Somali Muslim Wins Utah House Nomination After Somalis Pack Convention

Salt Lake City took in Somali “refugees.” Now it’s going to pay the price.

In a race roiled in recent weeks by scandal, Liban Mohamed, the Muslim son of Somali immigrants, pulled off a surprising upset in a crowded 1st Congressional District, winning the endorsement of a majority of Democratic delegates at the party’s state convention Saturday.

“It’s a progressive’s time to lead. It’s the working class’ time to lead,” Mohamed said after the results were announced Saturday night. “The support is growing as people get to know us and learn about the campaign we’re running, the positivity that we seek to put out into our community, the fact that we’re focused on tangible outcomes for our communities and not headlines.”

Photos show Somalis packing the convention and the usual shenanigans were pulled.

McAdams’ speech to delegates was interrupted by a delegate who shouting about Israel’s bombing of Gaza and thrusting a finger at him, yelling, “You’re a liar!” until the delegate was escorted out of the auditorium.

Somalis do know how to play the game.

On Friday he was endorsed by U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and the Salt Lake County Progressive Caucus withdrew its endorsement of Blouin and backed Mohamed instead.

I wonder what they could have in common.

    • These people are simply ignorant about Islam.

      We’ll have to see if there is an education in Utah about Islam over the next few years. Their past Mormon leaders(First Presidency) made statements about Islam being another incomplete religion given by God in its time and place for a purpose, but not having the full truth found in the Mormon religion.

      Not in their wildest thoughts did church members know that Islam allowed the killing of people who would not join it and sanctioned the sacking and collection of booty, slaves, and women from other societies.

      Even though the Mormon church emphasizes that their prophet is only inspired for administration and revelation for the church, members tend to take their ideas as gospel truth. An example of how this works is when an apostle declared in the 1950s that God would never allow men to go to the moon and it was often repeated at that time by church members. In 1969, when US astronouts were on the moon, of course, it was all conveniently forgotten.

      This false idea of Islam being divinely inspired will also fold in Utah with experience and more knowledge about Islam’s signal written works – Quran, Hadith, etc. It’s all there to learn. Liban Muhamed will wake them up and give them a reason.

      Why politicians and religious leaders speak ignorantly about Islam and its objectives is a mystery. Maybe they get so busy they only have time to adopt the ideas of those too lazy to read and discover secularism, Christianity and Judaism are on the target list. Or, maybe they believe the glad-hand lies from Islamic leaders.

      • The nature of the state has changed since the 1950s. Only about 70% of Utah, due to move-ins from other states, is now Mormon and too many of those were only born into it and now tend to lean left. Still the state is solidly conservative but there are pockets of liberals. Most liberals, running for state office in the past have lost. Regional offices vary.

        • Never underestimate the devil. Democrats and republicans can each do the work of the devil at times, but the democrats certainly seem to revel in doing the devils work lately.

      • Think of it this way: While Americans were sleeping (ignoring what the government is doing) a lot has allowed for this to happen.

        Also Americans refuse to look at the truth and keep the biggest lie alive of Islam being a religion which democrats seek to protect. It was democrats and some republicans that pushed for gotten passed that Muslims can serve in elected positions.

        Americans must face to truth of Islam or Islam will win what they seek: conquer America.

Islam and its Muslims destroy everything with Islamization via Muslim theft, deceit, discrimination, segregation, Islamic Law, violence, and terrorism against Non-Muslims as taught by Allah in Islam’s Qur’an(Qur’an 9:5, 29, 111; 49:15, etc.). Allah in Qur’an 8:39 says, “And engage in war with them[Non-Muslims] until there will not be sedition and the religion will be completely to Allah…”

    Our Leaders must pass laws to create Legal Thresholds to qualify for or to gain Rights, Protections, and Privileges under the Law where the Applicant Entity must adhere to the USA Constitution. In theory, Islam and its Muslim Organizations would fail to qualify due to their discrimination, segregation, violence, and terrorism against Non-Muslims.

      They have their feet in the door and have even declared loudly that this is how they will succeed; using the US Constitution and especially the Bill of Rights for their benefit, protection and power!

    • So she doesn’t understand that WWII means World War 2 because she’s unfamiliar with the convention of using Roman numerals. Even thought she might have an Apple OSX phone meaning it has Operating System 10.
      World War eleven in Roman numerals would be WWXI.

      In Somalia they still count up to 10 only although on really hot days up to 20.

    • That is like saying, “You have no right to do mathematics.” About 200 years ago Joseph Fourier developed the heat transfer equation which said that heat was transferred through conduction, radiation, and convection. Over the last 100 years, that equation has been used hundreds, if not thousands, of times a day, and has always produced the correct result. However, climate fearmongers say that by blocking some of the sun’s radiation it makes the Earth warmer, but Fourier says that it is cooler in the shade. So according to the climate fearmongers, this is the first time in history that the heat transfer equation is wrong. They say that heat is trapped in the carbon, and that carbon prevents convection, which is the same thing as saying that our atmosphere is a solid rather than a gas. But no, we are not allowed to do the calculation, because it would show how stupid they are.

  15. When in the minority Muslims are very concerned with minority rights. When Muslims are in the majority there are no minority rights.
