Terrified Netflix Denies it Censored Muslim Joke or Implied Muslims Might Get Violent Over Humor

If there’s anything that everyone knows about Islam (or gets murdered for not knowing) is that it’s a very peaceful religion of peace with no history of killing people over jokes, cartoons or art.

That’s why last month, two Muslims didn’t throw IEDs because they were offended over Mohammed. Also the one time that Paramount censored South Park wasn’t because they were afraid Muslims might kill them for showing Mohammed. So surely this story can’t be true because it’s just so implausible.

At least that’s the media’s position.

Netflix is none too pleased with a claim being made by stand-up comic Mark Normand.

Normand claimed Netflix executives insisted he not promote a joke about Muslims on social media, saying it would be too dangerous for the company.

“We got to do a conference call,” Normand says. “There’s 18 Jews on there with a speakerphone and my Jews. And they go, ‘Yeah, bad news. We reviewed the special again, we’d like you to take out the Muslim joke.’ I go, ‘Oh, why?’ And [they] go, ‘Well, the last time a comic did a Muslim joke, we got bomb threats. We got death threats. They said they were going to kill us. They ruined the whole studio, blowed the place up to smithereens. So we’d like to not use the Muslim joke.’ So I was like: I gotta fight for the joke here.”

Continued Normand: “I was like, ‘Okay, okay, I don’t love it, but okay. I will take it off on one condition: I want you to admit on this call they’re a dangerous people. You gotta admit it, or I’ll post again.’ I mean, I’m half joking … and they go, ‘Well, we’re not going to do that.’ And I’m like, ‘Why not?’ ‘Well, that’s offensive.’ And I go, ‘I just need you to say it out loud. I need acknowledgement’ … Like we’re all signaling, we’re all virtuous, but you don’t actually act that way, right? And I think this is a perfect example of that. ‘Hey we’re scared.’ Why are you nervous? That’s what I was getting at. So they admitted it.”

But a Netflix source strongly denies most components of Normand’s story. The kernel of truth, the source said, is “we advised him that we’re a global company and to be careful with the clips and jokes he used to promote the special on his own social channels.” But the source says the idea that a Netflix executive would portray Muslims as a dangerous threat on a conference call, let alone verbally agree with Normand that they’re a “dangerous people,” is “not true, not correct, completely false.”

Completely, totally implausible. Also please don’t bomb us.

Over 14 seasons “South Park” has courted controversy by skewering religion, but recent episodes depicting the prophet Muhammad in a bear suit may prove deadly, says a radical Muslim group.

The group, RevolutionMuslim.com, has warned the cartoon’s creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, that they could face violent retribution.

CNN said the New York-based website is known for posts in support of Osama bin Laden and jihad, or holy war, against the West.

Which in no way should be taken to believe that Islam is violent or that Hollywood is terrified of them.

“So there are two things we can’t do on Comedy Central: show Muhammad or Tom Cruise,” Trey Parker said during the MTV Networks portion of the Television Critics Assn. summer press tour.

Regarding the decision not to air the image of Muhammad during the “Cartoon Wars” episode, the pair said it was a corporate decision that could become a slippery slope if other groups begin making threats and affecting content. They also noted that Muhammad seems to be off limits, while it is “open season” on Jesus, who happens to be a “South Park” character. (Depictions of Muhammad are strictly prohibited in Islam.)

Comedy Central president Doug Herzog admitted, “It’s tough, but I think I would say we did overreact. … Matt and Trey enjoy a fair amount of creative freedom. History might show that we overreacted, and we will live with that.”

He added that the image probably will not be shown on the DVD version either, but “I look forward to the day when we can uncover it.”

Clearly not any time soon.

  1. The Bible records that in the Ten Commandments, God said in the Second Commandment:

    “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them.”
    These commandments were for the Jews and for anyone who moved into the Land of Israel to dwell there.
    Plenty of the people of that time didn’t move to Israel to dwell there and worshipped as they chose.

    Netflix wants to have it both ways….to go along with the muzzies out of fear, but not admit that they are in fear if they don’t go along.
    muzzies also want it all of the ways….to cause the fear and to deny that they are the cause of the fear, while causing more fear with their denial.

    The lone comic evidently has more courage than all of the guys at the corporation put together.

  2. Something must be done NOW. They must be expelled from our nation. It gets worse every day not two. I’m thinking of filing a lawsuit and complaint to to the proper authority that should be dealing with the USCIS. They’ve been lackadaisical about who they’ve admitted in, while putting Jews and then Christian’s in danger!

    I’m not going to stop and will get many to join me. We are SOCK and tired of these third world, savage 7th century beasts.

    • Per current U.S. legal code, how will those who’ve become Naturalized U.S. Citizens or who have been born here be expelled?

      PS The U.S. Constitution guarantees the right to believe. Or not. It does not greenlight ‘religious’ practices that violate U.S. law.

  3. The pope just denounced President Trump. He says nothing at all about Iran persecution , strikes on every single neighbor, and strikes on civilians targets, support for terror and nuclear program. He denounces Trump.

    Folks, we are in the minority right now. Everybody is supporting Iran, even half the people here in America. They’re cheering for us to lose and Iran to win. Americans want to see America collapse but they don’t understand the consequences for themselves. Everybody cheers for brics, China and Iran and the Palestinians against Trump and Israel, the literal guys who support freedom and not dictatorship.

    I do not get it folks I just do not see why everyone loves Iran and Hamas so much. Please answer this, I need to know.

      I’ll take a stab at it… a gross simplification but…

      Most Democrats actually hate the United States Constitution and would like to turn the country into some kind of a “Socialist Republic” – that they control permanently.

      Remember the saying: “The enemy of my enemy is my friend”

      Iran and Hamas both hate the United States – and today’s Democrats can identify with them on this.

      • I should have been clearer, I get the leftists supporting these dictatorships and Islamists.

        But it is the independents now as well, as well as conservatives. Just go look at Tucker , he really pushes the envelope like nobody like he defended Islam AGAINST Trump just yesterday.

        Just go anywhere you like and watch a YouTube video and go to the comments section. It’s all anti American Americans.

        They are cheering for America to be booted from the Middle East, the failure of the petro dollar and this the rise of the dictatorships to fill the void, China Russia Iran Hamas. If that happens, our economy melts down completely. But they drool at the mouth, they are even pushing for the gulf nations to dump America and join Iran and China… as they’re being bombed by Iran.

        They want brics and China to control that oil. They are angry at every move that makes us stronger, they are mad Maduro is gone, and they want Cuba under communism. Remember I’m not talking about leftists, I’m talking about right wing and independents.

        Tucker is leading the charge.

        So that’s what I don’t understand. Independent and right wingers siding with the other side and cheering for our downfall and defeat. I understand the people who are anti war, and misinformed of circumstances that’s why… but the rest, they are growing so fast.

          I, too, am at a loss to understand why certain Independent and Right-wingers support the other side.

          A relatively small minority – but it should be zero.

          Independents oftentimes “blow with the breeze”, but it is harder to understand the people who historically have identified as being Right-wingers.

    • At 3 pm on Sept 11, bush was scheduled to meet with c rove and muzzies linked to the mb, but the meeting was cancelled.
      Can’t help but wonder what was to be discussed.
