Pope ignores Muslim persecution of Christians in Algeria, praises its ‘rich diversity’

Pope Leo is determinedly clinging to the fantasy Islam that the Western non-Muslim left has created: the idea that Islam is a religion of peace that a tiny minority of extremists, the likes of which are found in all religions, have misunderstood. It is irresponsible and dangerous for him to cling to the fantasies even now, when they are so abundantly disproven. It does a disservice to the suffering Christians of Algeria, and persecuted Christians everywhere.

So, if Roman Catholicism is the true faith, as I was taught as a boy and young man, what’s up with God allowing such a reckless doofus like Leo becoming Pope, and this following another fool in Francis ascending to the heights by becoming pontifex maximus? Added to this is other rot like Catholic Charities which is just fine with Muslims aplenty coming into the West, Catholic universities in name only such as Georgetown and Notre Dame and, perhaps worst of all seen from an American perspective, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), which is OK with massive illegal immigration and if one objects here, well then, they really aren’t a true Christian.

    I’m sick of the modern Catholic Church. It has effectively become an enemy of America, Western Civilization and common sense while sucking up to a whole host of bad ideas and bad actors, not the least of which is turning a blind eye to what the worst religion of all time intends for all of humanity.

    Just as it has become almost impossible to square being a Democrat with being an informed American patriot, so has it become the case with the Roman Catholic Church. Didn’t used to be this way with either the Democratic Party or the Roman Catholic Church but sure is now.

      I may be Catholic, but I’m a Byzantine Rite Eastern Catholic and we tend to look at these things differently.

  2. When the creature called ‘pope’….the false shepherd leading millions astray from The Faith…arrived in that nation, two muzzies blew themselves up in the street of the city and “diversed” their bodies …blood and guts flying…in response to his visit.

    The muzzie-lover doesn’t give one care for the people he was “selected” by other blind guides to lead in worship of the God of the Bible and to represent His Son until Christ returns. The “false shepherd, wolf in sheeps’ clothing, blind guide” is who Jesus Christ warned would come to lead His sheep astray.

    Jesus Christ warned about those who are “false Christs” and saying “don’t go out.” Don’t follow those who are going in the wrong direction, but pretending to be His faithful disciples.

    Just as those with open eyes can see islime’s evil, those with open eyes can see that the “pope” is not Christian and cannot help Christians to remain faithful.
    He would rather be friends with those who murder Christians, than to tell them they are doing evil and need to “repent and turn around.” This is evidence that the ‘pope’ does not know Christ and does not serve Him. The pope does not accurately represent Christ Jesus in any way.

      • If it was not for Popes, such as Pope Urban II, or Callixtius III, who raised armies, Europe would’ve been overrun by Islam centuries ago. The protestant reformation weakened Christendom in its battle against Islam, as European Christians were not united as one. (And I’m not justifying the abuses of the Church at that time. Sales of indulgence, etc)

          Every Christian has to make choices as to which “leaders”….if any….are going in the direction each one can trust.

          Some Christians do not agree with Catholicism.

  3. It is hard to determine which has caused the most suffering in the world, the catholic church or the muslims. Both have a huge amount of blood on their hands.

    • Are you joshing me? Really? You actually think that the Catholic Church might be as guilty as the Islamic faith of woe, suffering, et al?

      If you do, you are a very uninformed human being. As an example, in the over 300 years of the Spanish Inquisition, fewer people were put to death than Muslim terrorists put others to death in ANY GIVEN YEAR since 9/11. In fact, Islamic terrorism in certain SNGLE MONTHS since 9/11 put more people to death than the Spanish Inquisition did in centuries. November 2014 is such an example.

      Wake up if you can and do your best to rid yourself of atrocious moral equivalency reasoning. Something else: Do you have any idea of how much good the Catholic Church has done over many centuries establishing schools, universities, hospitals, etc.? I am not religious in the least but your equivalency thinking feels me with contempt. Learn if you can.

    • What they both have in common is a delusional belief that they must spread their news, and convince the world that their creed is the THRUTH and should be followed.

