Just completed watching it. Great discussion
One thing about the claim that only the oil rich countries are worth living in: countries run by Ba’athists or Arab socialists – Iraq, Syria, Libya…. – turned out to be slightly more industrious than their counterparts in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Emirates. Most of the advances that the latter has made have been after 2015, after their regimes became less islam-centric as a result of the threats from the muslim brotherhood and the islamic regime
I’ve learned a little bit more about what Islam is really about. Thank you Dave and Robert.

I need to read this book!
And yes–Islam *is* a failure, and leads to vast human suffering–Muslims and Infidels alike.
And when I was a child I had a library book on “Islamic architecture”. The drawing on the cover? Istanbul’s Hagia Sophia, the great Christian cathedral seized by Muslims and turned into a Mosque. Of course, as a ten year old I had no idea…

Hagia Sofia? There were so many other real examples they could have shown – like the tomb of Tamerlane in Samarqand, the Taj Mahal in Agra, maybe the masjid al haram in Medina
I have this book now in my Nook shelf, so hope to start on it soon. Right now, I’m somewhere in the middle of Humberto Fontova’s book on Che Guevara
