Rezaee’s location indicates that he is worried about being bombed. Meanwhile, he makes all manner of demands on the U.S., as if the Islamic Republic were winning the war. As all it has to do to win the war in reality is survive, Rezaee may be right. All he has to do is wait out Trump; starting in January 2027, a Democratic Congress will stymie further U.S. efforts against the Islamic Republic, and in January 2029, a Democrat president will start the billions in “humanitarian aid” flowing to Tehran again.
