Tucker Carlson’s ‘Fact-Finding’ Trip to Israel Was Full of Lies

Tucker Carlson recently visited Ben Gurion Airport, a visit which Carlson improbably billed as his “fact-finding” trip to Israel. Christian communities all over the region are continuing “to shrink while we here are thriving and increasing in numbers and happily living in Israel,” Khalloul said.

Khalloul’s comments came after Carlson spent only a few hours in Israel on Wednesday for an interview with US Ambassador Mike Huckabee and chose not to leave the Ben Gurion Airport facility before flying out of the country.

Bennett described the polemical commentator’s visit as a staged drive-by meant to give him a basis for future anti-Israel commentary….

In other words, Carlson will now use his three-hour “visit to Israel,” in which he refused to leave the airport, as proof that he went to Israel on a fact-finding mission, where he became a properly-informed expert on the condition of Christians in the Jewish state.

Israel’s Airports Authority also rejected Carlson’s account, saying he and his team were not “detained, delayed, or interrogated” and were only asked “a few routine questions” in a side room inside the VIP lounge “solely to protect their privacy.”

“No unusual incident occurred,” the authority said, adding that it “firmly rejects any other claims.”

Carlson’s airport detention story was “another lie” by “someone who is always inventing stories,” according to Khalloul….

Israeli police did not “detain” Carlson. Nor did the police subject him to special “interrogation.” He was asked the same brief series of questions that everyone entering Israel must answer. His passport was checked just like that of everyone else. Nothing out of the ordinary, though Carlson reported falsely on being subjected to an especially onerous search.

The podcaster’s visit to Israel also differed from his trip to Doha in December, when he interviewed Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and revealed his plans to purchase a home in the country. Qatar has been a long-time backer of the Muslim Brotherhood, including its Palestinian offshoot Hamas, an internationally designated terrorist group….

Qatar is now the chief financial supporter of the terror group Hamas, and the host to Hamas’ senior leadership in Doha, but this unsavory aspect of the natural-gas rich ministate appears not to bother Tucker Carlson. One wonders if the ruling al-Thani family will arrange for Carlson to get a special deal on the luxury home he plans to buy in Doha — say, a below-market price that could save him several million dollars. Qatar would no doubt wish to reward him for his anti-Israel animus. Given that kind of generosity, how likely is it that Tucker Carlson will ever have anything bad to say about Qatar?

In September, for example, the podcaster appeared to blame the Jewish people for the crucifixion of Jesus and suggest Israel was behind the assassination of American conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

The oldest antisemitic charge, which Carlson has recycled, is that “the Jews are Christ-killers,” a charge which ignores the fact that Jesus was condemned to die, and put to death, not by the Jews, but by the Romans who were the Jews’ oppressors and overlords.

As for Carson’s comment on Charlie Kirk, it is preposterous to suggest that Israel was “behind” his assassination. Kirk had been one of the most pro-Israel voices in America, and his death was correctly seen as a blow to the pro-Israel right in America.

There may be something Tucker Carlson has said about Israel before, during, or after his excellent three-hour adventure at Ben Gurion airport, that was not idiotic. If I find it, I’ll be sure to let you know.

    .My real question that goes unanswered is why does America befriend and pretend the Qatar is our friend when clearly they are not? Is it money? Is there something going on we dont know about? It truly baffles me. They are the MB and supporters of Hamas terrorists. Nothing good can come of that for Christians, Jews and the west. To hell with Gutter and Carlson.

  3. His trip to Israel could – and would have – been much more meaningful had he followed the same template as he did in Moscow 2 years ago. Talked to Khalloul and other Israeli Christians, even if he didn’t want to have anything to do w/ the Jooooooooos

    Anyone who knows the first thing about Israel knows the security procedures that one has to go to while entering that country, given how uniquely hated it is globally. Once they find out that the visitor isn’t a rabid Israel hater, they are welcomed in

    I also think that the reason Tucker didn’t go past the airport was that he didn’t want his passport get an Israeli stamp, which it would have gotten had he gone in. Otherwise, had he gotten that stamp, his deals w/ Qatar – including a cushy real estate deal where he probably got a great home at below-market rates would have been voided by the al-Thanis

  4. I used to really enjoy Tucker Carlson’s show . I thought he was a stand up guy . Maybe the best thing FOX News did was get rid of him . He’s a liar and an antisemite. Its sad he went down this road of being bought by terrorists .

Not having read much biblical texts, I still recall –from christian ‘new testament’ that although Yeshua had some upper level heritage [David kin] that his uproar among the common people made him very much ‘unliked” by the Jewish governance aka Saducees and Pharisees, who resorted to complaining to the Roman general in order to get rid of any further rebelliousness among the common classes…

    Don’t you agree, that even today there are Israeli governance factions who’d want Netanyahu eliminated?

  10. Tucker has an excellent point about Israel’s unprecedented, unnatural sway over American politicians’ priorities. Priorities best summed up as ‘Israel first, America citizens second…maybe.’ But he is doing his crusade no good by making out that Hama’s, and Muslim’s in general, are the oppressed, not the oppressors or wannabe oppressors. Get your creds back Tucker, have a two hour interview with a recognized Islam scholar ( if there is such a thing really, how can one be a scholar about thuggery ). Read some those oft highlighted directions in the Qur’an about how a true follower of Allah is to routinely treat women and non-Muslims. Have him explain the peaceful portions of phrases such as “…strike their throats where ever you find them” found in the Qur’an.

    • If Israel had an “unprecedented, unnatural sway over American politicians’ priorities”, then one would have seen the US greenlight Israeli wishes to annex Judea and Samaria, as well as completely wipe out Hamas in Gaza now that the ceasefire has been violated. But contrary to that, the Trump administration has been pretty rigid about preventing either from happening, and the only logical explanation of that is the opposite – Qatar/Turkey first. In fact, even on Iran, the Trump administration cracked down on Israel when it tried to oust the islamic regime at the end of the 12 day war

      None of the people who support Israel in congress are “Israel first”. Some of them may be on the same side as Trump on issues like trade and immigration, while others may be establishment Republicans (although I suspect that those dinosaurs have quietly taken a back seat, despite rumors that the Bushes are trying to win back the party). If anything, the people who do have an informed opposition to muslim immigration to this country are more likely to be pro- rather than anti-Israel

  11. Tucker getting fired at FOX seems to have set him on a revenge mission against FOX and its followers. It would be interesting to know who is picking up his tab and lining his pockets. Hate and Money buy lots of evil thoughts and deeds.

  12. When I want to gain a greater understanding of a country, I always just fly to that country’s airport and spend a few hours there. You know, talk to the locals and get an in-depth understanding of the culture.

    This is a perfect example of Carlson’s ability to think deeply. I don’t mean that facetiously or sarcastically. It really is. This is his best effort.

    Couldn’t Carlson’s stunt with Huckabee have been accomplished on Zoom.

    Carlson is the Reactionary Right’s version of Don Lemon.

    • And now Mr. Huckabee is being criticized for saying Israel belongs to the Jews and they should have all of it.
