Jihadis have been terrorizing Hindus and Christians in Bangladesh ever since the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government in August 2024. This is likely their handiwork, and due to the complicity of the country’s current authorities, those responsible will likely never be identified, much less brought to justice.

The overall number of people who have been killed by Islam has been estimated at 270 million throughout its history. That’s assuming that the Hindu number is 80 million, but as I point out below, that’s a half-counted estimate. But just assuming it correct, then the number of others killed would have been 200 million, which would have to then include muslim-on-muslim wars, like the ones that took place throughout Central and West Asia: there weren’t 200 million Christians massacred in that era, since the populations of Asia West of India & China was far less than that of India even then
The number of Hindus, Buddhists and Jains killed by muslims from 1000-1500CE was estimated by KS Lal to be ~70 million. From 1500-1800CE, the number of Hindus and Sikhs massacred was estimated by Will Durant to be ~80 million.
