Lebanon: Christian town avoids destruction by stopping Hizballah from entering

Contrary to the prevailing myth, Israel does not strike indiscriminately. Rmeish prevented Hizballah from entering, and so the Israelis didn’t target Rmeish. You’d think that those who charge Israel with war crimes would get a clue. But that would require them to be operating in good faith.

A Christian town on the Lebanon-Israel border has avoided destruction in the face of several wars – with residents crediting their refusal to let Islamist terrorists operate in the area as to why.

Rmeich, in Lebanon, stands in stark contrast to much of the country’s south, which has experienced widespread devastation during the fighting.

Churches continue to function and homes remain undamaged in the predominantly Christian settlement.

Locals say they actively prevented Hezbollah terrorists from using their town as a base for launching attacks – which they believe has spared them from Israeli military strikes.

“There was more than one attempt for them to come to the outskirts or the entrance of the village to launch rockets from there,” one resident told Jusoor News.

“The young men of Rmeich confronted them and prevented them from entering.”

The resident said the resistance directly protected the town from military action.

“That led to the protection of Rmeish from any Israeli attacks,” the local said. “The Israelis do not target aimlessly. They target launch sites.”

This account provides an unusual public example of opposition to Hezbollah in the south of Lebanon, where speaking against the Iranian-backed group often results in accusations of treachery or working with Israel….

  1. Good for them. Too bad that the South Lebanon Army of Sa’ad Haddad was betrayed by Israel in 2000, which was what opened the floodgates for Hizbullah. Israel has itself to blame for letting go of a valuable ally in South Lebanon that kept Galilee from being shelled daily

    • Israel completed a significant and historic military withdrawal from southern Lebanon, ending a 22-year occupation that had profoundly impacted the politics and lives of people in the region.

      On May 24, 2000, Israel pulled back from southern Lebanon to the international border line, in compliance with UN Security Council Resolution 425.

      Although Lebanon claimed that Israel was still holding some Lebanese territory, the Shaba’a Farms, UN Security Council confirmed that Israel had indeed withdrawn its forces from all of Lebanese territory.

      Why do you say that South Lebanon Army of Sa’ad Haddad was betrayed by Israel in 2000. after Israel spent 22 years in Southern Lebanon Christian area, and were complying (forced to)leave because of UN Security Council resolution?

      • It was costing too much money, plain and simple. Hezbollah is just a name. If it did get wiped out, it would just be replaced with a whole other Shia militant movement. The last or. Was Amal. So, it kind of was a waste of time.

        Israel did ok for itself in the grand scheme of things. I mean what can they do? They are wrangling with Hezbollah now for three years. And what? Sure Hezbollah lost a bunch of weapons. They’ll just restock, and find more terrorists to join.

        What the Muslims, the woke right, and the left don’t want you to know , is that Israel plays by the rules, and that benefits its enemies. Even if you win this so called war with Hezbollah, they will just come back under a new name, Halla Malla Islamic savior army.

        All these anti Israel people, they will never exlaoin why Israel is attacking Lebanon. It’s because attacks form Lebanon come at Israel, and they fight back. But Tucker and the Muslims propagandize you, by saying Israel is just randomly attacking to conquer Lebanon. The Muslims are all just innocent and only fighting back. Which is false!

And whoever among you takes them as friends, so surely he is of them. Surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.”

    You have two choices:

    Let Islam in and fight with it constantly. You will have to fight it in your laws, courts, local councils, in your real estate, schools and education, where and when women can go to public places and how women dress, what foods are allowed and how they are prepared, rape and sexual assault will skyrocket, as will attacks on Christians, Jews and Gays. Muslims will be constantly offended by your culture, your music, your representational art. Even your pet dog will not escape Islams corrosive effect Violence towards all Infidels will increase in all areas of life.

    Keep it out at your borders:

    The opposite of all of the above.

    Keep it simple and secure: A country cannot have two governments. Bar the totalitarian government, that is Islam, at your borders

  6. You all should look at things differently. Most of this stuff is coming from Israeli think tanks to pit us against the Islamic world. Go look at Qatar it has more christians than Israel and they live in peace together. Also the boogey man Iran, has Christians. Go look at Israel on the other hand, they are chased, spat on, and pushed out of their homes by Israelis, while the Muslims live in peace with the Christians.

    I don’t fault anyone here because a couple years ago I thought the same way. But I’ve been shown different proof, and many conservative figures on the internet and social media see it too. I’ve met many Muslims now and it’s nothing I’ve heard against Christians. Tens of Millions of Christians in Egypt, Muslims have told me.

    We should think critically and take a hard look at who’s really our foe. Look at the market the Islam world is for us and how small they are on the other hand. Also, Iran always wanted peace and to be left alone. And all the claims about nuclear weapons is false once again, and go see Tucker Carlson how he even believed the lie last time. It’s a lie. Iran has no nukes. It’s actually against their religion and it’s banned by the supreme leader, khomeni. The congress will soon end these unconstitutional war power.

    All that said. We should still vote Republican and not listen to Nick Fuentes who wants us to stay home or vote for democrats. Also, we should look for ways to bring Muslims into the republican MAGA movement. Trump understands this and he found allies in Michigan. They want what we MAGA want. No wars. The younger people share my beliefs by huge margins, but my old father he’s stubborn but has no facts. If we want to win elections we must make the change.

    Vote Republican even if they supported this war. Even if it’s Lindsey Graham. Vote. But primary them.

          And Israel is our ally–and the only democracy in the Middle East. Certainy Qatar is not.

        • Jesus said, “You are my **friends** if you obey my commandments.” He didn’t make “friends” with people who hated Him and wanted Him dead; nor with those who go against His commandments.

          Christians should follow His example….make friends with those who obey His commandments.

          And many muzzie nations can brag about no crime when they make a habit of cutting off hands, feet, and heads of those people who step out of lime….such as disobeying the commands of the book of demon filth.

I think 70 percent of the time wing in the USA has become a pro Islamic chamber, so you don’t hear criticism of Islam any longer on most shows. Megyn Kelly , Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens and so many others. Others are afraid of I don’t know what, and stay totally quiet.

      I think you are just sailing with the wind. The right turned on Israel, and found its opposite, Islam Hamas Gaza Palestine gulf states Iran, so now those are all praised because Israel is evil.

      I don’t get it at all. Why are you people so obsessed with Israel and Palestine? How can that frame your whole world view and abandoning an entire party? You are Palestine first buddy, not America first. Tucker is Islam first. He will not vote now, and open borders will be back, crime, deep state, all that just because he loves Gaza so much.
