Sharia gaining ground in the UK: ‘I burnt a Quran. Now I may have to flee Britain.’

It doesn’t, at least in the UK. In shattered, staggering, dhimmi Britain, Islam is beyond criticism, and that will become ever more apparent as the leftists and Sharia-adherent Muslims consolidate their power over that once-free society.

My name is Hamit Coskun and last year I was convicted in a British court of religiously aggravated public order offense. My “crime”? Burning a copy of the Quran outside the Turkish consulate in London. Moments later, I was attacked in full view of the street by a man. I was hospitalized. Then I was arrested and convicted in Westminster Magistrates Court.

I managed to get that conviction overturned, with the help of the Free Speech Union and the National Secular Society, but now the Crown Prosecution Service is appealing my acquittal, with the case being heard tomorrow in the High Court. Now I am in discussions with the White House about claiming asylum in America in case the decision goes against me.

Some may say that book-burning is a poor substitute for reasoned debate. I would counter that it was a symbolic, non-violent form of expression intended to draw attention to the ongoing move from the secularism of my country of birth to a regime that embraces hardline Islam….

Although the man who assaulted me was prosecuted separately, he was spared jail despite shouting “I’m going to kill you” as he attacked me with a knife. The Crown Prosecution Service says his actions helped to prove my guilt. It is arguing that because I was attacked, my behavior cannot have been peaceful. Under this logic, my guilt is proven by how offended or aggressive someone else chose to be in response….

Why did the Magistrates Court reject my stated motive of criticising political Islam, rather than all Muslims? Because the judge accepted the prosecution’s argument that I hadn’t shouted “Erdogan” often enough while the first of two assailants launched an attack outside the consulate. At what point, exactly, would the Crown Prosecution Service have preferred me to launch into an explanation of the slow erosion of Kemalist secularism in the republic founded by Ataturk, in the language of my assailants, which I could not speak? While a second man was chasing me? Spitting at me? Or while he was kicking me as I lay on the ground?…

This is no longer just about me. It is about whether the West still believes that no religion is beyond criticism, especially when it shapes public life and political power. That was the principle I was imprisoned for defending in Turkey and it was the principle I was defending outside the Turkish consulate. I have no intention of abandoning that fight.

    I’ve seen him interviewed before by Apostate Prophet and Hatun. He does not speak English, so instead of the US, he should go to a country where they’d understand his language – like Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan. Once there, leave the attacks on islam to the regimes there: they do a pretty good job of it, and have managed not to become another Afghanistan or Pakistan despite 30+ years since Soviet rule

    • I don’t know about that.

      In the Hanafi school of Islamic law, practiced in Kazakhstan, apostasy is a serious crime against the state and community, punishable by death for men. Male apostates are imprisoned for three days and given an opportunity to repent; if they refuses, they’re executed. Female Apostates are not executed. Instead of death they are beaten until they returns to Islam.

      It does not appear to be the case that he would be safer in Kazakhstan .

    • None of the -stans are islamic, even though their populations are nominally “muslim”. There is a school of thought among muslims in the greater-Russian empire – both outside Russia proper in the -stans, and within Russia’s muslim enclaves – Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Dagestan…. – called Jadidism. It’s the closest thing to the Protestant Reformation in islam, and incorporates a lot of believes that are normally considered heretical in islam. It’s not recognized anywhere outside this region – not Turkey, not Iran, not Afghanistan nor anywhere else, but it is what muslims in the Russian dominions follow

      Under that school of thought, there is no death penalty for apostasy. Of course, none of these countries are libertarian countries, so it’s probably wise not to burn qur’ans. Just ignore them, and the state generally protects you

  4. Burning a book is not a crime unless it belongs to another person and they have not asked that it be burned.
    But, muzzies are making the rules and they find crime in every infidel, just waiting to be punished with severity.
    If one burns their book of demon filth, it means that their fake god was not able to protect it from destruction. Not admitting that fact, they must burn the burner.

  8. First, that this British patriot might have to leave the United Kingdom for burning a Qur ‘an reveals the Muslim stealth jihadists insidious subversive infiltration and influence in the UK.

    Second, Britain belong the British and not to foreign migrants usurpers who want to destroy England common Law and replace it with Islam with its Sharia.

    Third, it’s very understandable that some people are so frustrated by the many horrific disasters caused that they would burn the Qur ‘an.

    Nevertheless, burning the Qur ‘an isn’t the best way to handle the problem of Islam. A much batter, and intelligent way to handle that religious book of Islam and all the deadly violence that it inspires to to study and examine that specific religious book of Islam and then expose the errors and contradictions that it contains.

