Rabbi Ya’akov Yosef Dikstein, his wife Chana, and their 9-year-old son Shuvel Zion were murdered in Israel in 2002. The couple left nine orphans. Israel freed their murderer in 2025 as part of the hostage-for-prisoner swap with Hamas. And the Palestinian Authority then hailed that murderer as a “martyr.” This is merely the latest example, one of thousands, of the Palestinian Authority hailing terrorist murderers as “heroes.”

While the world is focused on the war to dismantle the danger to all humanity from the terror state of Iran, the Palestinian Authority, clearly, wants to be the new terror state in the region.
The PA’s official TV station welcomed two terrorist murderers, recently released in the Hamas extortion deal in exchange for Israeli hostages, to its weekly TV program honoring terrorists.
One of those terrorists was Abu Jihad, who was responsible for murdering the Dikstein family in 2002.
While some naïve observers of the PA were surprised when Palestinian Media Watch exposed that the PA supported the Oct 7 atrocities, which included mass murder of families, it should not have been a surprise as PA policy has always been to support and glorify mass murder.
And just two weeks ago, the PA did it again.
On its weekly show to honor terrorists, official PA TV interviewed two murderers. One was serving 7 life sentences, responsible for the deaths of Rabbi Ya’akov Yosef Dikstein, his wife Chana, and their 9-year-old son Shuvel Zion, and others. The terrorists were introduced as “dear brother… We will always view you as badges of honor on the Palestinian chest.”
Since the PA continues to define mass murderers as “badges of honor,” this again confirms what PMW has been insisting. The proper action for the international community is not to grant the PA statehood, but to designate it as a terror organization:
The PA”s glorifying terrorists and their murders continues, and despite Palestinian Media Watch’s releases, without the world paying much attention. But such glorification is constant. It is not Israel, but the PA, that displays “genocidal intent” in holding up for praise and emulation terrorists who have engaged in the mass murder of whole families, dozens of guests at a Sbarro Pizzeria or two dozen elderly Jews at a Passover Seder and would, if they could, murder every Jewish man, woman, and child in Israel, and then “globalize the Intifada” by trying to kill all Jews everywhere.
Palestinian Media Watch has for years been collecting examples of the PA’s glorifying these terrorists, and posting that information on social media, but much of the world chooses to ignore that evidence. They have invested too much in the notion that the PA is the “moderate” wing of the Palestinian resistance, supposedly so different from Hamas. Many people have decided that the only way to end the conflict between Israel and its Arab neighbors is with the “two-state solution” that would require Israel to allow itself to be squeezed back within its 1949 armistice lines (also called “the 1967 lines”), with that “future state of Palestine” living “in peace and security side-by-side with Israel.” The “moderate” Palestinian Authority, its proponents insist, will run that state of Palestine. Most of the world’s media simply ignores news about the PA glorifying terrorists, just as it ignores the news about the continuation, under a new name and utilizing a superficially different criterion for payment, of the “Pay-For-Slay” program, by which the PA rewards past and incentivizes future acts of terrorism with large sums of money paid to terrorists and their families.

Israel made the mistake of stopping in Gaza, should have leveled it every building, every tunnel filled with that expanding foam that turns to concrete like stuff, destroy every inch of Gaza.
