President Donald Trump on February 19 told the world that the Islamic Republic of Iran has about ten days to make up its mind whether to agree to the American conditions on limiting the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program, or whether it prefers to face America’s military might, that has now been assembled in a “massive armada” close to Iran. More on the Ten-Days warning to Iran from Trump can be found here: “Iran says US risking ‘crisis’ as Trump sets ’10, 15 days’ deadline for deal,” Al Jazeera, February 19, 2026:
…Trump warned on Thursday that Tehran had 10 to 15 days to make a “meaningful deal” with Washington, as he hosted dozens of leaders from around the world for the first official meeting of his newly created Board of Peace in Washington.
“So now we may have to take it a step further, or we may not,” Trump said, again alluding to his threat of military action against Tehran.
“Maybe we’re going to make a deal. You’re going to be finding out over the next probably 10 days.”
Asked later to elaborate, Trump told reporters on board Air Force One: “I would think that would be enough time, 10, 15 days, pretty much, maximum.”
Speaking earlier in Washington, Trump renewed his argument that the joint Israeli-US strikes against Iran in June of last year paved the way to the “ceasefire” in Gaza.
Trump maintained that without the US attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, the “threat” of Iran would have prevented countries in the region from agreeing to “peace in the Middle East”.
‘Otherwise, bad things happen’: Trump
The renewed threats and tension come just days after the US and Iran held a second round of indirect talks, which were largely described in positive terms.
On Wednesday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the two sides made “good progress in the negotiations” in Geneva and “were able to reach broad agreement on a set of guiding principles” for an agreement.
On Thursday, Trump said his diplomatic aides Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have had “very good meetings” with Iran’s representatives.
How “good” could those meetings have been when Iran continues to turn down flat the American demand that Iran halt entirely its nuclear enrichment program, and turn over the 400 kg of uranium it has enriched to a level of 60%, just below weapons-grade, to a third party, such as the IAEA? Nor will Iran agree even to discuss limits on its ballistic missile program and inventory, or its ending support for its remaining proxies, the terror groups Hamas and Hezbollah.
“We have to make a meaningful deal. Otherwise, bad things happen,” he said….
“Bad things happened” to Iran last June, when the Israelis in their 12-Day War, joined by the Americans during one day of that war, managed to set back by several years Iran’s nuclear program, with devastating attacks on the uranium enrichment facilities at Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan. Trump is clear: “bad things” can happen again to Iran if it continues to refuse to “make a deal” with him. The various Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps commanders, including Vice-Admiral Ali Shamkani, who have been claiming that Iran will “destroy” the Americans and “America is finished,” likely leave Trump unimpressed. Khamenei has this week said that “Iran can hit America so hard that it cannot get up again,” and in another threat, declared that Iranian missiles can send American ships to the bottom of the sea. Those remarks do not frighten Trump, but rather, are likely to goad him into action.
Meanwhile, the Starmer government in London has denied the U.S. permission use the UK’s military bases in any strike against Iran. The Americans should not forgive nor forget such an unfriendly act by the UK, in denying the American military use of its air bases in Gloucestershire and on Diego Garcia.
“The Americans constantly say that they’ve sent a warship toward Iran. Of course, a warship is a dangerous piece of military hardware,” Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei wrote on X on Thursday.
“However, more dangerous than that warship is the weapon that can send that warship to the bottom of the sea.”
And how many missiles can the Americans launch against Iran if it dares to strike one of our warships? Has Khamenei forgotten just how effective American missiles and bombs, including bunker busters, were last June, and how ineffective were those missiles launched by Iran?
Meanwhile, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) wrote: “A war with Iran would be catastrophic. Iran is a complex society of 90 million people with significant air defenses and military capabilities. We also have 30-40k U.S. troops in the region who could be at risk of retaliation. Congress must do its job and stop this march to war.”
“A war would be catastrophic”? What can Khanna be thinking? Iranians do not agree. He seems to have forgotten that tens of millions of Iranians — close to 90% of the population according to opinion polls — are hoping Trump will attack, and rid them of the regime that has been tormenting them for the last 47 years. They don’t think such a war would be “catastrophic” but, in fact, a godsend.
