Far-left Politico enraged that Tuberville says ‘Islamists are the enemy’

Politico, like all establishment media propaganda organs, persists in assuming that Sharia is merely a set of “religious rules,” and that opposition to it is simply “bigotry” and “Islamophobia.” The fact that it is political, supremacist, violent and expansionist never, ever enters into their reporting. You’d almost get the idea that they’re trying to lull Americans into complacency regarding a genuine threat.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) on Thursday shared a social media post calling Muslims “the enemy,” joining a growing number of sitting GOP members to share Islamophobic rhetoric.

Tuberville on Thursday retweeted a post that showed a picture of New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani sitting cross-legged on the floor surrounded by people that was juxtaposed with a photo of the Twin Towers in New York burning on Sept. 11, 2001. The caption of the original post read, “Less than 25 years apart.”

Tuberville added his own caption: “The enemy is inside the gates.”

A spokesperson for Tuberville’s office referred POLITICO to a separate post by Tuberville on Thursday that stated that calling Islam a “cult” doesn’t make someone an Islamophobe, among other things….

    A little OT, Ted crruz said that the phrase “Christ the King” is antisemitic. Who will jump on him for that?
    If one said “Messiah the King” would cruz consider that also antisemitic? It means the same thing.
    And Jesus, the Christ or Messiah, was a Jew, though the rulers of the Jews did not accept Him as the Messiah.
    Is that why cruz says calling Christ “the King” is antisemitic? Are Christians to be punished for that? Does cruz expect Christians to stop viewing Jesus Christ as King over themselves?

      • Lots of stuff with which I disagree….as we have disagreed before. For “rulers” of which I wrote, consult the Christian Greek Scriptures. Since the people had Scribes, Pharisees, Sadducees and Priests, they had “rulers” from the early days before Christ came to release His people from the Law they could not follow.

        Paul did not begin Christianity. Jesus’ early disciples were, by Divine decision, called Christian in the Book of Acts. And the Apostle Peter referenced his fellow believers by that word.

        I don’t care if you disagree with me, but you seem to want to insult me. and that’s fine too, but since I have nothing against the Jews, it just shows your personal attitude and the chip on your shoulder.

          For your information, I have been spit un, had a bag of garbage thrown on my house, two of my children were threatened by an adult male with a gun. dogs ordered to attack me and had a water hose turned on me….because people don’t like my Faith.

          Furthermore, I’m not trying to *take *your* Scriptures as my own.* They belong to God; I merely read and try to apply the knowledge as I seek wisdom in how to please the Sovereign God of the Bible.

          King Solomon said a prayer at the dedication of the Temple and asked God to bless everyone who looked toward that Temple and searched for God.

  2. Senator Tuberville is correct. The enemy is inside the gates and has been for quite a while. They hate our culture, our freedoms, our way of life. They hate everything about us. If they did not they would assimilate and appreciate how we live as Americans. Why do they need their own enclaves.? Why cant people see this and wake up to the reality that the enemy is here amongst us?
    It would be a hell of a lot easier to say, yes everything is fine. But we cannot as it is not fine. Dearborn, Waxahachie, Houston,. Minnesota. They have been taken over by the enemy and nobody, but a very few want to fight for it. If we don’t the entire nation will be looking like Dearborn. They must go or we must fight them.     • What Politico and Axios have done, though, has been to render the Washington Post irrelevant to the point that even Bezos no longer has a use for it. People in K-Street who used to go to the latter for intrigues on Capitol Hill or the White House or SCOTUS now go to the former, making the latter worthless even as an instrument to influence left-leaning policymakers

  5. Islam and its Muslims are the enemy of ALL Non-Muslims as taught by Allah in Islam’s Qur’an(Qur’an 9:5, 29, 111; 49:15, etc.). Allah in Qur’an 4:101 says, “…Surely the infidels[Non-Muslims] were your clear enemies.” Allah in Qur’an 8:39 says, “And engage in war with them[Non-Muslims] until there will not be sedition and the religion will be completely to Allah…”

    Are we sure? Allah in Qur’an 9:29 commands, “Engage in war with those who do not believe in Allah nor in the last day[Non-Muslims]. Nor forbid what Allah and his messenger forbid[Islamic Law], nor believe in the religion of the truth[Islam] among those who have given the book[Jews and Christians] until they pay the jizyah[Extortion Payment] out of hand and they are subdued.”

