The STOP FGM Act of 2020 strengthened a 1995 original law. The revamped law increased the maximum jail sentence to up to 10 years. Yet as the report points out below, there have been no prosecutions in the high Somali-populated Minnesota. This proves that a two-tier legal system is still operational in America; it must be stopped. No region anywhere in the U.S. should reflect Islamic norms, despite high Muslim populations in some areas and fierce efforts to expand the hegemony of the Sharia — while leftist crazies either deny the nature of Sharia or aid its expansion.
In Somalia, 99 percent of women between 15 and 49 years have undergone FGM. And yes, it is Islamic.

What really bad is when the girls are sewn up to leave only an opening to urinate and have menses flow, the wedding night is a nightmare because the girls cannot see a doctor to open up the vaginal area, the husband will believe she has been unfaithful, so you get the idea.

I see this mutilation as the first conditioning of a Muslim female to the community and male domination over her body, an injection of fear and pain to cement her self-envisionment to that of a dominated servant.
That was the intent of it (FGM) from the beginning and though it may have evolved into a traditional rite, it still acheives its purpose. It is not “female circumcision”! It is applied at an age of full awareness of family, community relationships, and language. The parents abrogate their responsibility to protect the young girl, giving into domination by the community and religion – the message to the mutilated girl, likely cheated of a natural function and given gratuitous pain by those she once trusted is, SUBMIT!!

How much FGM is practiced in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, etc? Graphs could be produced plotting FGM rates vs economy or other measures of national progress and they would leave no doubt which are most backwards in their thinking.
How Feminists can defend Islam and its abysmal treatment of women only indicates ignorance, stupidity, or, a hidden desire to be dominated.

Islam may have made a fatal mistake in coming to the West. I think the core reason Muslim men remain in unassimilated areas in the West is to ensure the women have no opportunity leave Islam for a more free, self-directed life. They fear, correctly, that the women will reject Islamic men for a better status if given the opportunity. Even plotting Ilhan Omar is evidence.
Christian churches could fund shelters for young girls coupled with other institutions to provide a pathway out of future forced or unwanted marriages. There are already shelters for abused women but they provide no path for integration into a new society and are often operated by leftists, living on unstable foundations, who want recruits.
I think the time will come when even our more-aware Feminists will reject Islam and unassimilated Muslim men.
