Small yellow Gadsden flags blossomed like late daffodils Monday on the desks of 18 Republicans in the House of Representatives, not a complaint of Connecticut’s uncertain spring but a rebuke to a Muslim colleague born in Pakistan: Rep. Maryam Khan, a Democrat from Windsor.
On Khan’s desk in the third row, three off the center aisle of the House, the tiny U.S. flag displayed on most desks since the attack on the U.S. on Sept. 11, 2001 had disappeared. In its place was the flag of Pakistan, a green banner with a crescent and star symbolizing its founding as a Muslim homeland.
“I displayed the Pakistani flag as a reflection of my heritage and personal pride. Any suggestion that it represents something improper or disloyal is simply inaccurate,” Khan said in a text. “Pakistan is a longstanding diplomatic partner of the United States, and acknowledging one’s background does not diminish commitment to this country or to serving the people of Connecticut.”
Khan, a school teacher elected to the House in a special election in 2022, said she made the switch after reports April 8 of Pakistan’s success in brokering a ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran. She said she was disappointed that no Republican approached her directly before staging their mini-flag protest.
“I’ve had the Pakistani flag in my office for little while,” Khan said.
It replaced the U.S. flag as a matter of pride, not a rebuke to America, the country where she is now a citizen, Khan said. Space on legislative desks is limited, she said.
“I’m going to try to get a multiple-flag holder so I can have multiple flags,” she said….

She is Not an American! Why the hell are people like her & the likes of Omar serving in American governments? They’re here for the single purpose of ‘taking America down’ and when there’s enough of them in all our Institutions, will take us over. This is why NONE of These people should be working in any capacity of our Government institutions, Colleges, Universities Or Places of Interest.

There are established laws regarding the display of flags. Someone in that ‘house’ of government should be looking them up and see if they can make her remove the “foreign” flag.

I was not born in America, but I have never raised the flag of my foreign country of birth in any way or time. This Muslim is indoctrinated into Islam and Pakistan where her ultimate loyalty resides, not America. Allah in Qur’an 8:39 says, “And engage in war with them[Non-Muslims] until there will not be sedition and the religion will be completely to Allah…”.
Because I am foreign-born, there is no excuse for her loyalty to Muslim Country; she is truly anti-American. Allah commands Muslims to fight Non-Muslims to establish Islamic Law, Sharia, so that Islam reigns supreme. Allah in Qur’an 9:29 commands, “Engage in war with those who do not believe in Allah nor in the last day[Non-Muslims]. Nor forbid what Allah and his messenger forbid[in Islamic Law], nor believe in the religion of the truth[Islam] among those who have given the book[Jews and Christians] until they pay the jizyah[Extortion Payment] out of hand and they are subdued[disgraced].”

Her comments about not a rebuke to America is simply a lie. Her replacing American flag with the foreign flag is showing conquest in America.

The more unregulated immigration and a tendency towards empathetic suicide the more of this sort of behavior will occur. We tolerate because we feel safe in our red state and think it will never happen here.

Yeah. Had she been a private citizen, she could have had the 🇵🇰 flag on her desk, although it would have thrown into question why she accepted 🇺🇲 citizenship
But as an elected representative, she had no business flying the flags of anywhere other than 🇺🇲 and the CT state flag. She could have had the 🇵🇰 flag at home, or at her local mosque

She should be removed from her desk along with the foreign flag and be replaced with someone who loves America and our flag. As a Veteran I’m terribly offended by the political leaders who do not stand tall for this country.
