For years, the Islamic Republic of Iran has gotten away, literally, with murder. It has supplied weapons and money to three terrorist groups, Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. It helped Bashar Assad to savagely suppress his own citizens during the Syrian civil war. It assassinated regime dissidents living in Europe. It attacked Saudi oil installations. At home, the Islamic Republic has repeatedly massacred its own citizens as they again and again rose up in protest against the dictatorship that had brought economic despair to all and death to some, such as the Kurdish girl Mahsa Amini, whom the religious police killed after she was arrested for not wearing her hijab correctly. The last such massacre took place this January, when the IRGC and Basij militia killed 36,500 Iranian protesters. Now, at long last, Iran has been overwhelmingly condemned at the UN, where 135 nations supported a Security Council resolution, which Bahrain tabled on behalf of the Gulf Cooperation Council, that denounced the Islamic Republic. The UN Security Council on Wednesday voted in favor of a resolution condemning Iran. This is highly unusual for Tehran. Previously, Iran’s regime has been able to spread havoc all over the Middle East, and around the world, without facing consequences.
For years, Iranian-backed militias and terror groups attacked countries, and Iran carried out attacks directly, such as a 2019 attack on Saudi Arabia using drones and cruise missiles. Iran was linked to assassinations in Europe and other plots. However, the regime never seemed to face any censure.
Now, with Iran attacking a dozen countries in the Middle East in the wake of the US and Israeli attack on Iran, Tehran is facing consequences for its action. The Arab states are angry at Iran’s attacks. Iran has launched thousands of drones and cruise missiles in the last twelve days. As Arab News noted, “Resolution 2817, tabled by Bahrain on behalf of the Gulf Cooperation Council, was co-sponsored by 135 countries, representing one of the largest shows of support for a Security Council resolution in recent years.”
This is an important diplomatic achievement for the Gulf states. The resolution condemned Iranian missile and drone attacks which have targeted the Gulf states and Jordan. “Thirteen members of the council voted in favor, while Russia and China abstained,” Arab News noted. Russia and China are friends of Iran but have not stuck by the Islamic regime in Tehran.
Both Russia and China could have exercised their veto power at the Security Council; neither chose to do so. They are aware that the world has lined up against Iran, and the most they were willing to do was to abstain on the vote.
The resolution unambiguously declares that Iran has violated international law in using its missiles and drones to massively attack sites in all of its Gulf neighbors — Bahrain, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, as well as much smaller attacks on Jordan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey.
Iran is now without friends at the UN. Its repeated attacks on all of its Gulf neighbors has turned them into enemies. China and Russia were willing only to abstain from the Security Council resolution denouncing Iran, not to forthrightly veto it. How strange, and welcome, is a session at the UN where Israel is not in the dock, and instead, its greatest enemy is overwhelmingly condemned and justice is done on the East River.

Finally, at last, it really should have been done decades before, but finally the United Nations has condemned that horrendously brutal cruel oppressive malicious and murderous Islamic tyrannical regime that has as its official title “The Islamic Republic of Iran.”
For the Iranian people are very justified, right and righteous to chant repeatedly “Death to the Islamic Republic “ It’s not even a real “ Republic” in the very essence of that word.

In other words, the insincere, disingenuous and outright lying Ayatollah Khomeini made many bogus promise he really had no intention of keeping. His lying deception worked, for he achieved great power in Iran.
Furthermore, of the many heinously evils outcomes of that Islamic “revolution” is the extremely cruel, brutal and demonic misogyny of this hideous Islamic regime. Not only against women but even young girls.
As explained by a former Iranian Revolutionary Guard member who defected to the West and how now lives in America his book also informs the reader about the malicious and murderous affront girls in Iran’s Evin prison which reads that those in power ,the “paraded teenage girls in front in front of me as they led them to their deaths. These girls were barely out of their childhood, barely old enough to think of themselves, much less form thoughts against the state. They knew nothing about the machinations of politics. They were innocent in every sense of the word and certainty innocent of trumped –up charges that led to their imprisonment. Yet they suffered fates too brutal for even the most vicious criminal. ..Their few remaining moments of life had been filled with the level of abuse that few can imagine”
The author further states “They tortured and killed young girls, in God’s name and before their execution they raped them because they believed that if a girl dies virgin, she will go to heaven, and they wanted to deny them this reward.” [2]

The murder of Mahsa Amini is very sad and tragic and that horrendous evil of her being murdered is because of the oppressive vicious brutal cruel and deadly misogynistic Islamic regime of Iran.
That action of male Muslim who are officials murdering defenseless, helpless women in cold blood is a heinous and hideous has occurred before and if that murderous Islamic regime isn’t overthrown such wicked killing will continue.
Another example of such callous despicable heartless anti-female evil is when a teenage girl in Iran was talking to her boyfriend on the phone and then the Islamic state “police” walked over to her and shot her dead. They did that wicked and malicious thing to her because she was talking to her boyfriend and they also didn’t like her clothing. [1]
That was a clear cut case of murder and vicious Islamic madness by Iran’s Islamic state “ police”, who call themselves the “Revolutionary Guards”, they got away with their hideous and malice –filled evil because the mullahs as well as other villains in power in that tyrannical Islamic regime.

No human who studied history – old and recent – could support their views as expressed over the last half century. If this vote indicates a real change in attitudes, I salute it – but I’ll wait a bit to see.

Not surprised at the Russia and China abstention. These nations have, “useful”, relations instead of treaties. We can be certain that Russia has a good understanding of Islam after two Chechnya wars and is currently quite burdened by the Ukraine war. China only values the relationship for Oil and gas and has recently discovered the one belt road initiative, when it comes to Muslims, is more like a belt in the mouth.
