“They gave them up for the love of their own people.”
Imagine that Hamas had won on Oct 7 and the victims were Christians. That’s what happened in Algeria. Islamist and Marxist terrorists during the Algerian War waged a ruthless campaign against the non-Muslim population. Including Jews.
The atrocities by Muslim terrorists included the slitting of women’s throats and babies being murdered by having their heads smashed against walls. The massacres climaxed in the Oran Massacre in which De Gaulle’s corrupt regime refused to protect Christians and Jews from the Muslim mob.
The Catholic Church virtually disappeared in Algeria after the Islamic takeover. The dead included martyred members of the church.
The memory of violence during Algeria’s civil conflict in the 1990s is central to the identity of the Catholic Church in the country. During that period, several clergy and women and men religious were killed, including monks murdered during the Tibhirine abbey massacre in 1996 and Bishop Pierre Claverie of Oran. Catholic monk Jean-Pierre Schumacher was left to tell of the ill-famed 1996 massacre at the Algerian monastery of Tibhirine in which seven of his confreres were brutally killed.
The Church’s position on these massacres has been surreal, at once honoring the dead and their killers.
Bishop Pierre Claverie and his 18 companions, who were martyred in Algeria by Islamists between 1994 and 1996, were beatified Saturday during a Mass in Oran.
Archbishop Paul Desfarges of Algiers noted the “thousands of victims of the Algerian civil war,” calling them anonymous heroes.
“We did not want a beatification between Christians, because these brothers and sisters died among tens and tens of thousands of Algerian” Muslims, he stated.
Algeriaʼs population is almost entirely Muslim.
… because the Christians were killed or driven out.
Relatives of those beatified were received by Muslim dignitaries at the Ibn Badis Grand Mosque, where Mostapha Jaber, an imam, said, “We Muslims associate this event with much joy.”
Pope Leo, in between berating President Trump for standing up to Islamic Terror, paid tribute to the killers.
At his first public event in Algeria, Pope Leo XIV visited the Martyrs’ Monument, “Maqam Echahid,” which commemorates those who lost their lives in the Algerian War for Independence in 1954-1962.
The visit to the monument is a moment to pay tribute to the history of Algeria and the spirit of those who fought for independence, dignity, and sovereignty.
Pope Leo stressed that the people being honored at the monument “have already given their answer. They lost their lives but in doing so, they gave them up for the love of their own people.”
Their people being… Arab Muslims. They did indeed love their own people and hated Pope Leo’s people. Pope Leo hates his own people and loves their Muslim killers.
It’s important to note that the Martyrs Monument doesn’t honor those who “lost their lives” in the war. It honors the terrorists and killers.
Underneath the ‘Monument’ is the El Mujahid Museum. That means Jihadis. This is an evil madness. But then so was the French treatment of its own citizens in Algeria, the British government’s treatment of the girls being raped by Pakistani Muslim sex grooming gangs and the treatment of Americans standing up to Islamic terrorism after 9/11.
Evil’s greatest trick is to pretend that it stands for peace even as it empowers the monsters and the killers.

I have always not trusted the Catholic Church even more so since this Pope and the last Pope have embraced Islam. That logic to embrace the very people who would not hesitate to kill you when they think your purpose is done is simply illogical.
Satan has found a way inside the Church & the world is seeing it close up. Islam from the last Pope allowing Islam into Vatican City now knows what is inside & would likely guess they are planning some sort of attack to gain the city in the middle of Italy, after all how many Muslims now reside in that nation.
Should Islam take Vatican City all the great art works will be destroyed & be painted over with Islamic works, that would be a tragedy.
John Pepple says
“That logic to embrace the very people who would not hesitate to kill you when they think your purpose is done is simply illogical.”
It took me a long time to understand their logic. I thought it would be a simple matter to remind such people of how many leftists the new regime in Iran had murdered back in 1979, but that didn’t work.
It all goes back to what I think of as the Prime Moral Imperative of our era, which is that the One must accept the Other, lest the One be no better than a Nazi. So, if you are a One, then you need to accept the Other. Whites must accept blacks, males must accept females, heterosexuals must accept homosexuals, the law-abiding must accept criminals, people must accept animals and the environment generally, the native-born must accept a flood of immigrants, and Westerners must accept Muslims.
And at the heart of it is the insistence that the One is guilty and the Other is innocent.
This imperative is constantly pushed by the leftist elites in our cultural institutions, and it is why we see so much craziness. J.K. Rowling is a Nazi because she won’t accept trannies. There is no good reason for trying to become friends with a grizzly bear, yet someone did so, with the predictable result. The global warming crowd is impervious to any practical considerations, and simply has an almost religious fervor against the One using fossil fuels. (It’s ok if China does, though, because they are an Other.) The “no kings” protesters do not care if an illegal immigrant has raped a citizen. And none of them care if Muslims rape and murder us, because no matter how awful Muslims are, we are worse. And if you do not agree you are a bigot and are no better than Hitler.
And the more we resist the Muslim invasion, the more we show how bigoted we are, which simply strengthens their belief that we are Nazis and so deserve even more Muslims.
Needless to say, this is a defective moral imperative, for the simple reason that it goes only one way. That is, these people would never ask Muslims to accept us, because that would be racist. And it is of course a dreadful development in the Western world that may lead to a permanent dark age.
I do not know of any way to counter these people. Facts are irrelevant because they believe that we are worse than any Muslim. It’s like trying to get a battered wife to stop sticking up for her man.
I just don’t see any way to stop Islamification short of a dreadful civil war that we may lose anyway.
Troybeam says
Turning a blind eye to what Islam is. For so long in America the democrats have catered to Islam. The 1965 revision of the 1952 immigration law so that Islam could enter into America under “religion” freedom 1st Amendment. There are many people that will state jihad is part of said religion without fully understanding that Jihad is the destruction of humanity that is not Islamic.
Ignorance is a huge part of why they do not understand Islam and refuse to face facts or think its a middle east thing. Can we stop Islam, yes I think there is a way.
What is that way/ first take religion out of the picture, second declare Islam a foreign government and begin to shut down groups that promote “Death to America” then remove these people from America.
If Muslims that are Americans & they state they follow Islam remove them as well because they accept the foreign government aka sharia law and not the constitution.
The hardest part is to use Islam against itself & to do that use the Koran and Reliance of the Traveller, but here’s the catch: use the Arabic wording instead of the English wording because it is different from the English translation.

