We know what New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani thinks of Jews. He doesn’t much care for them, and that goes for Jews outside Israel, too. After all, he won’t condemn the homicidal chant “Globalize the Intifada” that is a call to kill Jews everywhere.
Now he’s been dissing the Catholics, too, for as non-Muslims, they, too, are “the most vile of created beings.”
More on his refusal to attend the installation of Ronald Hicks as the Archbishop of New York, can be found here: “Mamdani skips Catholic installation of new archbishop of New York,” JNS, February 11, 2026:
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is facing mounting criticism for skipping the installation of the new archbishop of New York, which the mayor of the city traditionally attends.
The Catholic League said Mamdani did not go to the installation of Ronald Hicks as the new Archbishop of New York, despite being invited.
“He could easily have been there,” said Bill Donohue, president of the Catholic League. “Instead, he attended to business as usual.”
Donohue added that “the installation began a few hours after the Interfaith Breakfast at the New York Public Library; it is a short walk up Fifth Avenue to St. Patrick’s Cathedral.”
He noted that one in three New Yorkers is Catholic, representing “the largest faith community in the city,” adding that “Mamdani’s professed interest in diversity and inclusion obviously hits a brick wall when it comes to Catholics. He wants nothing to do with them.”
He said this is the third snub from Mamdani. According to Donohue, “Representatives of the clergy from several religions were present at the inauguration of Zohran Mamdani. But no Catholic priest was there.”
Catholic clergy were also absent from Mamdani’s Interfaith Breakfast on Feb. 6.
It’s not that the Catholic clergy refused to intend Mamdani’s inauguration, or his Interfaith Breakfast. They weren’t invited.
As JNS reported, the Anti-Defamation League, UJA-Federation of New York and the New York Board of Rabbis did not sponsor this year’s interfaith prayer gathering as they have in past years. The ADL was not invited. Rabbi Joseph Potasnik, executive vice president of the Board of Rabbis, went. Federation declined to respond regarding attendance.
The three Jewish groups that did not sponsor the interfaith prayer gathering this year were sending a message about their deep unhappiness with Mayor Mamdani’s continued anti-Israel animus. The largest of the three groups, the ADL, was, despite its far-left orientation, not even invited. So much for “interfaith outreach” in Mamdani’s regime.
Mamdani has since assuming office made not the slightest effort of outreach to the Jews of New York. He’s just as hostile now to them, and to Israel, as he was before being elected. And now he’s done the same with the Catholics in the city, by not showing up at various Catholic functions and, most telling of all, refusing to attend the inauguration of the new archbishop of New York, Ronald Hicks. Mamdani is making more enemies — Jews, Catholics, and who comes next? — across the city, in little more than a month in office, and that, I’m sure you will agree, is a consummation devoutly to be wished.

If I was Catholic, I wouldn’t want the muzzie anywhere near me. As a non-I don’t want the muzzie anywhere near me.
If I attended that church in NYC, I wouldn’t want him even on the sidewalk near it, much less going inside.
The mayor, frey, who was asked by Congress to testify, is skipping that in order to meet the muzzie mayor of NYC. They have a lot in common, evidently.
John McCall says
Somehistory, I gather from your second paragraph that you are a Twin Cities resident?
somehistory says
No, John, I’ve never been there. I might want to visit some day when it’s clear of the evil which lives there now.
John McCall says
Sorry.
When you mentioned Frey I just assumed.
I’m from Montréal but worked in the twin cities for several years back in the 90s.
Great memories taking my wife and kids to Mall of America.
It troubles me that it has gone so far downhill and basically become the Capitol of Somalia.
somehistory says
No need for ‘sorry.’ I saw a report in yesterday’s news that frey was choosing to snub Congress and meet with the muzzie
I’ve seen a lot of pics from the state over the years, but I believe the somalis and those who support their evils, have pretty much ruined things for everyone else.
I’m glad you were able to visit and work before that happened

Actually, if I were Catholic, in a Catholic setting, why would I want any non-Catholics around me then & there? This is consistent w/ my point that houses of worship should be restricted to their adherents/practitioners
Yeah, I’d want a mohammedan even less!

The foolish bishop and his puppet pope will probably take this as a signal to bow before Mamdani and the Muslims.
They must think they haven’t been welcoming enough to conquest.

My state (Florida) has welcomed Jews, Catholics, and Protestants for many decades. While I know that we have some very hateful people as residents, they’re a tiny group.
My recommendation to NYC residents is to reserve a U-Haul for this summer and head south.
somehistory says
Florida is my homestate, too, for many generations; and I hope NYC residents who leave find another destination.
As for that company, they cheated me a couple of years ago, so I would recommend searching out a different one in the event of moving.

somehistory,
I absolutely love your state of Florida.
First visited Fort Lauderdale during college spring break – what a great time!
Later trained at NAS Pensacola / NAS Whiting Field in Milton for US Naval flight surgeon training. And some more time at NAS Jacksonville and NAS Key West.
Even now, when I vacation, I go to Marco Island…

James, I’m glad you love Florida. To me, it’s all special, but the ocean breezes can’t be beat.

Thank you for serving,James. I earned my wings of gold in 1960, retired from USCG in ‘77. Our flight surgeons were the best!

Yes, no U-haul.

We ordered one of their boxes. We paid. We loaded and they were to deliver it Instead they took it to their storage, and charged us a second time to deliver it. Basically, they held it for ransom and then assured us they would “investigate” due to what they had originally said. No refunds.
No u haul.

Florida is lovely. But I don’t want to see all patriotic New Yorkers to surrender their great and beautiful city to Muslim thugs.
Bob says
Mamdani may have a particular animus towards Catholics because of the Crusades, when the church finally endorsed the action of fighting back against the Muslims who had conquered southern Europe and advanced into France. Anyone wishing to get latest historical research on this might want to check out Robert Ibrahim on YouTube. He’s terrific.

Do you mean Raymond Ibrahim? I’ve not heard of Robert.

Westman says
When some of those idealistic lefties, who don’t think they are wealthy, find their taxes become a premium they foolishly voted for, the reality will sink in.
Too many think the Dems are the party of the poor yet there are as many Democrat billionaires as Republican because today’s super-rich come out of technology. And the super-liberal Dems will find that their billionaires are just as resistant and dodgy to exculpatory taxing as conservatives – it’s the middle class Dems of NYC that will get the shafting and become poorer.
Mamdani, Islam, and the leftist Dems all share the same notion of taking from those who don’t share their ideology and giving it to the “more deserving”, that is, funding Dawa, buying voters, keeping Muslimas out of the workforce, supporting intentional non-workers, and subsidizing Healthcare.
Why does Mamdani care about the Catholics when all that charity money came from government? He’ll cut out the middlemen.
When the OPM load dumps on NYC it will be interesting to see the exodus and influx, those fleeing the taxation and those coming for the dole while it lasts.

Oh but the Holy Father says we can get along with the Muslims. I wonder what he’ll say as the war progresses and churches are burned and Priests are beheaded?

Why It Matters That Mamdani Skipped the Installation of the New Archbishop of New York
………………………………………………
Mamdani hates Christians. But I agree with posters above who say that it better not to have this Islamic snake near them.
PATRIOT64 says
It’s better off that he Never went . The man doesn’t like Christians. The Majority of Christians voted for this. Now this stinking Communist is singling destroying NYC and the dippy Governor is helping destroy NYC . Okay NYS it’s time to get rid of the Democrats who are seeking to destroy America.
