Here we go with the “mental illness” business again, which authorities trot out whenever they have to deal with a jihadi and not admit that he is a jihadi. Maybe Safi Dawood really is mentally ill, but if so, that just leads to another question: Why is it Britain’s responsibility to welcome and care for Afghanistan’s mentally ill population?

An Afghan man who allegedly stabbed three people including his landlord while facing eviction may never be fit enough to stand trial for murder, a court heard
Safi Dawood, 22, is accused of murdering council worker Wayne Broadhurst, who was out walking his dog at the time of the assault.
Dawood’s landlord, Shahzad Farrukh and a teenage boy were also hurt in the disturbance.
The Afghan national had been told he had days to leave his annex at Mr Farrukh’s home when he allegedly struck last year.
He is charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder following the brutal triple stabbing in Uxbridge, west London.
Prosecutor Deanna Heer KC told the court the suspect had been assessed by a psychiatrist, who concluded Dawood ‘is not fit to plead or stand trial’ as things stand.
She said: ‘(The psychiatrist) has not in his served report indicated any time frame as to how long the defendant may remain unfit for, if he’s likely to recover, and matters of that nature.
‘So it is not known whether the defendant will at some stage become fit for trial.’
Dawood spoke to confirm his name with the aid of a Pashto translator, while a family member observed via video link….
The court previously heard Mr Broadhurst, 49, was stabbed approximately 14 times….
Dawood is also charged with attempting to murder a 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named and has since been discharged from hospital, and possession of an offensive weapon….
Dawood arrived in the UK in a lorry five years ago and was granted asylum and leave to remain in 2022, according to the Home Office.
The Metropolitan Police said Mr Broadhurst was treated for stab wounds but died at the scene.
It added Dawood and Mr Broadhurst ‘were not known to one another’….

Question: is the guy who is claiming on the murderer’s behalf also a muzzie? Name the doctor; let us know if he is unbiased in his assessment.
Those making these decisions are no good at analyzing, math, stats, …they should bring in some insurance actuary to have a look at the many instances of muzzies committing murder and compare to the general population.
Then, they might be able to put two and two together and not get some number higher than four. They might then realize there is a strong connection between islime and crime.

This would still be a problem, but if I thought this murderer would be committed for life to an asylum where they could not murder more people it would be something. But in a few months he will probably be deemed sane and released to murder more Infidels.

Pretty sure most criminals especially homicidal ones; are not completely sane in general. And most incarcerated individuals for serious crimes are not normal, psychologically healthy people. Considering they were treated or treat others in abusive, toxic violent ways. I’m so over the mental illness argument…Ive been around serious mental illness and even groups of mentally ill people…mostly from a mica shelter experience here in NYC…and those women; and sometimes men presenting as women…were varying stages of complete psychosis at times. And there was a HUGE difference between the ones who were evil and criminal and the others. The ones that came from Rikers; it operated like a halfway house; were criminals, and the gang members. And let me tell you even the stupidest, lowest IQ schizophrenic who talked to themselves 24/7…knew right from wrong. Crazy people know right from wrong. They know not to commit heinous acts against others. Of course eif you are brainwashed by a false death religion that tells you to kill people and you’ll go to heaven …perhaps that’s different I don’t know.

I pause and think about this from a different direction. IF as a person unfit to stand trial, perhaps ever, this person is kept confined presumably until he dies NOT at the hands of an infidel he is fighting, the UK may have a work around for its ridiculous definition of life imprisonment that keeps him neatly sequestered away from those whom he would victimize AND denies him a martyr’s death. (And gives me one heck of a run-on sentence.)

If a person is avoiding a trial due to being mentally unfit for trial then the court should be required to commit the person to a secure mental hygiene institution on a permanent basis for the protection of the community until they are judged to be mentally fit enough to stand trial. If they are never judged to be mentally fit enough to stand trial then they remain in the mental hygiene institution for the rest of their lives and away from society and the community.
