It’s a positive sign, and a long overdue one, that the House is taking up this issue.

FIRST ON THE DAILY SIGNAL—The House Judiciary Committee Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government will hold a hearing on Feb. 10 to uncover how Sharia law is “contrary to America’s founding principles” and “may violate federal law and the Constitution,” The Daily Signal has learned.

At the hearing, titled “Sharia-Free America: Why Political Islam & Sharia Law are Incompatible with the U.S. Constitution,” witnesses and members will discuss “where, why, and how Islamic extremists are attempting to establish Sharia-based institutions in the U.S.,” a statement provided to The Daily Signal claimed.

Additionally, the hearing will discuss current proposed legislative reforms that would protect Americans from efforts to establish alternative, Sharia-based institutions.

“Most Americans are completely unaware that Sharia law is insidiously trying to take over our communities and undermine our Constitution and way of life,” subcommittee Chairman Chip Roy, R-Texas, told The Daily Signal. “In my home state of Texas, Dallas has become ground zero for the Islamification of America, and there are more mosques being built in Texas than in any other state in the union.”

“If we are not careful, America will fall just like what we’re seeing happen in London or Paris,” Roy added. “This hearing, which I am proud to lead, is an important first step in sounding the alarm to the American people about the threat Sharia law poses to America.”

With Islamic Law(Shariah), supremacist Islam and its Muslims seek ultimate power and control over Non-Muslims via LEGAL discrimination, segregation, violence, and terrorism as taught in Islam’s Qur’an. Allah in Qur’an 8:39 says, “And engage in war with them[Non-Muslims] until there will not be sedition and the religion will be completely to Allah…”

  2. It is not just “extreme” muslims that want to establish sharia law as the law of the land. This is normal Islam. All Muslims everywhere are expected to work to spread Islam so there is no other religion, and to and implement sharia law to enforce Islam. Both Sunni and Shiite agree on this.

  3. To state the obvious, it’s better late than never. The jihadists are more aggressive in communities I’ve lived in (Texas, Florida) than many other venues – so far.

    And yes, Islam is counting on a ton of Americans still not figuring this out—and not only the eternally clueless editors of The New York Times but ALSO those of supposedly conservative and sapient publications like the editors of The Wall Street Journal.

    • Are they “clueless” or for sale? I’ve see stories that said Bill Gates give the NYT between $20 million and $40 million per year for positive coverage. If he is openly doing this, then other media outlets are for sale as well, and Gates isn’t the only patron. I could see some oil-rich Muslim entity giving the NYT enough money to cover Islam in a positive light.

        I do think that the least they can do is in committee sabotage any moves the government makes that strengthens our relationships w/ rogue countries like Turkey, Qatar, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Even if it means tactical coalitions w/ Dems purely interested in denying the GOP victories. The more they grow, the more compelled POTUS candidates will feel to accommodate their agenda on the platform

  8. I don’t believe Robert Spencer has ever referenced ‘sharia law’; using instead sharia: Islamic law I believe.

    Kudos to the politicians involved in this, but they really should watch a few Gad Saad videos.

    • “Sharia law” is technically redundant–but in some cases it makes sense to cite it, because not everyone understands what it is.

That night I went on my computer and started reading about islam. I have read many books and articles. It amazes me how many people have not read any thing.     Likewise., Americans should be aware of those stealth jihad- minded Muslims who are living in the United States ,and attempt to have Sharia law enacted in this country.     Furthermore, those stealth jihadists with their goal the furtherance of Sharia in the United States. one misconception that many Americans have is that of the tern used in the West, which is “political Islam.” That term is nonsensical and redundant as well as unknown in the Islamic world.

    • Thanks. Many good points. Most people don’t understand that the majority of Muslims can’t read the Quran because it is written in HIGH Arabic. As 2 Muslims men that came to our Church as converts to Christianity, They said that they all speak their own language but the memorized the Quran in Arabic. When I asked them if they understood the words they memorized, they basically said no.

There is the sly and subtle as well as disingenuous non-violent methods of the goal of advancement of Islam with its Sharia in the United States by the means what is known and called the “Stealth jihad.” By this technique the Muslims who are the stealth jihadists are able to infiltrate the United States, and gradually, “inch by inch” and likewise “step by step.” To further, archive progression for their Islamic agenda for the advancement of Islam and to establish Sharia in the United States in place of the US Constitution.

    To put this in another way, with America they would like to, if they can, enact Sharia as the law land instead of the US Constitution. Realistic or not, this is their objective.

    Let’s say the U.S. government can ban Sharia. They will think they’ve prevented “Political” Islam from taking over. As if the only part of Islam that is a threat is Sharia.

    Sharia is the most obvious but – if you let ANY part of Islam in you will get ALL of Islam.

    Because, in Islam, there is no separation between Mosque and State.
    If you have ever seen an octopus squeeze through a very small opening you have a good visual of Islam gaining entry into a country.

    First: “Moderate”Muslims, who will claim they don’t want Sharia, they just want to practice the religious part of Islam, are allowed to immigrate in. Those Muslims bring with them their “Backpack of Bad Ideas”, contained in their Quran, Hadith and Sunna.

    Second: These “Moderate” Muslims, for some unknown reason, (Middle Eastern countries petrocurrencies via the Muslim Brotherhood) have the money to build Islamic Fortresses known as Mosques/Islamic Schools and Centers. Here the contents of the “Backpack of Bad Ideas can be passed down through preaching and study. Including Sharia. How is the U.S. government to stop this? Spy on religious services?

    Third:: “Moderate” Muslims practice Election Jihad.o show what solid Americans they really are. They join every local, state and federal organization/board they can find. They run for any and all offices.

    Fourth: “Moderate” Muslims practice Birthrate Jihad. They outbreed all other people. And if they can’t afford all those children, well there’s always the Kafir”s Welfare Benefits (Jizya). According to the Quran Kafirs owe Jizya to Muslims anyway, even without Sharia.

    Fifth: The children of the “Moderate” Muslims, having grown up in the petrocurrency Islamic Schools, and having read all the Islamic doctrines about Jihad and Martyrdom look at their “Moderate”parents as being hopelessly corrupted by the Infidels. Islam is clearly in need of reform to bring it back to what the Islamic texts say it should be. Including Sharia.

    And now there are millions of these second generation Islamists many of whom are not “Moderate”. They want to practice their complete way of life, religious and political, as it is laid out in their”Backpack of Bad Ideas” given to them in the Quran, the Hadith and Sharia. Their texts that tell them that “Islam Is The State”.

    Good luck surveilling, policing and adjudicating your way out of Islam.

    The problem of Islam invading and conquering your country has not changed in 1400 years. The solution to Islam being expelled from your country has not changed since Charles Martel in France and the Spanish Reconquista.

    The only way to avoid the catastrophe of an Islamic State is to ban the Rule of Islam at your borders like Poland and Hungary.

    • Read some books by Muslim Women. It is not just about a religion but the culture. Nonie Darwish, Waft Sultan and Ayaan Hisi Ali. for staters.

  19. Years ago in Tampa Florida the courts allowed sharia law in a divorce case. This is stealth jihad .

    Now in NYC they have sharia police they call Muslim community officers.

    This is how they started in Europe. And Europe has surrendered and is more Islamic nations now
