So the significance of Dr. Hudhayfah Abdullah Azzam’s call to jihad against Israel is immense, considering his status and who is father was. His urging of Palestinian youth in Lebanon to join the resistance will likely have far-reaching implications.
Hizballah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem also stirred up the “resistance” jihad against Israel. He called on the “fighters of the Islamic Resistance defending Lebanon in a powerful letter emphasizing courage, faith, and steadfastness against the US-backed Israeli aggression,” and referred to the “struggle” as among “the noblest acts in the eyes of God and humanity.”
The loyal proxies of Iran — both individuals and groups — constitute an unfolding threat. They are willing to be martyred for their cause. Concerns are already circulating over a coming migrant crisis because of the conflict in Iran. On March 16, 2026, Dr. Hudhayfah Abdullah Azzam, the son of the late Palestinian jihadi theologian Abdullah Yusuf Azzam—widely regarded as a foundational figure in modern global jihad and a mentor to Osama bin Laden—posted a call to arms on X (formerly Twitter) urging Palestinian youth in Lebanon to join armed resistance against Israeli forces.[1]
In the post, Azzam addressed “our Palestinian people in Lebanon,” particularly young men capable of bearing arms. He described jihad as now obligatory due to Israel’s “occupation of Palestine” and what he termed its “invasion of Lebanon.”
The Jordan-based cleric called for targeting Israelis, writing: “Seize them, besiege them, and lie in wait for them at every vantage point.”
He emphasized that Palestinian youth should be defending Lebanon just as they would Palestine, declaring that there no difference between Islamic lands. Azzam called for defense of all Lebanese people without discrimination and persistence until Israeli forces withdraw from “the last inch of Lebanon,” expressing hope that this would lead to expelling them from “the site of the Prophet’s Night Journey and the first Qibla of the Muslims” referring to Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“Rama Duwaji, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s wife, has been sensationally outed on X for historic social media posts where she was glorifying Palestinian terrorists and using the N-word.
The posts from the now-inactive Tumblr account show screenshots of the highly offensive messages celebrating Leila Khaled, a plane hijacker and member of terror organization Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, as reported by the Washington Free Beacon. According to the Beacon, facial recognition technology was used to link Duwaji to the posts, which were allegedly made while she was living in the Middle East in her 20s.
In 2015, Duwaji looks to have reposted a tirade targeting US service members that raged American troops “fightin in imperialist wars are not brave nor are they fighting for anyone’s freedom.”
That post went on to blast the military for “mercilessly slaughtering 3rd world civilians” to maintain “American hegemony.” A December repost that year also blamed white people for creating al Qaeda, the outlet reported.”You can’t blame muslims for terrorism because they didn’t construct, fund nor train Al-Qaeda,” the post said. “White People did that too.”
In September 2017, she allegedly posted a photo of Leila Khaled – who took part in the plane hijackings of 1969 and 1970 and whose terror group killed dozens of civilians – with a caption quoting one of her most infamous lines: “If it does good for my cause, I’d be happy to accept death.”
Duwaji then reportedly shared an image of a Bangladeshi postage stamp that read: “We salute the valiant freedom fighters of Palestine,” according to the outlet.
That same year, according to the Beacon, she seethed on Twitter that Tel Aviv “shouldn’t exist in the first place,” calling its residents “occupiers,.” A post from 2013 when she was reportedly 15.appears to show her writing to another user: “Helllll yeah, n**a. Super duper genius excuse you.””
