France, Italy, and Austria Demand That Pro-Hamas UN Official Francesca Albanese Resign

Will wonders never cease? It started when the French Foreign Minister, Jean-Noël Barrot, has demanded that Francesca Albanese, the Wicked Witch of the East River, the hideous harridan, the sinister grimalkin, resign from her post as the UN’s “Special Rapporteur for Conditions in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.” Now Italy and Austria have echoed this demand. France, Italy, and Austria called out UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese in recent days for making comments accused of being antisemitic.

Albanese’s antisemitic remarks at Saturday’s Al Jazeera Forum, where she spoke alongside a “representative of Hamas and a representative of the Iranian government while the repression continues.”

Vice President of the Council of Ministers of Italy, Antonio Tajani, announced on X/Twitter on Thursday that Albanese’s comments do not reflect the Italian government’s position.

“Her behaviors, statements, and initiatives are not appropriate for the position she holds within a body of peace and guarantee such as the United Nations,” he wrote….

Albanese, appearing at the same conference as Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, spoke during the panel “The Palestinian Cause in a World Moving Toward Multipolarity.”

During the panel, she condemned countries for maintaining relationships and arms trade with the Jewish state and alleged global inaction during the two-year Israel-Hamas War.

What “global inaction” is Albanese talking about? What about all the General Assembly resolutions condemning Israel for defending itself against the terrorists of Hamas? Haven’t more resolutions been passed against Israel than against the other 192 member states put together? What about the dozens of NGOs denouncing the Jewish state for supposedly denying humanitarian aid to the people in Gaza? The International Court of Justice (ICJ) determining in 2025 that Israel’s presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory [sic] is “unlawful,” and ordering an end to settlement activities in Judea and Samaria, and affirming Israel’s status as an “occupying power” [sic] in Gaza. What about the International Criminal Court (ICC) issuing warrants for the arrests of both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant? The “global inaction” of hundreds of thousands of people turning out in cities, all over the world, week after week, to denounce the Jewish state for its supposed “genocide” in Gaza? No country in recent history has had such malevolent attention paid to it, so many curses rained down upon it. Yet Albanese wants us to believe that Israel is getting away with murder.

The demand from France, Italy and Austria that Albanese should resign will, I hope, be followed by a chorus of demands that since she will refuse to resign, she must be fired. And if she isn’t? Then the Americans should halt entirely their contributions to the UN.

Albanese is a deep-dyed antisemite, preposterously calling the Jewish state guilty of “genocide” and declaring Israel to be the “common enemy” of all mankind. And what do you do to a state that is the “common enemy” of all mankind? Why, you do your damndest to destroy it, to remove it from the face of the earth, and with it, all of its Jewish inhabitants.

Her genocidal venom was too much for the French, Italians and Austrians. It ought to have been too much for everyone else in the West as well. We’ll wait to see if there will be a deluge of similar calls for Albanese to resign, or be fired, by the UN’s Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, and by the UK, Germany, Italy and, especially, from Secretary of State Mario Rubio.
