“Palestinian” young people, whom Qatar and other Arab financial backers are paying, are being trained to fill Wikipedia with anti-Israel material. Israel has so far been unable to match that campaign in scope; it has yet to fully grasp the power of Wikipedia to mold the minds of hundreds of millions of people who rely on it as their main, or even their only, source of information about Israel and the Arabs.
More on the war at Wikipedia for the minds of men can be found here: “Palestinians ‘trained to fill Wikipedia with anti-Israel propaganda,’” by Patrick Sawer, Telegraph,
Young Palestinians are being trained to fill Wikipedia with anti-Israel propaganda, it has been claimed.
Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, a Geneva-based NGO, has launched a programme to train groups of Palestinians in Gaza to edit pages relating to Israel in the online encyclopaedia.
Wikipedia allows anyone to edit its content without creating an account, while stipulating that they must maintain a neutral point of view, cite reputable sources and avoid vandalism.
But critics fear the project, called WikiRights, will produce “misleading and harmful” propaganda about Israel.
The NGO announced last month it had completed the third phase of WikiRights in the Gaza Strip, “targeting a new cohort of young men and women who survived the genocide in the enclave”….
That supposedly “neutral” NGO refers tellingly to young people in Gaza “who survived the genocide in the enclave.” If the NGO members believe that Israel has committed “genocide” in Gaza, just how “neutral” can it possibly be?
Lord Walney, the UK government’s independent adviser on political violence and disruption from 2020 to 2025, said: “The weaponisation of Wikipedia by activists with an extreme Leftist agenda is a growing issue that risks hugely damaging the reputation of the platform as a trusted news source.
“Internet empires rise and fall at breakneck speed as technology accelerates, and Wikipedia will soon find itself on the scrapheap if it allows itself to be manipulated like this.”…
Would that Wikipedia did indeed end up on the scrapheap, but it has become so much a part of our lives that it will be impossible in the near future to dislodge it from its role as the most important furnisher of information in the world.
Pirate Wires, a US tech and media company, claimed after a 2024 investigation that 40 Wikipedia editors had made 850,000 changes to nearly 10,000 articles relating to Israel, in what critics said was an apparently coordinated attempt to shape public opinion against the Jewish state….
And where are the 40 pro-Israel editors on the staff of Wikipedia who will make an equal number of edits — 850,000 — to the same 10,000 articles relating to Israel, and undo the damage these 40 anti-Israel editors have done? They don’t yet exist. The State of Israel ought to publicly charge Wikipedia editors with extreme bias, offer up a hundred examples of such bias, and demand that Wikipedia suspend the editors responsible.
Anas Jerjawi, Euro-Med Monitor’s chief operations officer, said: “Training young people to edit Wikipedia content seeks to transform victims of genocide in Gaza from mere statistics into storytellers, especially given the recent failures of some platforms or their complicity in not conveying the scale of genocide….
“Genocide” is a word Anas Jerjawi flings repeatedly at Israel. Do you think he, or the organization he works for, Euro-Med Monitor, can possibly be trusted to train Palestinians to fairly report on conditions in Gaza?
The dismal fact remains that Wikipedia articles are overwhelmingly anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian. A handful of its editors were suspended for being too anti-Israel, but a great many others similarly inclined remain on the staff. Israel must mobilize Jews and other sympathizers with the Jewish state, to edit Wikipedia articles about Israel and the Arabs on a massive scale. Millions of such outside edits can overwhelm those made by anti-Israel staff members at Wikipedia, and by those volunteer editors who share the same sinister leanings.

Islamization infiltrates, corrupts, nurtures, and propagates into every fabric of society with deceit, discrimination, segregation, violence, and terrorism against Israel, America, and all Non-Muslims. Islam’s Muslims are to be Seditionist Terrorists for Allah with their MONEY and their LIVES. Islamization, like Cultural Marxism, deceives and virtue-signals against Non-Muslims using Islamic Law, discrimination, segregation, violence, and terrorism through our Western Institutions via Muslim MONEY and Muslim LIVES as taught in Islam’s Qur’an(Qur’an 3:54; 7:99; 9:5, 29, 111; 49:15, etc.). Islamization includes Criminal-Terrorist-Gang Organizations in Mosques, Muslim Homes, Muslim Schools, Islamic Centers, Sharia Courts, etc. to fund, to educate, and to propagate Muslim Propaganda against all Non-Muslims.

Wikipedia is garbage. Just 2 days ago, I was looking up “Nowroz” – the Zoroastrian New Year, and while listing the communities worldwide that observe it, Wiki left out India’s Parsi community, which very much celebrates it. While mentioning that a small shi’a community in Bengal (didn’t specify whether it’s Bangladesh or W Bengal) observes it – although I’ve never read nor heard of anything like it
Also, go to their Jerusalem page. If one types “Jerusalem” in the search bar, one sees its description as “City in the Southern Levant”. No mention of it being Israel’s capital. By contrast, type in London or Moscow or Paris: all of them mention that the cities in question are the capitals of their respective countries. Continuing on the Jerusalem article, it says
The statement that Israel maintains its primary governmental institutions there is precisely what makes Jerusalem Israel’s capital. While only a handful of countries may have embassies in Jerusalem, that’s not what makes or breaks Jerusalem’s status as Israel’s capital. Also, islamic countries may well recognize “al Quds” as the capital of the “State of Palestine”, but like Abe Lincoln’s metaphoric lamb, just recognizing “al Quds” as its capital doesn’t make it so
For instance, a lot of people don’t recognize China’s occupation of Tibet as legitimate. However, that by itself doesn’t make Tibet an independent country. Same goes for Kurdistan or Balochistan, and the same thing is true about “Palestine” as well
Real problem w/ Wikipedia is that it’s completely controlled by Leftists. To make things worse, it is a primary source of training for AI agentic generators. One would have to build an engine that didn’t depend on Wiki for its data. Hopefully, someone – maybe in Israel – embarks on such a project

I think the Encyclopedia Britannica allows the public to edit these pages also. Bad idea.

Yeah, old printed encyclopedias had a staff of experts on any subject, and there would be a limited number of articles on that. Even Microsoft’s Encarta was not bad, since it was just a CD that had whatever was required
Also, there is no reason that every topic under the sun needs to have an entry, as is the case w/ Wiki

Regarding anything political, you are correct.
For nonpolitical stuff, specs on a ’69 Plymouth Road Runner, stats on the 1960s Boston Celtics “dynasty”, etc., it’s pretty good.

I suppose that for Wikipedia, being hired as a someone allowed to write definitions of words or phrases and describe historical backgrounds requires no intellectual credentials such as a university degree or authorship of books related to the area you wish to write about. I suppose that a Hamas Party membership card would be more than sufficient Wikipedia always did have certain problems but now it has gone to the dogs.
Why?
I figure money talks and perhaps Qatar money which made US Universities support anti-Semitic attacks against Jewish students on campus could be a source. Now, Qatar is being rocketed not by Israel but by a fellow radical Muslim, Iran. Palestinians like Iran because it supports their terrorist groups like Hamas.
The best people can do is avoid Wikipedia for any and all information – just turn your back on it and make it a known pro-terrorist web site.

I checked what Wikipedia had to say about Jake Lang and his protest in New York City, where the two Muslim teenagers threw pipe bombs into the crowd. Wikipedia mentions nothing about their ethnicity or their religion. I’m sure if someone put in ‘Muslim’ teenagers some Akbar would go in and edit the word ‘Muslim’ out.