    This has actually already been done, For example, on pages 145 through 157 in THE ISLAMIC INVASION by Robert Morey in which he wrote a section on the Qur’ an with its self-contradictions. Just two of the many he cited are the following “The Qur ‘an differs on whether a day is a thousand years or fifty thousand years in God’s sight’ and “Who was first to believe? Abraham or Moses [Sura 6:14 versus 7:143]? The above is inconsistent and illogical. Further, Morey wrote about “The fact that Judaism and Christianity broke up into different sects was used in the Qu ‘ran to prove that they are not of God [Suras 30:20-32. 42:13, 14]. Yet Islam has broken up into many warring sects and therefore cannot be true if the Qur ‘an is right.”

    Moreover, Morey in his book shows many more contradictions and absurdities in the Qur ‘an, there are and how Muhammad incorporated extra Biblical and Jewish folklore along with pre-Islamic Arabian myth and parts of Zoroastrian and Hindu stories into the Quran.

    In addition the Muslims claim that “the Quran is the direct, literal word of God unmodified in any way by the Prophet who uttered them at the bidding of God.” Therefore, in the book UNVEILING ISLAM by Ergun Mehmet Caner and Eethi Caner has shown that the Quran was modified in the following account on pages 45. “Muhammad felt the need to improve on the words of Allah, since he changed Allah’s wisdom for his own on several occasions. A hadith tells of the nonchalant emendations of Muhammad:’ On a number of occasions he [a scribe] had, with the Prophet’s consent changed the closing words of verses. For example, when the prophet had said ‘God is mighty and wise ‘ Adbollah b. Abi Sarh suggested writing down ‘Knowing and wise’ and the Prophet answered that there was no objection. Having observed a succession of changes of this type, Adbollah renounced Islam on the grounds that revelations, if from God could not be changed at the prompting of a scribe such as himself. After his apostasy he went to Mecca and joined the Qorayshites.’ Other writers reveal that later Muhammad and his people did go war with the Qorayshites and he personally killed Abdollah. Obviously Abdollah knew too much and Muhammad wanted Abdollah’s knowledge to die with him.”

    In conclusion, the Qu ‘ran is not only a fiction, it’s also a hoax.

    Even though the above essay was posted before, it should now be added that the last statement of the above that “the Qu ‘ran is not only a fiction, it’s also a hoax.” To put this in a Biblical way. As in from the Bible, it may be truly explained that the Qu ‘ran is a deceptive work of “the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.” Ephesians 14:12.. [N.I.V.]

  9. First, this terrible treatment of the British patriot, Hamite Coskun for burning a Qur’an reveals that the Western value of “Freedom of speech” Is no longer allowed in the United Kingdom.

    Second, this exposes that the non—Muslim government authorities who are still in power in the UK have taken the practice of “Walking on eggshells” to not offend the Muslims who are living in England, For the non- Muslim British are weak for they are afraid of Muslim outrage and riots as well as other forms of Muslims mayhem in Britain. That is terrible, because such violent lawless chaos should not be tolerated in any Western nation.

    Third, that Coskun feels that he as to “flee Britain” is evidence enough that there is an insidious movement for Islamic power in England for advancement of Sharia in the UK,

The not so tough guy Starmer says, “We must build our hard power, because that is the currency of the age. We must be able to deter aggression. And yes, if necessary, we must be ready to fight.” The British defense minister says the military is not ready to fight. But that dont matter because the UK government couldn’t fight their way out of a paper sack (or the Sharia encroachment). The UK leadership is nothing more that one big clown show circle jerk.

  12. It’s refreshing to see someone with a spine and an opposing viewpoint, rather than cower to bullies through endless appeasement. We need more people like this. Otherwise, what’s next? Why can’t we have dialogue and simply agree to disagree? Where is the diversity in viewpoints? Shutting down discussion only leads to a dangerous kind of ignorance, and it creates a double standard — almost a two‑tier system.

    • Jihad watch is not even talking about the Muslim eavesdroppers in UK at a church. They overheard some bible verses mentioning donkeys and then a few words about Mohamed, the Muslims then called the police to arrest the preacher and the congregation on hate crimes.

      I saw it yesterday the video itself the congregation recorded of the police and the Muslims demanding arrests.

      • Hey chevelle, I saw that the other day. There is additional research done by content creators in the UK. The migrant running his pie hole in that video spent two years in prison for SA, R, and prosti of 4 separate girls aged 11-15

        He has some nerve to be the sharia police. They even said “this is an Islamic area” in the full video.

        They basically want sharia law, and they are testing the system to see if they can impose it, and move the goal post on us.

  16. I read this crap going on every day around the world, and I wonder why we have a billion dollar race to get into space. Hell we can’t even take care of the planet we are on. Without equal law and order for all society has nothing but chaos.