    Characteristics of a cult:

    1. Absolute authoritarianism without accountability

    2. Zero tolerance for criticism or questions

    3. Lack of meaningful financial disclosure regarding the budget

    4. Unreasonable fears about the outside world that often involve evil conspiracies and persecutions

    5. A belief that former followers are always wrong for leaving and there is never a legitimate reason for anyone else to leave

    6. Abuse of members(and wives)

    7. Records, books, articles, or programs documenting the abuses of the leader or group

    8. Followers feeling that they are never able to be “good enough”

    9. A belief that the leader is right at all times

    10. A belief that the leader is the exclusive means of knowing “truth” or giving validation

    Compare this list to Iran’s Islam under Khomeini and Khamenei. It’s a cult intended to keep the citizens under the control of delusional psychopaths who believe themselves to be the recipients of divine power.

      According to that, there are not 10, but 17 attributes of a cult. He points out that while most cult satisfy the definition in a few of those ways, islam satisfies every one of those 17 criteria. Therefore, if islam ain’t a cult, no one else is!

      The essay also busts the contention that if billions of people follow it, that it’s not a cult: points out that it’s a “argumentum ad numerum” logical fallacy. It also questions the legitimacy of calling it a religion, just like Rebecca Bynum does in her book “Allah is dead: why Islam is not a religion”

      I have maintained, since I learnt all these facts about islam here on JihadWatch, that islam is an geopolitical, ideological cult. Something like an intersection b/w Communism and Branch Davidian

  7. Why does Politico care? It’s not like they want Republicans to keep getting elected:

    1. If what Sen Tuberville said was offensive, that would make him less popular among voters in his state, and thereby sink him
    2. As a result, his seat would flip blue

    Of course, Politico knows that most Alabamans agree w/ him. So there is no price he’ll be paying

    “Christian parents separated from daughters lose appeal for reunification; labeled ‘extremists’ for attending church”

    “A Swedish couple that have been separated from their two eldest daughters for nearly four years due to alleged “religious extremism” have had an appeal rejected by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).

    Daniel and Bianca Samson’s ordeal began in late 2022 when government authorities took the daughters into their care. The intervention was prompted by an allegation by the eldest daughter that her parents would not allow them to wear makeup or own a phone due to their purported “religious extremism.”
    According to ADF International, which is helping the Samsons, the daughter later retracted her accusations and the authorities could find no evidence that either girl had been abused in any way.

    Despite this, the girls have still not been allowed to return to their parents and are being kept in separate foster homes. The girls have reportedly said they wish to be reunited with their parents and have started to suffer health problems. At present, the Samsons can only see their daughters once a month and under supervision.

    Having taken the case to the ECHR, the court said that it could not rule on the issue on the grounds that all possible legal remedies in Sweden have not yet been exhausted.

    The ECHR indicated that the Samsons could take claims that their religious freedom has been violated to Swedish courts. According to ADF, Swedish authorities have used the Samsons practice of attending church three times a week as evidence of “religious extremism.”
    Guillermo A Morales Sancho, legal counsel for ADF, said, “Parents have the primary responsibility and right to raise their children. When the state interferes with family life based on values-based parenting choices or discrimination on the basis of faith, fundamental freedoms are at stake.

    “We deeply regret the court’s decision to reject this case, considering that this family has been torn apart for over three years despite a full investigation that cleared Mr. and Mrs. Samson of any abuse and the fact that the social services certified their capacity and fitness for parenting after they successfully completed an official training.

    “Families should be free to live according to their convictions without fear of losing their children to the state.”

  17. I still think using the words “Islamist” or “Islamism” is a cop-out to avoid saying the words Muslim and Islam. Sure, Islam-ISM is right up there with Fascism and Communism, but it gives the false impression that there are two forms of Islam…a benign form and an evil form but there’s only one Islam and they have the same Koranic Manifesto.

  21. The terms “Islamist” and “Radical Islam” as well as “Moderate Islam.” are unknown in the Islamic world. Likewise, the terms “Radical Muslim: and “Moderate Muslim” are also unknown in the Islamic world. Those are Western terms. For what a Westerner would call an “Islamist” ” or a “radical Muslim” in the world of Islam that person would be seen as a “devout Muslim” Also, what a Westerner would call a Moderate Muslim “in the Islamic world he would be viewed as a Muslim “who isn’t fully committed to Islam.”
