Sasha Sobhani, who changed his first name from Mohammed-Reza in 2019 when he left the Islamic Republic of Iran for Spain, is the son of a high official in the regime. Abroad, he lives a life of luxe, calme, et volupte, with lots of nubile young girls to keep him company, as he cavorts on private yachts and private airplanes, and his string of girlfriends display on Instagram their Louis Vuitton and Birkin bags. He is living the Life of Riley, and we all know the vast sums that support him have been stolen, most likely by his father, from the Iranian government. The privileged children of the Iranian regime, who live so high on the hog, even have a special collective noun used to describe them. They are known as the azarghadeh. The son of a senior Iranian official has sparked outrage after flaunting a £2,690 Louis Vuitton bag on social media as he boarded a private jet with a model wearing an outfit that breaks the regime’s strict dress codes – as millions of Iranians struggle to afford necessities and face ongoing oppression.
Influencer Sasha Sobhani, whose father Ahmad Sobhani is a former Iranian ambassador to Venezuela, was filmed twirling his 20-year-old girlfriend, Laura Neimas, before the pair boarded the plane.
In a clip posted on his Instagram on Wednesday, the 38-year-old is seen kissing the Spanish model, who carries a £25,000 Hermes Birkin bag, inside the jet, allegedly en route to Ibiza for the 2026 season-opening weekend.
The camera follows Sobhani as he strides to the back of the plane and sprawls across a luxurious sofa, raising his hands to the sky and exclaiming: ‘Thank God for all these blessings.’
While many Iranians face arrest, violence and strict state controls, Sobhani captioned the post: ‘Ibiza opening 2026 [fire emoji] from the comments I will choose the winners who will accompany us on an adventure in Ibiza.’…
Earlier this month, Iran entered a temporary ceasefire with the US, which Trump extended on Tuesday to allow time for Tehran to submit to a unified peace proposal.
However, the ceasefire has been repeatedly strained, with both sides accusing each other of violations around the use of the Strait of Hormuz after it was closed by Iran – the effects of which have been most strongly felt by Iranian citizens….
It is not Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz that is causing economic distress in Iran, but the blockade that the U.S. has imposed on Iranian ports along the Gulf. It is no longer possible for Iran either to import or to export goods from those ports.
It’s unclear to me from the Daily Mail story if Sobhani lives on money that his father, as a high government official, managed to take from government funds, like so many other members of Iran’s ruling elite, or if the son is now an influencer who receives money from all those whose luxury goods he and his girlfriend display.
One image of the couple, dressed in bathrobes in Switzerland’s exclusive resort of St Moritz, was captioned: ‘They judged me for things I’m not, they made things up and talked without knowing the truth, but thanks to the few real ones and especially to you. Laura my love, who always knew who I really am, while everyone was talking…I was just learning how to stay strong in silence.’…

Ms Neimas has also faced criticism. One post showing her draped over Sobhani’s shoulder in front of designer gifts, including Dior, beneath a Christmas tree drew comments such as: ‘The money of Iranian people. Enjoy the blonde lady’ and ‘With the money of Iranian people [sad face emoji]’.
Another critic warned Nemias: ‘Don’t get too comfortable during these days. Your partner will be with father soon enough, and they’ll both return to where they truly belong.’’ [i.e. to the Islamic hell known as jannah].
Undeterred, Sobhani documented gifting Ms Neimas a Porsche valued at around £54,000 for Valentine’s this year, writing: ‘Today I’m not just giving you a gift…I’m giving you a promise. A promise to protect you, respect you, and choose you every single day. Thank you for bringing light, peace and meaning into my life. Happy Valentine’s Day, my love.’
What “meaning” has his sluttish girlfriend brought into Sobhani’s life? What is the deeper meaning to be found in a Louis Vuitton or Birkin bag, the deep significance of lounging on a yacht or on a private airplane? Tell us, please. We’re all ears.
Now based in Spain after leaving Iran in 2019, Sobhani – whose real name is Mohammad-Reza – claims Iranian authorities are targeting him over his lifestyle and criticism of the regime….
Where is that “criticism of the regime” he claims to have made? No evidence of that has been presented. If he really were an enemy of the regime, his father would not dare to send him money.
Responding to Iran’s request for his extradition, he told the Spanish newspaper El Mundo in 2021: ‘I criticise the regime, the lack of freedom they have, I teach them how I live and tell them that they too could live like this.
How could others emulate Sasha Sobhlani’s life without having what he has — a father who is a member of Iran’s senior elite?
Meanwhile, as Sobhani flaunts his mysterious wealth online, more Iranians are sinking into unemployment and poverty. A steep rise in unemployment, an even steeper rise in the rate of poverty, are spreading despair among ordinary Iranians. But what sends them into frenzies of rage is the spectacle of the aghazadeh, the spoiled children of the elite, heedlessly flaunting — like Sasha Sobhani — their luxurious lives. This economic despair will end with new protests on the streets of cities across Iran, and eventually, those protests will become so numerous that they cannot be suppressed. And then — I have to break it to him — you, Sasha Sobhani, are going to have to work for a living. What a terrible fate.

In the meantime, it was revealed today that Pakistan has secret supply lines to & from Iran to help the islamic regime stay afloat. POTUS, who prides himself on bailing them out last year in their war w/ India and now has given them an enhanced respectability by making them a go-between b/w the US and the islamic regime, might want to tell them something about playing both sides of this conflict.
