25 years ago, 3,000 people were killed in a single morning in New York City, Washington, D.C. and in a Pennsylvania field.
After the September 11, 2001 terror attacks, the threats that Islamic jihad and Sharia pose continues in America, but in a different form. Cultural and political warfare is being waged against us. Those who are waging this war use our freedoms in order to erode American society in favor of an Islamic ideology.
Even though the Western war on terror may have scored tactical victories over Islamic groups such as the Taliban and the Islamic State (ISIS), strategically, the West has failed in combating the ideology and belief system behind them.
Some Western leftist leaders, such as Senator Bernie Sanders, have even joined hands with some of them. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has helped them gain power.
Mamdani has recently revealed in a speech that his immigration policies in New York City draw inspiration from Muhammad’s migration from his native Mecca to the city of Medina in seventh-century Arabia.
Muhammad’s story, according to Islamic tradition, was one of Islamic conquest through immigration, manipulation, and later violent subjugation or elimination of pagans and Jews who did not submit to him.
Mamdani’s words reveal the pattern that many Islamic movements, such as the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and Hezbollah in Lebanon, have followed. And that aim is the establishment of an Islamic community governed by Sharia.
Another clear example of the “unholy alliance” between the far left and Islam is the rise of the American-born Shiite Lebanese Dearborn mayor, Abdullah Hammoud, who is serving his second term in office.
On September 9, 2025, at the Dearborn City Council meeting, Ted Barham, a town resident, called out the street sign named after Osama Siblani, the Shiite Lebanese American and the founder and editor of the Arab News. Siblani has for decades been an active promoter of Hezbollah and Hamas ideologies.
Barham said that he felt that in naming a street after Osama Siblani is the same as naming it”Hezbollah Street” or “Hamas Street.” Barham read Siblani’s quote from 2022 which, in Barham’s view, constituted a call for violence in Michigan.
Siblani said: “We are the Arabs who are going to lift Palestinians all the way to victory, whether we are in Michigan, and whether we are in Jenin (the West Bank). Believe me, everyone should fight within his means. They [the Palestinians] will fight with stones, others will fight with guns, others will fight with planes, drones, and rockets, others will fight with their voices, and others will fight with their hands and say: ‘Free, free Palestine!’”
Hammoud’s response to Barham went viral: “You are a bigot and you are a racist and you are an Islamophobe. And although you live here, I want you to know as mayor, you are not welcome here. And the day you move out of the city will be the day that I launch a parade celebrating the fact that you moved out of the city, because you are not somebody who believes in coexistence.”
Barham responded by saying, “God bless you Mayor, God bless you sir.”
Since Mayor Hammoud’s public of rebuke of Barham, Barham and family have since felt threatened living in Dearborn, Mchigan.
The recent attack on Temple Israel synagogue in West Bloomfield, Michigan on March 12 of this year, is a case in point that proves the detrimental effect that Islamic supremacists such as Siblani and his ilk are having on young Muslims, Arab and non-Arab alike.
The attacker, Ayman Mohamad Ghazali, was a Lebanese American from Dearborn Heights, with multiple ties to Hezbollah
His brother (a Hezbollah militiaman) had recently been killed in an Israeli airstrike in South Lebanon. Ghazali sent a relative a photo of himself holding a machine gun and vowing revenge.
After that shocking terrorist attack, Barham returned to Dearborn City Council on March 24, explaining that what he had warned about had, sadly, been fulfilled.
Barham blamed community leaders such as Siblani and prominent imams of Dearborn and Dearborn Heights mosques for openly praising the late Hezbollah leaders Hassan Nasrallah and Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, even though the slogans of these two men were “Death to America,” and the jihad terrorist attacks they planned and promoted had led to the killing of hundreds of Americans and thousands of Muslims.
Muslim politicians such as Mamdani and Hammoud are promoting a culture of hate that is foreign to our Judeo-Christian values, and detrimental to both our American communities and our immigrant communities that hail from the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
I was born in Lebanon, and lived and served as a Christian minister for two years in the Detroit area. My only sibling was killed in the Lebanese Civil War in 1980, while I was a student at the American University of Beirut. Seeking revenge, I obtained a silencer-equipped gun and intended to kill my enemies. However, a required university cultural studies course, derailed my plans.
The cultural studies course included excerpts from the New Testament’s Sermon of the Mount where Jesus Christ says: “Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you” (Matthew 5:44) and “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:39).
That message of love and forgiveness touched my heart. I became a peacemaker instead of a hatemonger, and led peace initiatives in Lebanon in order to help the Christian and Muslim Lebanese deal with the traumas of that civil war.
This weekend, the Jewish Passover coincides with the Christian Easter. Both give the messages of love, life (when the paschal lamb’s blood saved the Hebrews in Egypt), atonement, salvation, as well the love towards our neighbor that Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, demonstrated on the Cross of Calvary when He died for the sins of the world in A.D. 33.
To our Muslim neighbors, I would say that the messages of hate that Muslim leaders have spread have failed you. They are promoting a culture of death, whether in your countries of origin or in your adopted homeland, where you are economically thriving and giving your children and grandchildren a better life. A better and more prosperous life than you had in your native countries.
Let us join hands this season of forgiveness to maintain our freedoms and combat hate and antisemitism.

thank you, James. In one of my past places of employment, I saw a couple of Hindu men once or twice a week. They were always very polite and smiled quite a bit.
And one lady I met who was Hindu was so sweet when we talked. She even told me that she believed in Jesus and His promise to ‘rescue’ her.
For the record, my favorite doctor’s family came here from India and many of the best doctors I ever had to treat me for various things, were all Jews.
No other group is taught what islime teaches and demands of its adherents.

Allah in Qur’an 8:39 says, “And engage in war with them[Non-Muslims] until there will not be sedition and the religion will be completely to Allah…” Also, Muslim Islamization includes Criminal-Terrorist-Gang Organizations using Governments, Bureaucracies, Mosques, Muslim Homes, Muslim Schools, Islamic Centers, Sharia Courts, Muslim Non-Profits, etc. to fund, to educate, and to propagate Muslim Propaganda and Islamic Law against all Non-Muslims.
Allah rewards Muslims with Paradise when they kill and are killed in Jihad, war against Non-Muslims to make Islam supreme. Allah in Qur’an 49:15 teaches, “Surely the believers[Muslims] are only those who believed in Allah and his messenger. They do not doubt, and they performed JIHAD with their MONEY and their LIVES for the sake of Allah. Those are the truthful.” Allah in Qur’an 9:29 commands, “Engage in war with those who do not believe in Allah nor in the last day[Non-Muslims].
