A planned law that would’ve mandated the flying of the Ontario flag at all provincial buildings and banned the desecration of the Canadian flag has been scuttled by the Ford government, Global News has learned, after members of the Progressive Conservative caucus questioned the necessity of the bill. Multiple sources told Global News the proposal, spearheaded as part of a patriotism push by Minister of Citizenship and Multiculturalism Graham McGregor, would have potentially violated the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and may have faced court challenges.

But the Iranian flag is another matter. As usual.

After an Islamic hate rally known as Al Quds, the heroes of the Toronto police service didn’t arrest any members of the Muslim hate mob… including one who seemed to be threatening violence.

But they did arrest two Persian counterprotesters for various acts including… in the words of a police force almost as compromised as the London Met police, “the accused was then observed to be lighting an Islamic Republic of Iran flag on fire and wearing Islamic Republic of Iran flags attached to the soles of his shoes”.

What’s interesting is that these are the only ‘crimes’ that could justify the Toronto Sharia police’s charges of “public Incitement of Hatred”.

Hatred against what? The two men are Iranian. So this can’t be hatred based on ethnicity. So according to the Toronto police, protesting against the Islamic Republic of Iran is itself a hate crime.

    • I can see a point where the muslim side will ditch the Left. What I am wondering is whether there is a point where the Leftist side will ditch the muslims?

        Using the 1979 Iranian revolution as a template, Leftists (in that case the commie Tudeh party) did not find out about “ditching the muslims” until it was too late.

        • Exactly, James. Anyone interested should read “Letters to my Torturer” by Houshang Asadi. I am *no* fan of communism, but the Islamic liquidation of the Tudeh Party is harrowing. And many of these fools went to their brutal deaths screaming that they always “supported the revolution”–not understanding what this means in Islam.

The vaccines are safe and effective (the Report on injuries and deaths has been sealed for 15 years). The government is appealing the ruling of the Emergency Act that said it was unlawful. The climate nutters are pushing for Net O. They are pushing C-9, a hate speech law while out on the streets the beehive is buzzing, and they keep poking it. So much horsepucky, when the “useless little eaters” are starving to death and they have to pay the jhiza tax and conform to Islam, they might catch on.

        • A few days ago, I read some of what an idiot had to say about being the ‘first’ to get the moderna jab….a real smart-aleck, as if not dying after, not getting really ill after, makes him special and no others really were adversely affected. He probably got plain water.
          And a new study shows out of a million children, all who got jabbed have heart problems now.
          So much about this system in which we live makes me want to puke in anger.

  6. That is funny, given that in Iran, Iranians are busy burning the islamic republican flag – the one w/ the 4 crescents and a sword – ☫ in the middle. The flag that they have been using has been the pre-1979 lion and sun flag, which has symbolized the Iranian monarchy. Given the turmoil in Iran, burning that flag has been the least of the Basij’s worries

    But while Basij fails to punish Iranians for burning that hated flag, leave it to the RCMP to act like the Canadian branch of Basij

      Many people had not seen the previous flag. Hopefully it will fly again over whatever city the people decide will be the Capitol.

      The emoji list has the flags of the various countries, and Iran’s is represented by 🇮🇷

      I wish that the emoji list had another section for “Alternate flags”, or flags of either movements, or past flags of countries. That way, flags of entities like Nazi Germany, Soviet Union, East Germany, South Yemen…. could be included, as could flags of movements, such as Tibet, Kurdistan, Khalistan, Basque ETA,….. As well as historic flags of various dynasties and monarchies. So that if people wanted to represent them, particularly in X posts that are so character limited, they could

  7. Modern Canada remains a very confused and pathetic nation. Wasn’t this way even some 25 years ago, certainly not a 100 years ago, but is now.

    As an American, I fervently wish that Canada would no longer elect utter fools like Trudeau and Carney but then, as an American, I fervently wish that America would realize that the Democratic Party of the USA, along with its surrogates such as the MSM, academia and the completely woeful entertainment industry, has also done great damage to America and, by extension, to the West at large.

    Western Civilization is slipping away. Yes it is. In Canada, in America, in Western Europe, et al. And a few resilient nations like Poland and Hungary doing their best to save the West, laudable as it its, will not be enough. Not nearly enough.

    And so back to Canada which allows the burning of the Canadian flag but not the Iranian flag, Rather like in one Western nation after another you can burn a Bible but you better not burn a Koran.

    Madness. Sheer madness. No excuse for this idiocy. None at all.

    Arrest anyone who may – in some way – cause a “breach of the peace”.

    But – eventually – the dam breaks…

    • In the past, I’ve made an argument for re-architecting North America north of the Rio Grande along political lines:

      ⮞ Merge the US and Canada
      ⮞ All Blue states of the US – merge them w/ the provinces of Canada that tend to vote Leftist, be it Trudeau, Carney, whoever. Call this resultant country Canada, and have either Trudeau or Carney run it. Maybe Harry & Meghan can be their king & queen? They’ll have cities like NYC, DC, San Francisco, LA, Portland, Seattle as well as Toronto, Ottawa
      ⮞ All red states of the US – merge them w/ the provinces of Canada that vote conservative – Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia. Call this country the US, and have Trump as the president. Only thing lacking will be major big cities, but maybe we could try out a distributed capital – have the Executive branch in one city, legislative in another, Judiciary in a third, and also scatter the departments – base the US navy at Charleston, SC, army at Ft Bragg, Treasury in Charlotte, NC, and so on. That way, there will be no way for people to just live in government forever

      Not sure about Quebec – maybe make them independent?

      But once this is done, build walls b/w America and Canada. Canada can take in all the illegals that America won’t have, and demonstrate how much stronger and better it makes them. US can implement the MAGA agenda completely, and not be a self-hating country. Only issue would be blue cities in red states, and red rural areas in blue ones, so maybe a population exchange can be encouraged
