After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this… pic.twitter.com/prtu86DpEr

Iran killed over 1,000 Americans and tried to assasinate President Trump
You either have no problem with that or you’re planning to run for Congress pic.twitter.com/MrVN3rvtuv

Kent could not have come to this conclusion without ignoring a great deal of evidence that the Islamic Republic of Iran did indeed pose an imminent threat to our nation.
GFF says
The second paragraph is a real kicker. No imminent threat & of course, blame Israel.
Tell that to ‘The heroes of Telemark’.
Patton says
Guy sounds like he’s ready for a groyper sandwich with Tucker and Candace.
Billy Bones says
How did he get that job in the first place?
࿗Infidel࿘ says
I’m guessing that Tucker got him that job, just like he got Trump to put JD Vance on the ticket
somehistory says
‘He has no problem with it ***and*** he’s planning to run for Congress.’
࿗Infidel࿘ says
From which party?
somehistory says
What do you think? The party of lies, maybe? Bigger lies? Fewer members telling the Truth about islime?
Bexarkat says
I agree he’s planning a run for Congress and as a Democrat.
Wellington says
I have come across information to the effect that this guy was a major leaker and was going to be fired, thus his resignation to make it look like a matter of principle. No loss but of course he will now become a darling of the Left.
John Smith says
What you say makes a lot of sense Wellington. If he couldn’t see that this Islamic regime posed a serious and imminent threat, then he wasn’t fit for the job in the first place. He should have been sacked.
gravenimage says
Thanks for that background, Wellington.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Like others have alluded to above, I’d be interested to know his relationship w/ Tucker Carlson
Besides that, had he not resigned, he’d have been a good candidate for termination. After all, he’s the chief of counter-terrorism, so that begs several questions:
⮞ How cognisant is he of muslim threats to the homeland?
⮞ If he is, why has his agency not been operating against them? We read stories every day of either attacks on synagogues or Jews, attempted jihadist attacks and so on. How has his agency not been on top of those?
⮞ Counter-terrorism at home would mean nipping these threats in the bud. Counter-terrorism abroad would mean monitoring both Leftist groups, such as Antifa, and jihad groups like muslim brotherhood, Hizbullah, Lashkar e Toiba, Tabhlighi Jamaat, et al. What has his agency been doing on either front, and how was he not too busy to bother about the war w/ Iran?
For the next person to head the agency, the president should take suggestions from the David Horowitz Freedom Center. In fact, my recommendation for the head of this agency would be either John Guandolo or Frank Gaffney, both of who are islam-aware!
commonsense says
Infidel: John Guandolo would indeed be an excellent choice- even better, I think, than Gaffney. I have been reading Guandolo’s posts on X for a few months. He thoroughly understands Islam, often trying to correct other, better-known and more influential users’ posts, usually to no avail.
Karen Dowden says
Yes so agree!
Wellington says
In agreement with you, Infidel, respecting what you stated.
ME Infidel says
Guandolo or Gaffney as the Director with Robert Spencer as a special advisor would be totally appropriate which is why it will never happen.
James Lincoln says
ME Infidel,
100% agree.
Karen Dowden says
These 2 are great choices.

Westman says
What Joe Kent said in effect is, “I don’t give a damn about Israel, the terrorist organizations that Iran funds, the 1979 hostage crisis, the US service men targeted over the years, the captive and murdered Iranians, the 60% refined u235 which is 8 times more pure than any legitimate needs, or Iran’s nuclear threats”
He says, no imminent threat? That’s not the usual reply when the doctor says you have cancer but maybe you can wait a year for treatment because your death isn’t, “imminent”.
Remember the Brits who declared war on Germany, without an adequate army, for a, “non-imminent” threat? Obviously, Joe can’t read the signs nor has he learned enough of Islam’s and the Regime’s doctrines to know that a goal of Iran’s Regime is destroying the “Little Satan” and the “Great Satan”.
Joe would wait for a nuclear 9/11. But wait! Instead of staying in the current crisis and paying a political price to secure the US and Israel, Joe won’t let a crisis go to waste. He bails out, and a run for office is on the horizon.
Wellington says
+1
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Also, the accusation that Israel is behind US getting into this war defies any logic. If anything, it was Trump that prevented Israel from doing at the end of the 12 day war what it is doing now – taking out key figures of the regime, like Khamenei, Larijani, et al. Israel was perfectly happy to conduct this military operation all on its own. If a country is willing to do that, it’s not going to put pressure on another country to join it, particularly since that ally will have veto powers over what it does
If Joe Kent wasn’t intelligent enough to figure that out by himself – something that I, w/ zero access to any classified data – could figure out, he was uniquely unqualified for this job
JS says
So he wants to leave a nuclear holocaust to his kids and grandkids? What a dummy.
More than one threat says
Just as well he resigned.
Someone seemingly unable to accurately appraise the sources of the threats of terrorism is hardly suited to be the US Director of the National Counterterrorism Center.
Hugh Fitzgerald says
From an article published in 2022, when Kent was running for a seat in the House:
“While Republican Joe Kent touted his support for prominent far-right figures like Reps. Marjorie Taylor Green and Paul Gosar and supported MAGA policies, he was speaking with Greyson Arnold, a Nazi sympathizer.
Kent’s exchange with Arnold is all the more notable because just weeks later Kent’s campaign worked to distance him from Arnold after photos surfaced of the pair together. A Kent campaign strategist told the Associated Press in July that the campaign did not do background checks on those who took selfies with the candidate.
Arnold has a well-documented history of making White nationalist, racist, antisemitic and pro-Nazi statements, including once calling Adolf Hitler “a complicated historical figure which many people misunderstand.”
James Lincoln says
Unbelievable.
And this guy was the Director of the National Counterterrorism Center?
Is he a RINO mole?
Stive says
Joe Kent made my day as more of his lovers and dumb ass Israel haters came out of the wood work so I got to unsubscribe from more people now that I know they sold out to Joe Kent, Candice, tucker, Alex Jones and all Satan’s captured minions.
Kenn Goodwin says
Sold out
OLD GUY says
Yes Israel as a true ally of America and probably encouraged Americans to not only protect Israel who is in range of a nuclear bomb but also the threat to America if Iran completes their nuclear dream of destroying Israel and America. Iran was and is a threat to all of the world.