Khanna also said thousands of US troops in the region “could be at risk of retaliation.” Does he have such little faith inAmerican defenses? How did the Iranians fare last June when they flung missiles at American and Israeli forces in the region? They launched missiles at American forces stationed at the Al-Udeid airbase in Qatar, and managed not to kill a single serviceman. Why should the Americans be any more fearful now of Iranian attacks, when today the U.S. has at the ready a much greater force, both offensive and defensive, than it did in June? Khanna and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) don’t want the Americans to attack Iran because they think it will help Israel, and both Congressmen have given ample proof of their anti-Israel animus.
The more threats the supreme leader and his IRGC commanders fling at Trump, the more likely he is to take “kinetic” action against Iran. He’s said the Iranians now have ten days to decide if they want a “Deal or No Deal.” That brings us to the end of the month of February or, at the latest, the first week of March. With apologies to the ghost of John Reed, these may be the Ten Days That Could Shake the World.

President Trump interfered in the GAZA war early, didn’t allow Israel time to wipe out Hamas. President Trump knows nothing about Islam, only about negotiating business deals, his narcissistic, arrogance, makes him think, he can negotiate with terrorists of Iran. During the 10-15 days of waiting on evil terrorists in Iran, why can’t he speak up, for Texas, helping them pass a vote on Banning Sharia. His support could push the vote over the finish line. America needs more definition, on Banning Sharia in America but, Trump is totally silent!
John Smith says
Patrick, I disagree with you when you say, “President Trump knows nothing about islam,” he knows exactly what islam is all about. When he was first in office he made it quite clear that muslims were not our friends, he even stated, “that islam hates us.” Then he proposed a muslim ban from many islamic countries, there was also the snake poem. Not to mention his close friendship with Netanyahu, who would have most certainly informed him of the dangers that islam represents.
These days he may well give the impression that he knows nothing about islam, but he does, he’s playing them at their own game and holding his cards close to his chest. Trump is a very shrewd man, you don’t become a billionaire if your an idiot.

Could this be akin to how hostage negotiators keep talking to the bank robber holding account holders and staff, while threatening to murder them all, one by one? Could it be snipers getting in place to …”Mr. Bankrobber felon, can we get you a cup of coffee or a pizza?”…
Every day the same old same old and lots of threatening talk. One cannot deal with a person who lies, lies and lies some more while pretending to talk ‘peace’ and getting along….and that is what those iranian muzzies do. Lie, lie and lie some more, while others are threatening to blow up the world and kill all Americans and Israelis.
“When I speak of peace, they are for war.” (Psalmist)
Walter Sieruk says
That belligerent and hostile Islamic regime of Iran is preparing to for war against what it called “The Great Satan’ meaning the United States likewise it also preparing to attack and if it can destroy what is called “The Little Satan” meaning the State of Israel. Remember two of that tyranny’s slogan are” Death to America” and “Death to Israel.”
In addition, best not to become beguiled by its official representatives with their disingenuous offer to sit down with US officials and a “talks” about nuclear weapons. That it no more than stall tactic for more time to construct and obtain those weapons of mass destruction.
For those malicious dictators of tyrannical Islamic regime of Iran have not really given up on their evil goal enriching uranium for nuclear weapons. This should be of no surprise to any informed person. It still supplies deadly weapons to those murderous jihad entities Hamas and Hezbollah.
Therefore it should be made known that if the founder of the current Islamic tyranny ,Ayatollah Khomeini would still be alive today ,he would spit on those Westerners who say that “Islam is a non-violent religion.”
If Ayatollah Khomeini had clearly announced that “Those who know nothing about Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war….There are hundreds psalms and hadiths urging of Muslims to value war and to fight. …I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim.” [1] So if he was alive today who would spit on those Westerners who say that “Islam is a non-violent religion.” [1]
There are also many places in the Qu ‘ran that instruct in violence and killing for the cause of Islam. As found in ,for example Surah 2:191. 4:89.. 5:33. 9:5, 111,112 ,123. 47:4.
