On March 15, at his Angelus Prayer, Pope Leo publicly deplored the ”atrocious violence” in the Middle East. What “atrocious violence” did he have in mind? The pope did not mean the “atrocious violence” that the Iranian government has visited upon the people of Iran, when, on January 8 and 9, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Basij militia murdered 36,500 unarmed protesters, and wounded several hundred thousand. He did not mean the continued violence, albeit at a lower level, that the Islamic Republic continues to inflict on its people, killing those brave souls who dare, after those January attacks, to still come out to protest. He did not mean the violence that Iran unleashed on nine of its Gulf Arab neighbors. No, what Pope Leo meant was the ”violence” of the American and Israeli campaigns to rid the world of the immediate threat that Iran’s ballistic missiles pose, and the future threat posed by its nuclear program.

Pope Leo made an impassioned plea on Sunday for an immediate ceasefire in the expanding Iran war, lamenting “atrocious violence” that he said had killed thousands of non-combatants and caused suffering across the region.
As the US-Israeli war on Iran enters its third week, the first US pope warned that violence would not bring the justice, stability and peace that the peoples of the region long for.
How does Pope Leo know that “violence would not bring the justice, stability and peace that the peoples of the region long for”? We know that 85% of Iranians long for the Islamic Republic, that has tormented them for 47 years, to be overthrown. They think an end to the present regime will bring them “justice, stability, and peace.” But Pope Leo knows better.
“For two weeks, the peoples of the Middle East have been suffering the atrocious violence of war,” the pope said at his weekly Angelus prayer in St. Peter’s Square.
Let’s take a look at that “atrocious violence” Pope Leo appears to think comes from the United States and Israel. Six thousand soldiers belonging to the IRGC have been killed. Were their deaths “atrocious” or well-deserved? Aren’t those IRGC members, the ones who murdered 36,500 protesters in just two days in January, the Stormtroopers of the Tehran regime? There has been some “atrocious violence” in the Middle East, but it’s not what the United States and Israel have launched against Iran, in order to prevent that insane regime of fanatical Muslims from keeping or expanding its store of ballistic missiles, which it has already been using to attack nine of its neighbors, and has threatened that it will soon have a missile capable of hitting Europe and the United States. The “atrocious violence” is coming from Iran, as it sends missiles and drones into nine of its neighbors in the region, as well as against Israel and American bases in the area. Another aim of the United States and Israel is to destroy Iran’s nuclear program, which, if it continues, could threaten Israel, America, and other countries deemed enemies of Islam, with annihilation.
“In the name of Christians in the Middle East and of all women and men of good will, I appeal to those responsible for this conflict: Cease fire!” Pope Leo said.
Leo added that the situation in Lebanon – ravaged by a war between Israel and the Iran-backed Lebanese group Hezbollah – was also a cause of “great concern.”
What is of “grave concern” in Lebanon is that Hezbollah continues to lob missiles at Israel, violating the terms of the ceasefire, and refuses to turn over its weapons to the national army of Lebanon, despite the demands of President Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. Not only all of the Christians and the Sunni Muslims, but even many of the Shi’a in Lebanon now want Hezbollah to stop dragging the country into war, and to submit to the state that demands that it disarm. The great enemy of Lebanon, most Lebanese know, is not Israel, but Hezbollah.

Sadly, the new pope is just another leftist POS. He is not wise let alone infallible just another fool, who is guilted into believing that is slime is a religion of peace. Actually, the Catholic Church was OK until Vatican II (1962-1965), which unnecessary ecumenical council opened up the doors to a lot of rot, including liberation theology, effective destruction of the Latin Mass, relaxation of standards for the priesthood and the absolutely moronic contention found in Vatican II documents to the effect that other religions have valid revelations from the deity, which would be OK it could be argued for religions like Hinduism and Buddhism but this also includes Islam, whose core doctrines are replete with denial of Jesus’ divinity, denial of the crucifixion, and as well a decided intention to treat Christians whenever and wherever possible as, at best, good dhimmis. The old Catholic Church is no more and it’s not coming back. Vatican II killed it and the last two popes are representative of this “murder.”

After the victory Pope Pius V, to commemorate the battle, proclaimed a new feast day, Our Lady of Victory, still celebrated by the Catholic Church as the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary!
I hope Pope Leo is also aware of the Siege of Vienna (1529) and the Battle of Vienna (1683) and the violent details and atrocities committed.
