New in PJ Media:
The Iranian Islamic regime hates President Donald Trump with the intensity of a thousand suns. That’s obvious from its threats to kill him and attempts to do so, as well as from its ongoing bellicosity toward the nation that Iran’s bloodthirsty rulers call “the Great Satan.” And yet two regime officials recently deliberately appropriated several of Trump’s trademark phrases. It’s mockery, sure — but it also indicates something more than that.
Trump wrote on Monday morning: “I AM PLEASED TO REPORT THAT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND THE COUNTRY OF IRAN, HAVE HAD, OVER THE LAST TWO DAYS, VERY GOOD AND PRODUCTIVE CONVERSATIONS REGARDING A COMPLETE AND TOTAL RESOLUTION OF OUR HOSTILITIES IN THE MIDDLE EAST.”
Four and a half hours after Trump posted that, the speaker of Iran’s parliament, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, shot back a heated denial: “No negotiations have been held with the US, and fakenews is used to manipulate the financial and oil markets and escape the quagmire in which the US and Israel are trapped.”
“Fakenews”? Ghalibaf has only a shaky command of the English language; as he was decrying “fakenews,” he also asserted improbably that the “Iranian people demand complete and remorseful punishment of the aggressors.” The Iranian people actually hate the Islamic regime, and the punishment Ghalibaf wants to see would be “remorseless,” not “remorseful,” but where did he get this word (actually two words, but one in his usage) “fakenews”? Clearly it comes from Trump himself, the man whom Iranian officials hate only slightly less than American leftists do.
Ghalibaf’s use of Trump’s dismissive term “fake news” followed another Iranian official’s much deeper dive into Trumpspeak. Ebrahim Zolfaghari, a spokesman for the Iranian Armed Forces’ Central Command, said Sunday in fairly good English: “Hey Trump! You are fired! You are familiar with this sentence. Thank you for your attention to this matter. The Central Headquarters of Khatam-al Anbiya.” That’s the unified command headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces.
Yes, both Ghalibaf and Zolfaghari were mocking Trump, but they also unwittingly demonstrated how much they respect him. Zolfaghari can think of no more effective way to show that the Iranian regime is unbowed, and even cheerfully resolute, in the face of the onslaught from the U.S. and Israel than to purloin characteristic phrases from the leader of the Islamic regime’s most hated enemy. For him, Trump is clearly the quintessential contemporary embodiment of strength and confidence in the face of foes who seem to have all the power.
There is more. Read the rest here.

Robert, you are reading way too much into the statements of Ghalibaf and Zolfaghari.
The only “respect” that they have for Trump is that he, through the Navy and Air Force, is kicking their asses from Tehran to Bandar Abbas (and elsewhere) within Iran.
Also, the term “fake news” did not originate with Trump; it can be traced back to 1890, and the concept can be traced back to the Romans. More recently, the term was resurrected on Facebook to describe false stories, masquerading as “news,” primarily generated in Macadonia. Shortly after that, in 2017, the term was popularized by Trump on Twitter, when referring to stories from CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, ABC and other “news” outlets. After that, it want mainstream.
Those two Iranian jokers did nothing by parroting Trump, except to paint a big bulls-eye on The Central Headquarters of Khatam-al Anbiya.

I now think that Trump’s statements are meant to sow discord within the islamic regime. By claiming that he’s talking to factions within the regime, he’s making those factions unpalatable to core regime supporters, who believe the drivel dished out by the regime for the last 47 years. Having been raised on the “Death to America” slogans, it’s absolutely unpalatable for them to, at this stage, accept any compromise w/ “The Great Satan”
Tousi TV reported that the war has now entered the regime change phase, and that’s the only context in which the current statements by the US, and denials by the islamic regime, can simultaneously make sense. What’s ridiculous is the choice of Islamabad as a negotiation center, as opposed to Istanbul or Muscat: while Oman is a genuine mediator and Turkey a de-jure ally of US while being a de-facto ally of Iran, Pakistan is in no way an ally of the US, and its populace right now is rabidly behind the islamic regime, regardless of what the Iranian people want. So all this seems to suggest that we’re trying to stir the pot and cause an escalation in infighting within the regime, where the words of the president or the foreign minister are now meaningless

Excellent insight! And I agree that Islamabad (or any place in Pakistan) is the wrong forum.
The U.S. (and Israel) need to keep the bombs falling until the demonic Iranian leadership folds by unconditional surrender. The end of the war needs to be on unconditional terms that the U.S. sets, including jailing and turning over the Mullahs and IRGC leaders to the new government for their crimes against humanity after the ones responsible for shooting missiles at civilian targets are tried for war crimes.

Yes. Muslim love Trump because Shia Muslims get Allah’s Garden Paradise(Qur’an 9:111) while Sunni Muslims in the West continue their Islamization which includes with their terrorist attacks against Non-Muslims, all with the day’s work(Qur’an 9:5, 29, 111; 49:15, etc.). Paradise is available for all Muslims, a WIN-WIN. Islamization, like Cultural Marxism, deceives and virtue-signals against Non-Muslims using Islamic Law, discrimination, segregation, violence, and terrorism through our Western Institutions via Muslim MONEY and Muslim LIVES as taught in Islam’s Qur’an(Qur’an 3:54; 7:99; 9:5, 29, 111; 49:15, etc.).
Islamization includes Criminal-Terrorist-Gang Organizations in Mosques, Muslim Homes, Muslim Schools, Islamic Centers, Sharia Courts, Non-Profits, Governments, etc. to fund, to educate, and to propagate Muslim Propaganda against all Non-Muslims. Allah in Qur’an 49:15 teaches, “Surely the believers[Muslims] are only those who believed in Allah and his messenger. They do not doubt, and they performed JIHAD with their MONEY and their LIVES for the sake of Allah. Those are the truthful.”
Allah in Qur’an 9:29 commands, “Engage in war with those who do not believe in Allah nor in the last day[Non-Muslims]. Nor forbid what Allah and his messenger forbid[in Islamic Law], nor believe in the religion of the truth[Islam] among those who have given the book[Jews and Christians] until they pay the jizyah[Extortion Payment] out of hand and they are subdued[disgraced].” After all, Allah in Qur’an 8:39 says, “And engage in war with them[Non-Muslims] until there will not be sedition and the religion will be completely to Allah…”

Iran has appointed Mohammad-Bagher Zolghadr, a senior former Revolutionary Guards commander, as secretary of its Supreme National Security Council, a deputy to the president said.

Reading the above news clip, looks like the islamic regime not only secretly admire Trump, but they admire Biden as well. In what is clearly the islamic version of the Autopen, Zolghadr’s appointment was approved by the Supreme Leader, and made by the president. Sounds very much like Joe Biden signing all those executive orders and pardons, of which he had no idea. If Mojtaba Khamenei approved the appointment of Zolghadr, where is the evidence that he did?
Anyway, like Sec Hegseth mentioned the other day, all these are temp jobs. Also, as I pointed out above, there is now more infighting within the IRGC due to Trump’s claims that negotiations are going on w/ the regime. Hopefully, like the two cats of Kilkenny, they’ll all destroy each other