The Bible (which the ‘pope creature’….creature called ‘pope’, false prophet, wolf in sheep’s clothing, unwashed cup, tomb of the dead, serpent, viper,’ claims to know)…says that there are evil, deceitful men who present themselves as God’s “ministers,” and this does not surprise because “satan keeps presenting himself as an angel of light.”
The Apostle Paul wrote that Scripture about such ones as the “pope creature” to the congregation in Corinth
“13For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their actions.…”

I didn’t know how tall he is until his recent arrest when the news said he 6 foot 7 inches tall. He was never going to run away so some of the media were pissed off with the way he was arrested in front of his daughter and the police made a show things when he would have quietly turned himself in.

This whole inner city area would have plenty of musicians and artists living here so maybe one of them might like one of my songs. There was a woman sitting listening who came up and asked about a song I had just sung saying she vaguely remembered it and we talked for a while.. I do some well known songs like stand by me, etc but a lot I like but not well known. The song she asked about was Kate wolf’s song across the great divide, not so well known. I was about too early and not a lot of people around but it was good try out.

“The Trump administration has abruptly canceled an $11 million contract with Catholic Charities to shelter and care for migrant children who enter the U.S. alone, ending a relationship between the Catholic Church and the U.S. government dating back to the first arrivals of Cuban exiles in South Florida.”
“The Office of Refugee Resettlement, part of the federal Department of Health and Human Services, has paid Catholic Charities in Miami for several years to house immigrant children who enter the U.S. without parents or adult supervision. The non-profit operates the equivalent of a federally funded foster care system, separate and apart from state agencies that have custody of abused and neglected children. The Syrian War (2011- Current)

The country has “47 million people. ” and a whopping number of 9,000 are Catholics.
“Pope Leo XIV was welcomed by Cardinal Jean-Paul Vesco, Archbishop of Algiers, who received the pontiff as host of the visit and accompanied him to key religious and symbolic sites, including the Basilica of Our Lady of Africa. Known for his commitment to interfaith dialogue, Vesco has long promoted closer ties between Christianity and Islam.
The visit carries strong symbolic weight, as Algeria has a Catholic community of around 9,000 people, mostly foreign residents. The basilica itself is a known interfaith site, often visited by Muslim worshippers. Leo linked his message to Saint Augustine, born in the region and a key figure in his Augustinian order.
On Tuesday 15 April, he will travel to Annaba, ancient Hippo, where Augustine served for nearly 30 years. The Vatican says the tour underlines Africa’s growing role in the global Catholic Church.”

As an African I have been deeply appalled by the general enthusiasm with which a plurality westerners have so easily submitted themselves to Islamic tyranny. Ordinarily one would assume that the obvious culprits leading this charge into a dystopian hellscape would be of the secularist variety particularly those who lean towards what I would describe as Marxist fueled unthought. Such an assumption after all is in perfect accordance with common sense given the deep seated hatred people of the aforementioned persuasion have for anything that is even remotely beautiful up to and including life itself.
However witnessing this dhimmitude in real time from what was once the self proclaimed bulwark of western civilization is disappointing to say the least and in actuality down right shocking. The question that plagues any clear thinking individual is “WHY”!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????? Why is this happening?
It is at this juncture that I would like to offer an alternative explanation that I have not seen being elucidated on websites such as jihadwatch. Everyone assumes the primary culprits are incompetence, ignorance or toxic empathy, I’m not so sure. Granted it’s a hypothesis that is not based in any level of expertise pertaining to matters of the human psyche. I cannot claim to have any profound insights in that regard. What I can say from my own elementary observations of the world is that the human race seems to be broadly divided into two camps. On the one hand you have individuals who gain a sense of purpose in life by seeking control over natural phenomena. Scientists, engineers et al i.e. members of the technical class. And on the other hand individuals who derive meaning from seeking control over people and their “opinions/beliefs”. Thespians, politicians, influencers, the clergy etc.
Now as perverse as it maybe to consider perhaps the oncoming dark age that we are barreling towards at break neck speed suites the upper echelons of the catholic hierarchy just fine. I mean after all once Islam takes over and all the advancements (brought about by the very culture that the church was so foundational to) have been rolled back. The white man, “epitome of evil that he is” with all his his independence and propinquity for free thought can be cut down to size by the invading hordes of Islamic savages. Then we the clergy as the heralds of God can take back our rightful place as dictators of what, when and how our flock of sheeple can do, well anything. There is just one crinkle in the “plan”. Provided of course that the “plan” isn’t a cynic like myself perceiving shadows where they don’t exist.
The level of violence that’s required to be instigated by catholic militias to keep all of these inbred sub humans in check so that the catholic church can get back to being the rulers of mankind. All the while the occidental world continues spiraling towards living conditions that were last seen in the middle ages. Yeah, I am sorry to say that killer instinct has been bred out of westerners. In conclusion if matters continue as they have and based on my interpretation of the data. We are all F****d. I heartily welcome any response that would lead to our mutual enlightenment on the sh*t show that is dhimmitude. In the words of Donald Trump. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
