Hatred and scapegoating are for the weak who have no arguments, facts or history to back up their assertions. They rely on the ignorance and need of groupthink of their listeners to feel a sense of belonging.
The lack of education and fracturing of our society produces millions of useful idiots.

Great analysis, I remember as a teenager I would side with the dominant member of whichever group I was in even if they ridiculed me. Even now sixty years later it still puzzles me as to what motivated me at the time. I conclude that people might give up or do anything to be part of a group and even betray their own principles. Leaving them in shame. It made me withdrawn from myself and the world in confusion. It also showed me that, in many cases, people are unable to tolerate difference. And that the dominant ones are afraid of losing their influence.
