Sky News Australia anchor @RitaPanahi, of Iranian heritage, on live TV, in Farsi:
“A message to the late Supreme Leader: You son of a b*tch, burn in Hell!”
— Eylon Levy (@EylonALevy) March 1, 2026
In stark contrast to Rita Panahi, here is an Islamic Republic of Iran loyalist, Iranian Channel 1 TV host Hassan Soltani blubbering over Khamenei’s death:
Many leftist politicians (such as French President Emmanuel Macron and Spain’s socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez), and their leftist media activist counterparts are shielding the Iranian Islamic regime. They prioritize partisanship over all else, including the national security of their own countries and that of other Western allies. The suffering of Iranian dissidents inside Iran, with over 36 thousand people slaughtered in the streets, matters little to them.
The deep feelings of Hassan Soltani showcase the extent of his commitment to the regime, and there are many like him, unfortunately, living in Western countries.
“Iranian TV Host Breaks Down Weeping Announcing Death Of Supreme Leader Khamenei,” MEMRI, March 3, 2026:
Iranian Channel 1 TV host Hassan Soltani broke down crying while announcing the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a March 1, 2026 broadcast. He described Khamenei as “the sublime and celestial spirit of the indomitable mountain, which is the Guardian, the compassionate father of the nation,” and said that he has “drunk the nectar of martyrdom.
“Hassan Soltani: “Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar! ‘Among the believers there are men who were true to the pledge they made to Allah. Some of them died, others are still awaiting, but they have not changed in the least.’ ‘We belong to Allah…’ ‘We belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.'”
After a life of ceaseless and indefatigable Jihad in the path of Hussein, the sublime and celestial spirit of the indomitable mountain, which is the Guardian, the compassionate father of the nation, the Leader and Imam of the Muslims, the honorable Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei, has drunk the nectar of martyrdom, in honor of the temple of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and has joined the highest kingdom.”We send our blessings to the sublime spirit of the late Imam [Khomeini], and to his worthy successor, the great Leader, the most honorable martyr, the Grand Ayatollah Imam Khomeini… [Rather], Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei.”…

They showed these scenes on Armin & Goldie’s show last Monday. One thing about these demonstrations of grief: they have to weep, otherwise, the regime could accuse them of disloyalty. So I wouldn’t read too much into that
What is more significant is the overwhelming number of Iranians – both at home and abroad – rejoicing at his death. Hope they take out Mojtaba and everybody else in his clan next, so that the IRGC won’t have anybody to push. As it is, there is dissent within the “assembly of experts”, or what’s left of it, against the Revolutionary Guards for forcing Mojtaba’s name on them. They are arguing whether or not that succession should be dynastic or not 😂🤣

This is a bit like 2001, when all of Osama’s top aides, like Mohammed Atef, were killed during the US bombing, and there were no Arabian leaders left to lead al Qaeda, which was the rule within the jihad outfit. As a result, they were forced to give that to Ayman al Zawahiri, despite him being from Egypt. It’s the same thing now: the islamic regime is, in the middle of a war, having a debate on whether or not the supreme leader’s job should be dynastic. Hopefully, Israel eliminates anybody and everybody around whom the regime supporters can rally

Rita has been a joy in her witty program series, “Lefties Losing it”. I had no idea she was of Iranian extraction, yet I remember the pre-1979 Persian students seemed just like Americans. What a tragedy the “revolution” has been.
It appears the new boy, Majtaba Khamenei, has not obtained the religious rank of Ayatollah. The Mullahs did not want to vote for him as the Supreme Leader and were forced by the IRGC.
In terms of killing citizens he is worse than his father, even more conservative, and as his father’s personal assistant and gatekeeper, likely had a hand in the recent slaughter. He likely carries some constant anger due to his personal sexual impotence and the pressure to produce an heir. He was considered a bete noire. These tendencies would explain why the IRGC forced his selection. They wanted approval to streamline the killing of dissidents.

Rita is ethnically Iranian, and she converted from islam to Judaism. Which was a great decision on her part. From the name “Rita”, I used to think she was Indian, until I read otherwise

Why does she wear a cross?

Rita Panahi was born in the USA but her parents took her to Iran, for some reason, when she a child. She was talking to a fellow sky news presenter, Andrew bolt, about her life a few years ago, and she showed a photo of herself, maybe 8 years old wearing Muslim head scarf, and saying she hated wearing it and was a tomboy. Not sure how she came to Australia. She is a great character. I have heard her say that she is now an atheist but that was a couple of years back.

Rita Panahi’s Wikipedia page says she is an atheist. I realize that Wikipedia is not always accurate on all points.

It figures that the Islamic propaganda television shown by that “mullah regime” would show a man weeping over the death of that brutal cruel despicable Ayatollah Khamenei .
The news that the fiendish tyrant Khamenei is death was a glad relief to the Iranians people. For that, oppressive cruel and death inflecting despot now received the death which he ordered of many innocent people was awful. Khamenei himself was far from innocent His deadly violence that is responsible for came back down on and open him.
For the people of Iran who had first hand experience of this cruel brutal cruel tyranny of misery know better than to be so very ignorant to accept in as their” leader”. They are happy and glad to be rid of him. Under his dictatorship, they were miserable. Therefore the Iranian people happy and glad to be rid of him. Likewise , no informed person who knows about the horrendous tyrannical rule would blame them.
. Khamenei that now dead and out of the picture. it’s literally “Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Walter Sieruk says
To say something like “You Islamic son of the bitch, bun in hell. “ it very a very fitting statement towards Ayatollah Khamenei.
For immediately, after Khamenei died he found himself, to his shock and horror, that he is trapped and imprisoned .in a terrible place of extreme suffering which is in the fires of hell.
Furthermore the name of the despicable cruel death evil inflecting despot, his name will rot in history.
For the Bible reveals that “the name of the wicked shall rot.” Proverbs 10:7. [K.J.V.]
Walter Sieruk says
No Muslim doesn’t really have any right weep for or to blame the United States or Israel for the death of Khamenei . For when gets down to basic Quran theology which is the Quran based worldview the one who is really to blame and is responsible for the killing of Khamenei is the god of Islam, Allah. Since such Muslims really liked that tyrant and view his death as tragic disaster For according to the Quran, Allah was responsible for killing Khamenei.
For the Qu ‘ran teaches in Surah 57:22. “No misfortune [disaster] can happen on earth or in your souls but is recorded in a decree [Qu ‘ran ] before [in eternity ] We [Allah] bring it into existence: that is easy for Allah.”
So such Muslims should really blame their god, Allah for killing of that ayatollah.