      • The Church, by Christ’s definition, as I recall, is comprised of the people who follow Christ by doing as He said to do.

        The Church is not a building anymore than a corporation is an office building.

        The Church doesn’t appear to be currently in the Vatican building because Christ said:
        “Thou art Peter and upon this rock I will build my Church and the Gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.”

        Since Pope, Dhimmi I and Dhimmi II have opened the Gates of Hell, with Dhimmi II having gone so far as to create a prayer room for it in the Vatican. That would seem to me as eliminating the current Pope in Vatican as leading the Church. Unless there is a retaking of the Vatican by a future Pope who does what Christ did and throws Satan out. “Get thee behind me, Satan” comes to mind.
        So it seems the Church is currently back to square one with Peter and the others who follow Christ.

        Not being religious myself my biggest concern is for all the people who are being misled by Dhimmi II (Pope Leo XIV) into thinking Islam is something that should be let in. That you should go so far as to make a special room for it. Why? So you can worship at the altar of Baal’s “Diversity” Lies?
        Not be embarrassed by the Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition? Are you really such a dolt that you can’t address those issues?

        Keep Islam out. Do not make room for it in your country. Islam means “submit” and it means what it says.

        • What you say is true, Winston. The “church” is not a building, but the people who follow Jesus to the best of their ability.
          As Jesus Himself said, not all have the same “ability.” But if one does his own best, that is what is accepted.
          Following someone who is walking with evil, is going to be a huge mistake.

    “Father Will, I’m not a priest, but maybe you priests could contact your bishops and ask them to send a message to the pope:
    that “I wish he was more worried about all the Christians in Africa and the Middle East being slaughtered by Muslims than about Trump trying to eradicate the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Free the people there from that horrible Islamic regime.”

  7. Can we just do away with the pope? They obviously don’t have a clue about Islam and it’s hunger for death and destruction of other faiths. Can somebody defend the Christian faith whose job it is to defend it?

    • The Apostle Peter wrote, “With Christ in your hearts, Always be ready to make a defense for the hope that is in you.”
      Any one who actually knows Christ and has the hope about which Peter wrote, would do a better job than this ‘head’ of the Catholic church. is doing.

    What “rich diversity”? Very few Christians, and they are persecuted, and there are at most 200 Jews surviving in the whole country. And even most of the Muslims are Sunnis of the Maliki school of jurisprudence.

  10. Next, Pope Leo will be saying that it is people like Robert Spencer who are spreading a false version of Islam around. He will not read the Quran and find out that his idea of a peaceful Islam that accepts people who are not Muslim is false.

  12. Some help please? Looking for a photo I remember seeing on Jihadwatch. Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif clasping his hands over his head in a gesture of triumph. I believe it was was taken during negotiations on the JCPOA. Perspective was from below, Zarif was on a balcony or walkway overlooking the ground.

  14. As an active Catholic, I too am discussed with the Popes non action against the murder of Christians and other religious groups around the world. The Pope says nothing or condemns the murder, rape and violence against Catholics and other Christian followers in Nigeria and other countries. Instead he kisses Islam.

  15. the Church’s primary agenda, is now, and has always been about holding power and amassing treasure.

    As islam’s presence and influence has grown in the west, it is only natural for the church to align with islam. As we see the actions of the church reacting to the wholesale violence against African Christians and Indian and Egyptian Christians, the Church is largely silent.

    And now it has been revealed that the Vatican has opened a prayer room for Muslims in the Apostolic Library. Really difficult to understand why.

    go to a monument built for Group A, the current and historical killers of Group B
    then proceed to prattle on about “diversity” in a country that is 99% made up of Group A,
    due to Group A having killed off most of Group B, and any other Groups C-Z.

    Add to that, the current, ongoing slaughter of Groups B-Z members,
    by Group A militias,
    in various locations, on the same continent, and one has to wonder
    what kind of mental gymnastics one of the heads of Group B must using in his “thinking”.

    We can only know – it does not involve logic.
