Note that the 31-year old Jabar Zubair Ansari asked the guards their religion and then proceeded to force them to recite the Islamic Kalima, which is the Islamic declaration of faith (Shahada).
Every non-Muslim country with a significant Muslim population has a jihad threat to contend with. India and Israel are two countries who understand the threat first hand, but the West still does not.
Police also found notes in Ansari’s home in which he stated his desire to join the Islamic State. Ansari lived in the U.S. for years. India is mostly Hindu, but Ansari was driven to jihad on infidels more broadly.

The scope of the investigation will not be limited to the accused, but it will also investigate the individuals or networks behind his radicalisation. The entire case will be thoroughly investigated to uncover any possible conspiracy,” he said.

According to the Maharashtra ATS, the accused, Jabar Zubair Ansari, 31, targeted two security guards on duty. Eyewitnesses stated that the accused first asked the guards for directions and then returned to ask their religion. It is also claimed that the accused forced one of the guards to recite the Islamic Kalima and, when he failed, attacked them with a sharp-edged weapon. The guards are currently hospitalised….
