First, the dramatis personae: Collectif Némésis is a feminist collective of the right that opposes Muslim migration and supports the National Rally Party. Opposed to it is Jeune Garde, a far-left group, connected to the pro-migrant pro-Palestinian anti-Israel party, La France Insoumise, headed by the Communist Jean-Luc Mélenchon.
Second, the place: just outside a conference hall in Lyon, where Rima Hassan, a far-left politician of Palestinian Arab descent, and a member of the European Parliament (MEP), was due to deliver her usual over-the-top diatribe against Israel, that colonial-setter apartheid genocidal state that is, as Francesca Albanese says and Rima Hassan agrees, is the “common enemy” of mankind.
And here is what happened when the thugs from Jeune Garde attacked members of Nemesis’ security team: “Antifa attack leaves young security guard brain dead while protecting female right-wing activists in Lyon,” Remix News, February 13, 2026:
A security guard accompanying female activists from the right-wing feminist group Collectif Némésis has been left brain-dead after violent clashes in Lyon linked to protests surrounding an appearance by La France Insoumise MEP Rima Hassan, according to the group, as prosecutors opened an investigation into aggravated assaul
The Lyon prosecutor’s office confirmed Friday that an investigation had been launched immediately following the events.
“At this stage, the context and circumstances of these events must be determined,” judicial authorities said.
Hassan had been invited to speak on Thursday evening at the Institute of Political Studies during a conference titled “Relations between the European Union and European Governments in the Context of the Middle East Conflict.” Students reportedly greeted the French-Palestinian MEP with a standing ovation inside the venue.
Outside, activists from the Collectif Némésis collective gathered to protest Hassan’s visit. According to security sources cited by ActuLyon, tensions escalated around 6:30 p.m. when another group confronted demonstrators, leading to clashes. Videos shared online show chaotic scenes, including attempts to seize banners and at least one woman being knocked to the ground.
According to Collectif Némésis leader Alice Cordier, members of the group’s security detail were then attacked.
“A member of our security is between life and death after the Lyon action. He was lynched by the Jeune Garde Antifa,” Cordier wrote on social media.
“The anti-fascists knocked him to the ground and beat him, leaving him for dead in the street. Quentin was swept to the ground, his head struck the pavement, and he was then lynched with kicks,” a statement from the organization read.
“His attackers were masked, armed with reinforced gloves and tear gas, leaving little doubt about the premeditated nature of their attack,” it added….
Jeune Garde calls itself an “Antifa” group, but it is the street-fighting bullyboys of Jeune Garde who are the true fascists. The “Antifa” groups are the ones that waylay and beat up people who are quietly demonstrating in favor of Israel and against Hamas, or who appear to violently disrupt political rallies in support of the National Rally, the anti-immigrant party that Jordan Bardella and Marine Le Pen now lead.
These are the Stormtroopers of today, the shock troops of the Left-Muslim, or Red-Green Alliance. And now some of those anti-fascist fascists, in Lyon, France, will have to answer for the fact that they just beat a young man until he was brain dead, and likely to die.

Never liked the term ‘brain dead” as it seems to imply that one can keep breathing, keep a beating heart and other bodily functions while the brain, which directs and controls these, is dead.
I hope and pray this young man recovers and that the murderous thugs face some justice.
Later, they will “reap” abundantly.
Andra says
He has not recovered but died.
somehistory says
I’m sorry. Thank you, Andra. Now the murderers should be charged with intentional homicide. They should be facing death.
Andra says
In France there is a long since moratorium on death penalty.
In the Europe of the past I belueved that is alright. Although eben then there existed traitors you would habe preferred for death penalty.
But today there are so many murderers that you’d wish the moratorium to be stoppen. Or here in Germany death penalty is abolished, but more and more people wish it to be restored.
somehistory says
I didn’t think they would be facing death, but they **should** be.
The Supreme God of the universe will make sure of *real* Judgment when He sees the time is right.. These murderous thugs will not escape.

Anybody who calls themselves “Antifa” are fascists. Their intolerance for opinions peacefully differing from theirs is no different from the Brownshirts back in the day. Nowadays, this is too common in the tech space, particularly in the Free Open Source movement, but also in companies like Microsoft and to a lesser extent, Google, Apple, Amazon
Besides, there are just degrees of difference b/w their actual beliefs – state dictating private enterprises what to produce – from communism – state controlling all means of production. So once you said that Jeune Garde calls itself an “Antifa” group, that told me everything: you didn’t need to elaborate much further

“Anybody who calls themselves “Antifa” are fascists.”
Yes, and it’s the epitome of “gaslighting”.

Quentin, the 23-year-old acting as an unarmed security guard who died from his wounds, had recently been baptized in the traditional Catholic rite. May he rest in peace.
Mike GA says
Quentin was not a security guard.
Marie Ruiz says
AFP reporting states that Quentin Deranque “had been providing security at a protest” against the appearance of MEP Rima Hassan when he was attacked.
Another report notes that several men, including Quentin, were acting as informal security for the Némésis collective during the demonstration.
Quentin was not a professional security guard, but he was acting in a security role for the group he was with at the protest. This is consistent across the major reports currently available.
Mike GA says
The phrase “Security guard” makes it sound like that was his job. Its’ not.

In France, A Far-Left ‘Antifa’ Group Leaves a Security Guard Brain-Dead
……………………………………………….
Just horrifying–this poor young man. And he was killed providing security against an anti-Jihad demonstration.
