This is great, but what are Italian authorities going to do about the rest of the Muslim clerics in Italy? Imagine those authorities’ embarrassment when they discover that Ali Kashif is not an “extremist,” and that he was simply teaching mainstream Islam. The Qur’an sanctions marriage to prepubescent girls (cf. 65:4). Will the Italians expel all the imams in the country then?
Why do Western authorities continue to insist that they know everything about Islam while actually knowing nothing, and to pretend that every Muslim to acts upon the Qur’an or teaches others to do so is an “extremist” who is misunderstanding and misinterpreting the religion’s core texts? How long will this delusion continue?

I watched a documentary today about the Luna Park Fire in 1979. It was very interesting, and very sad. I had never heard of it, but then, since it was in NSW, not surprising that I had not.

The Luna Park fire, so long ago, very much forgotten. Why would they have a program about That in the USA. I remember that it had something to do with a crime boss back then named abe saffron. I just googled the fire and saffron wanted to develop the land. Luna Park has stunning views of Sydney harbour. Anyway saffron failed and Luna Park remains. Sydney harbour is extraordinarily beautiful. I hope you are going ok.

I agree that the photos of the harbor show a lot of beauty. The interviews with the parents of the murdered children were rather heartbreaking.

Glad to hear you’re going ok, somehistory. Certainly tragic that kids were murdered in the fire so that saffron could seek to make millions. From memory saffron also had Juanita Neilsen murdered for getting in way of his development. She was a reporter who got in his way. The cops out here were very corrupt in those days. Pretty sure it’s a lot better now in terms of the cops. The premier of NSW, Neville wran, was said to be corrupt back then. The 1970s is when Muslims began to arrive in big numbers and things are less peaceful now than back in the 1970s. Drive by shootings every night in south west Sydney as gangs fight one another. Several innocent people murdered by mistake. Still peaceful compared to most of the world.

One person interviewed for the docu was a girlfriend of the mobster. She said she never noticed the bad things he did, but she guessed she closed her eyes to it and that ‘people see what they want to see.’
That’s true of many people today, too.

Who had that on.. I don’t know if you’ve seen this but the Petersen’s toured Australia and New Zealand last year and they sing a song with an Australian songwriter Colin Buchanan titled Jesus strong and kind that he wrote with some other Australians. Tim, the program was on tubi.com. It’s also a youtube thing, I believe. I was looking for something interesting to watch as I took a break, and tubi.com had it going. I missed parts of it because of other things going on, but I heard and saw enough to know what it was about and that the guys who were not corrupt back then, were saying what should have been done, and why it wasn’t.
I took a lot of courses in crime solving, and I find some programs like that interesting. And sometimes, frustrating.
I’ll try to take a min to find the recording you mention.

ALL deportation flights should be paid for by the scumbags being deported and not one guy on a 747 being flown from Italy to Pakistan and if he refuses than simply go into his Italian, or Pakistan, Bank Account and take the money out.
