One of the most revolting aspects of the terrible story of the murder of Sheridan Gorman was the reaction of Chicago Alderwoman Maria Hadden, who is, of course, a Democrat. Gorman was a freshman at Loyola University Chicago who was walking on the beach with her friends when an illegal migrant named Jose Medina-Medina approached her and shot her in the head. In response, Haddon did her best to shift the blame from Medina-Medina to Gorman, claiming that she “startled” him, as if that justified murder, and completely ignored the fact that Medina-Medina was an illegal migrant who should never have had a gun or been in the country in the first place.
Now, however, Hadden wants you to know that the real victim of this episode is neither Sheridan Gorman or Jose Medina-Medina, but… Maria Hadden. She has partially walked back her egregious remarks on Gorman’s murder, but now she claims that those evil right-wingers are being mean to her for no reason, and thus she has been forced to close her office. It’s the classic leftist tactic: when one is drawing just criticism, claim victimhood.
For Hadden, it all started when she said:
From what I’ve been told so far, right, from what police know, from — from speaking to the students who were with her, um, it seems she might have… as they were just out, you know, people go out to the beach all the time, right? And they go out on the pier, they walk around, so that the kids were out doing normal, normal things people do in the neighborhood, and it sounds like this might have been a wrong place, wrong time, running into a person who had a gun. They might have startled this person at the end of the pier, unintentionally. Um, uh, but that’s all we know. So from what I’ve been told, what police investigation has turned up so far, what they’ve been able to share with the media and with Loyola University, we don’t believe there is cause for broader community concern.
Actually, there was and is tremendous cause for community concern. An illegal migrant, someone who should not have been in the country in the first place, murdered a random young woman in cold blood, but Hadden doesn’t want you thinking too much about that. So she tried to recast the murder as a case of a poor “person who had a gun” being “startled.” That interpretation of events doesn’t require any hard looks at immigration policy or at the Democrats’ self-serving opposition to ICE.

For someone who berates Mr Spencer for commenting on the state of British dhimmitude, you sure have a great understanding of why the Second Amendment exists. It is to prevent bad people w/ guns from doing bad things by having good people w/ guns. Sure, you guys don’t believe in that, and that’s fine, except that you do you and we do us

What is this wrong place wrong time nonsense that this elected idiot is talking about? That students are unsafe walking around in public areas because illegal aliens who have been deported reenter the country illegally again get arrested and the city of Chicago will not hand them over to ICE to be deported again might kill them ? The facts I have read so far from different news stories in the MSM in this is case was this guy was deported ,he then reenter the country illegally was arrested in the city of Chicago for shoplifting ICE was not notify he was released without bond then he shot this girl in the back of her head as she was running away? The spin will be the illegal handgun right because Illinois has some of the hardest gun laws for law abiding citizens to get guns .So by this logic if this illegal alien stab her to death when he was “startled ” it would not be as bad. Another victim of the failure of sanctuary states not following federal immigration laws ,maybe federal tax dollars should be held back from these states ?Maybe the mayors and governors of these states should be charge for openly breaking and encouraging others in their states to violate federal immigration law?

Of course, she looks out for the poor, disadvantaged, and, “sexuality-expanded”. It seems in her mind that a privileged girl should not have been on that poor man’s pier at the wrong time. Alderman Maria Hadden understands how a defenseless girl could be mistaken for a threat by this criminal, however, the terror experienced by the girl he killed, not so much.
Another “Community Organizer” of which the world has had a belly-full. At least she can’t claim the illegal immigrant killer could be her son.

Who the illegal immigrates who are violent felons who cannot be deported because of blue states refusing to work with ICE. How many just keep committing crimes and moving ,or just stay put in blue cities until they kill or serious hurt citizens? The democrats are fighting tooth and nail on no voting ID used why? They are fighting not having ICE at polling places why? They are encouraging people to harass or and attack ICE agents who are doing their jobs why? Is the illegal alien a sub voting block in blue cities why the fear of enforcing the federal immigration laws on the books or trying to make sure there is no voting fraud going on in blue cities or anywhere else ? The democratic party excuse is voter fraud is very small ,why should anyone need photo ID? You need photo ID to enter most federal ,state and city run building on official business .You need photo ID to open a bank account ,to fly on a plane .You need photo ID to buy alcohol ,tobacco ,even to buy spray paint in some states .Free photo ID can be precured in all 50 states .Anyone who wants to register to vote and needs help getting ID and other paperwork can be help by either calling the local democratic .party ,or republican party ,or any other policial party in their city ,town or village .Any policial party will be glad to have you register with them .Many will even help you get to the polling place in many cases they want your vote .

Liberals who think sexualizing children is okay and anyone who disagrees is a fascist. Same liberals who are hijacking Christianity and twisting it to use as a cudgel against those who refuse to accept the abuse of children.
And finally, racist Democrats, liberals and leftists who refer to people as “black and brown” or “poc” and who, due to their egregious patronizing paternalism think said groups are incapable of doing anything without their help (aka their grotesque mental gymnastics like the harridan in the original post). The same group that encourages, defends and attacks on behalf of all of the above.

The murderer approached his victim–wy would he do this if she “startled” him? Then, no issue with his being an armed illegal alien.
