Kudos to Brandan Gill. It’s about time.

In late January, the former prime minister of Somalia, Abdiweli Gaas, mocked Trump, saying that Minnesota Somalis should just lay low till a Democrat wins office. He’s right. The Democrats pushed the policy of America last, as they instituted policies that translated into a free-for-all for every enemy to America to come into the country, including Somalis, who ripped off American taxpayers to funnel money to the jihad group Al-Shabaab. The US spent $10 billion and sacrificed 42 American lives trying to help Somalia, and what did America get for it? The discovery that the Minnesota taxpayer had become the largest funder of al-Shabab.

Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) introduced legislation on Tuesday that would set a 25-year moratorium on immigration from Somalia, citing a failure to assimilate in the United States as well as the rampant abuse of federal benefits programs and fraud.

“Mass Somali immigration makes the United States weaker, poorer and erodes social trust,” Gill said in a written statement to Breitbart News about his legislation, the Somalia Immigration Moratorium Act.

“The sole aim of our immigration system is to benefit American citizens, not facilitate mass migration from corrupt, failed societies. The recent fraud scandal in Minnesota highlights the acute dangers of unchecked immigration. A Somalia immigration moratorium puts the American people first, restores our national sovereignty, protects taxpayers and supports public safety.”

Gill introduced his legislation to amend section 212 of the Immigration and Nationality Act to bar immigration relief for certain citizens of Somalia for 25 years, while preserving existing lawful status and American treaty obligations. The legislation would be consistent with President Donald Trump’s Proclamation 10998, Proclamation 10949, and Executive Order 13769. The legislation would codify Trump’s Proclamation 10998….

    why arent they using that?

    online applications should not even exist..there should be no website to obtain any documents pertaining to
    immigration asylum or refugee .. its illegal ..

    obtaining the needed documents online is also illegal

  6. It’s a good idea. Since ilhan elmi, alias (so a crime of illegal entry could be committed) omar, says how wonderful somalia is, none should want to come here, and all here, including the snake, should be ready and beyond willing to go home.
    and no need to limit it to any number of years….just no more muzzies from somalia. Or afghanistan, or pakistan, or……name the 57 varieties

    • This guy is great. Once he builds a a large, undefeatable Congressional coalition of Representatives opposing Sharia and “radical” Islam, as he often says, then it’s just a small step to dropping the politically-correct “radical” modifier altogether and having a Congressional majority, or at least a Republican majority, condemning Islam in its entirety. That will be huge.

      Gill has a big future in politics.
