This is going to set back the Iranian Islamic regime’s efforts to maintain continuity and give the appearance of remaining in control. It is a significant step forward toward the demise of the regime itself.
“Israel targets Iranian leadership meeting about succession: senior Israeli official,” Fox News, March 3, 2026:
Israeli forces struck an Iranian Supreme Council gathering on Tuesday as the group was meeting to choose a successor to the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, a senior Israeli official told Fox News.
Fox News’ Trey Yingst reported…
“They just targeted the meeting in Tehran where what’s left of the leadership was gathering to choose a new Supreme Leader,” Yingst said….

Bravo! I am waiting for the citizens of Iran to gather and select their representatives – not the so-called Revolutionary Guard.

This is pretty hilarious! A bunch of “experts” i.e. clerics were supposed to gather at Qom to ratify – or not – the appointment of Alireza Arafi, as well as the leadership troika of Pezeshkian, Ejei and Arafi, and before they could do it, they got bombed! According to Tasnim news, which is affiliated w/ the IRGC, several members of that “assembly of experts” were killed or wounded. As a result, this troika wouldn’t be legitimate even under the rules of the islamic regime 😂🤣
All this in addition to their majlis (parliament), Seda va Sima – their main TV broadcast station in Tehran, the presidential office and the building of the supreme national security council. The islamic regime’s leadership – whatever’s left of it – is completely scattered, and all the locations where they convene have been demolished. It’s hard to see how the regime continues beyond this week
All IRGC personnel still launching drones and rockets at random at their neighbors and Israel would do well to stop, if they want to survive this war. Of course, if they want “martyrdom”, keep at it!

America and Israel are doing what they have to do and in the short term will continue to do what has to be done. America and Israel can only do so much—no more nation building and all that rot.
It is imperative that the Iranian people take control of their destiny. If not now, then probably never.

Yeah, it’s now time for Iranians to step up. Hopefully Reza Pahlavi returns there next week and takes over, along w/ his transition teams

But as long as the IRGC remains loyal to the turban-wearing crazies at the top, they’d likely assasinate Pehlavi in short order.
The turbans are toothless without the military. So, the military (the only guys with all the guns in Iran) must first surrender their allegiance to the already established chain of command succession structure before it would be safe for Pehlavi to put his feet on the ground there.
I think we’re going to have to put a lot more pressure on their army ground corps to break their will to fight. Blowing up hardware and ammo dumps, and pinpoint assassinations of select Generals, don’t have nearly the same affect on fear and morale as does the targeting and killing of large formations of soldiers.
If we want wholesale defections and surrender of their armies, we’re going to have to legitimately make them fear for their lives, beyond just the usual rhetoric. I think there’s a lot more killing required ahead before we get the results we want, if our objective is an entirely new and different regime like Pehlavi.

Their towelheads are being taken out. Today, their “assembly of experts” were having a meeting in Qom, and had voted either for or against the 3-man leadership. While those results were being counted, the Israelis bombed the place, and everyone there was either killed or injured. No idea what the outcome of that vote was
Similarly, their parliament has been blown up, so they’re now thinking of meeting virtually, maybe on Zoom. But how does that work, when the country’s internet is completely down, and this time, that includes regime figures as well. Their main TV broadcasting headquarters in Tehran has been demolished as well, so they can’t even get their propaganda out. In fact, I wonder whether there’s any bit of Tehran that they still control?
Already, there have been either ongoing defections, or IRGC soldiers fleeing to Afghanistan – and who knows, maybe Iraq, Turkey and Pakistan as well? I think more and more IRGC personnel are noticing that there is hardly many members of the political or clergy leadership left, and I wonder what the threshold is before they conclude that this war is pretty much lost?

Absolutely spot on Wellington you definitely know what is going on in the real world, unlike our half wit leaders that we have such as Keir Starmer and Jeremy Corbyn (trying hard to make a come back) who are the most pathetic pair of cranks the world has ever produced.

There were 80 in the room when it exploded. Wondferful intelligence by the Israelis hopefully aided by those inside the regime who work for its fall!
The Iranian people need arms in order to take the religious demons down.
There must be some smuggling happening now.

They have now postponed this to next week, and on top of that, have decided to have this meeting remotely, on Zoom or something

They’ve now postponed this meeting by a week, and it’ll now be a remote meeting. Wonder how that will happen, given that Iran’s internet is now completely down, and not just for their citizens

Sadly with Islam killing a handful of their leaders will not stop the hate and evil. There are millions of Islamic supporters who will pick up the pieces both in Iran and around the world. Islam is the terrorist organization behind these evil leaders and terror, they hide behind the misuse of religious freedoms.
