamic tyranny is so terribly horrific and cruelly oppressive that it should be overthrown and replaced with a legitimate, genuine, government, which respects and safeguards those natural human rights of the people of Iran.
For that horrendously cruel oppressive malicious and murderous Islamic regime of Iran, denies the Iranian, people their basic natural human rights. As in consequence the people of Iran would and should revolt against that viciously brutal tyrannical “’mullah regime” of Iran.
Accordingly, the Iranian people are right and righteous by engaging in bitter and strong protests against those cruel malicious and murderous tyrants in power of that cruel and oppressive Sharia based dictatorship of that vicious Islamic regime of Iran.
In other words, those vicious despots of that horrendously horrific Islamic regime have provoked the people excessively too far.
In addition, some of the people who trapped in and forced to exist in the Islamic dictatorship of Iran might not know about the intellect philosopher John Locke, but his ideas do apply to them. For Mr. Locke taught that any good government has the duty to ensure the security and safety of its citizens. So the people under the bondage and oppression of a tyrannical government do have every natural and ethical right to overthrow that terrible and oppressive tyrannical government.
Walter Sieruk says
This jihad watch article rightly starts with the sentence “The regime in Tehran has been tormenting the people of Iran for 47 years. In recent years, many of those people have repeatedly risen in protest and been suppressed by mass killings.”
Therefore, the Iranian people are very justified, right and righteous and just to strongly object to protest against that brutal cruel oppressive malicious and murderous Islamic tyrannical regime of Iran.
For that Islamic tyrannical regime of Iran is and always was since its very beginning a horrendous violator of human rights, especially females, both girls and women, even the most basic human rights of the Iranian people. Since those tyrants in power in Iran care nothing ,at all , for the humans rights as in lives and safety of the people of Iran , how much less do they care ,if even possible, about the lives and safely of the people of other countries.
Furthermore, that Islamic tyranny of Iran is based in the foundation of false and empty promises. As well as lying words of Ayatollah Khomeini After the fiendish Muslim clerics obtained total power in Iran they showed their true colors by having their Islamic state police who are called the “Revolutionary Guards truest the people on Iran in many heinously brutal and ruthless ways. As, for example, their brutal, callous misogyny against both girls and women. This thesis statement is explained, in some detail, by the following.
, That tyrannical Islamic regime in Iran that so falsely and inappropriately has the word “republic” in its title. It should be made known that this called the “Iranian Revolution” turned out to be a hoax. Ayatollah Khomeini before achieving power in Iran in his lying and deceptions presented himself to the Iranian people as if he was someone who would be in power would give freedom to the people of Iran with any tyranny. The reality turned out to be just the opposite.
As explained by a former Muslim as well as a man who took part in this Islamic “revolution “ ,who is now a Christian informs the reader of his book that “Prior to the Revolution no one ever imagined that other political parties would be suppressed under the rule of Ayatollah Khomeini. He had promised that all groups would have freedom to run their own campaigns after the Revolution. He even stated that governing system would be based on the decision of the people via a referendum. He never spoke of a system that would be governed by Islam. He even made clear that mullahs would not take part in any political activities, and that they would only be allowed to teach spirituality… Immediately after the Revolution, mullahs rushed into government offices to occupy the most important political l positions, making it difficult for the interim secular government to function … The mullah’s occupation of position was exactly the opposite to what the Ayatollah Khomeini had promised before the Revolution.”. [1]
In other words, the insincere, disingenuous and outright lying Ayatollah Khomeini made many bogus promise he really had no intention of keeping. His lying deception worked, for he achieved great power in Iran.
Furthermore, of the many heinously evils outcomes of that Islamic “revolution” is the extremely cruel, brutal and demonic misogyny of this hideous Islamic regime. Not only against women but even young girls.
As explained by a former Iranian Revolutionary Guard member who defected to the West and how now lives in America his book also informs the reader about the malicious and murderous affront girls in Iran’s Evin prison which reads that those in power ,the “paraded teenage girls in front in front of me as they led them to their deaths. These girls were barely out of their childhood, barely old enough to think of themselves, much less form thoughts against the state. They knew nothing about the machinations of politics. They were innocent in every sense of the word and certainty innocent of trumped –up charges that led to their imprisonment. Yet they suffered fates too brutal for even the most vicious criminal. ..Their few remaining moments of life had been filled with the level of abuse that few can imagine”
The author further states “They tortured and killed young girls, in God’s name and before their execution they raped them because they believed that if a girl dies virgin, she will go to heaven, and they wanted to deny them this reward.” [2]
This is as malice -filled cruel brutal oppressive malicious and murderous Islamic regime of Iran, since it took power in Iran it thrives on installing fear on the Iranian people.
First, the Bible reads, “All the days of the oppressed are wretched.” Proverbs 15:15. [N.I.V.]
Second, Benjamin Franklin had printed a very true statement in his periodical Poor Richard’s Almanac which may apply to that horrendous tyrannical regime of Iran. It’s “Those who are feared are also hated.”
One important this to understand that since that brutal .cruel oppressive and murderous Islamic regime of Iran was built on a bedrock of lies as well as false and empty and unkempt promises its footing is based on a foundation of sand, therefore the collapse of that hostile horrific and horrendous Islamic tyranny of Iran will be inevitable.

Those so called “peace talks” should be called off, because It’s time to finish the job , and liberate the people of Iran from that horrendous iron –fisted maliciously horrific Islamic regime. As it had been, rightly and wisely said “Half- measures in war is madness and folly.” I*n other words “Finish the job” by getting it over with and eliminate that dangerous hostile and menacing Islamic regime of Iran . For the sake of the Iranian people, for Armorica, for Israel and for all the civilized countries of the world.
Furthermore, It’s really foolishness and folly of President Trump to even attempt to have a genuine negotiate peace agreement with To Illustrate ,,according to the Bible in Genesis chapter 3 Eve talked with Satan through the serpent . The result of that was terrible disaster for her and her husband Adam and for all future humankind. Likewise, President being willing to negotiate with the sons of Satan, meaning those villains in power in that Islamic tyranny , will only result in awful terrible disaster for America, for Israel ,for the Iranian people and for the world.
Walter Sieruk says
President Trump needs to heed and follow the instruction of Sun Tzu who is known the be the author of the book THE ART OF WAR in regarding any attempted so called “peace agreement negotiations” with those tyrants of that Islamic regime of Iran.
For in strategic manual of military wisdom instructs, “We cannot enter into an alliance with neighboring princes until we are acquainted with their designs.” To rephrase and update this information for this current situation in the Middle East with those lying dictators of Iran. It may be actually said, “We cannot enter into a genuine peace agreement alliance with those still in power in that Islamic regime until we know the schemes of their real intentions.”
It really should be more than obvious that the designs /schemes of those fiendish villains are.
Therefore, it’s amazing how President Trump can be so very naive as to think that he might be able to come to some of “deal” of any worth with those disingenuous and outright lying despots of that diabolical “mullah regime’ of Iran . They their fiendish treachery, are liars and will have no intention of keeping of the promises that they might make.. In other words, any agreement they sign their names to wouldn’t be worth the paper it’s written on . It would be a farce and hoax of a deal , Trump should know better than to trust them, in any way..
