Just a few days ago, it looked as if the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s son, Mojtaba Khamenei, was set to succeed his father as supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It was an odd choice, as Mojtaba Khamenei is not an ayatollah, that is, one of the highest ranks of Shi’ite Muslim clergy; he is a Hojjat al-Islam, the immediate lower rank. This is a problem, as the supreme leader is supposed to come from the top ranks of the clergy, not the second line. Also, many of the mullahs objected to the fact that Mojtaba is the son of the slain supreme leader, for the Islamic Republic is supposed to be a meritocracy, not a hereditary monarchy.
And so, according to the Iranian dissident news site Iran International, “the Assembly of Experts’ meeting to announce Mojtaba Khamenei as the new leader was held on Saturday,” but at least fourteen of the members of that august body boycotted the meeting. Mojtaba Khamenei was not announced as the new supreme leader, and it’s back to the drawing board.
There is more. Read the rest here.

There is another reason. Mojtaba Khamenei was targeted by Israel yesterday, but he was not killed, only injured. The severity of the injury has not been circulated.

The fact that he was injured came out yesterday. He was targeted at an earlier date.

There were some reports that claimed that he was killed w/ his father on day 1. But a couple of days ago, on Tousi TV, the report was that he declined the job, stating that he wanted to dedicate the rest of his life to religion and science. If he was injured, it would explain why he no longer wants the job
But more seriously, I doubt that any cleric is willing, let alone eager, to take the job, given that it would make him an instant target. The only way one could survive is to declare an end to Iran enmity w/ Israel, and pretty much adapt all the policies of Reza Pahlavi, and actually mean it! Problem w/ that: such a person would have to have a tight grip over the IRGC and the military, and there’s nobody, not even Mojtaba, who has that. Besides, if he were to try that, there would be a mutiny from the islamic regime ranks that would quickly remove him. While it’s true that many in the islamic leadership know the truth about Israel and the US, that’s not true about their supporters, who believe the propaganda of the regime about the US & Israel, and so would never deign to accept any compromise
Despite all the reporting of public statements from Pezeshkian, Larijani and Aragchi, this regime has already collapsed. Reason we know it is that yesterday, even after Pezeshkian apologized to Iran’s neighbors for attacking them, the attacks resumed. Larijani announced that they are still fair game for hosting US bases, while 2 MPs contradicted Pezeshkian – something that would have been unthinkable 2 weeks ago. This regime is over: they just don’t know it yet. But the sooner power is handed over to a transition team before chaos reigns, the better!

Now this is a great news to make joke on Islam.
Iran’s ‘new Supreme Leader’ after Khamenei killed was ‘treated for impotency’
Mojtaba Khamenei, 56, the son of Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, was ‘treated for impotency’ in private hospitals in London, according to US intelligence (https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/irans-new-supreme-leader-after-36818209)
On the other side, Muhammad was bewitched for a year by the Jews so that he imagined that he had sex with his wives while actually he did not. Khamenei Jr should ask the Jews to do the same. LOL
Aisha (RA) narrated that magic was worked on the Prophet so that he began to fancy that he was doing something he had not actually done—specifically, imagining he had sexual relations with his wives when he had not. This is documented in:
Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 54, Number 490
Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 71, Number 660
Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 8, Book 73, Number 89

I think if more Americans understood the “Mahdi doctrine”. there would be much greater support for completely eradicating the regime if the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Most people I know are totally unaware that the true danger resulting from the regime’s theocratic leadership is their religious belief that by causing global nuclear chaos, they will force their deity to speed up the return of their supposedly Hidden 12th Imam who then will lead the world under the banner of Shia Islam.
I just saw an excellent YouTube video by Dr. Mordechai Kedar, an Islamic and security expert in Israel explaining this “end times” belief of the Ayatollahs and why they can never be in charge of any government anywhere.
