FBI raids Minneapolis childcare facilities, part of sweeping fraud investigation into Somali-owned businesses

Even the New York Times wrote that the Minnesota fraud scandal “was staggering in its scale and brazenness.” And that “federal prosecutors charged dozens of people with felonies, accusing them of stealing hundreds of millions of dollars from a government program meant to keep children fed during the Covid-19 pandemic.”

Much of this money is alleged to have been funneled to the Somalia-based jihad terror group al-Shabab. The group is “committed to eradicating Christianity from Somalia.”

Robert Spencer stated in mid-November:

Those who were bilking Minnesotans out of all this taxpayer money and sending it back to Somalia likely regarded it as payments from infidels in lieu of jizya. The Qur’an stipulates that non-Muslims must pay the jizya, a tax, to Muslims. If they’re not paying it, many imams consider it lawful to take funds or property from the infidels to compensate for the missing payments.

Yet Ilhan Omar defended the Somalis, as her loyalties are to Somalia. She called the Somalis “the welfare fraud victims,” and attacked the FBI for not adequately establishing the “linkage in that the money they have stolen” was “going to terrorism.” She called it “a failure of the FBI and our court system in not figuring that out.” Well, now the FBI is conducting its raids.

Federal authorities raided more than 20 locations, including childcare facilities, in Minneapolis on Tuesday as part of a sweeping fraud investigation into largely Somali-owned businesses, the Department of Justice confirmed to Fox News.

“Today the FBI with federal, state and local law enforcement is involved in court-authorized law enforcement activity as part of an ongoing fraud investigation,” a Department of Justice spokesperson said.

Authorities executed 22 federal search warrants in Minnesota on Tuesday morning…

    Perhaps he has a fear of going to prison for his part in the fraud. elmi and ellison should be prosecuted, too.

  2. Good, keep going. Third world people come here and take advantage of our political and economic system, particularly in blue states and commit massive fraud, and money launder to the Democrat party.

  3. Somalia is not the problem; Islam and its Muslims are the problem as taught by Allah in Islam’s Qur’an(Qur’an 3:28, 54; 7:99). The Qur’an teaches that Allah is a deceiver, a great deceiver, as are Islam’s Muslims. Allah in Qur’an 3:54 says, “And they deceived, and Allah deceived. And Allah is the best deceiver.” Allah in Qur’an 8:30 says, “…And Allah is the best deceiver.” Allah in Qur’an 13:42 says, “And indeed, those before them deceived, so to Allah all the deception…”
