In Europe, where 47 million Muslims now live, more and more businesses are demonstrating their respect for Islam, hoping their sensitivity to Muslim needs will turn some — many — of those Muslims into satisfied customers.
The latest tale of Islamopandering comes from Germany, where all McDonald’s stores have chosen to observe Ramadan by taking the food out of its advertising. As they used to say, it’s just the sizzle without the steak. No burgers, no fries, no special sauce. Nothing to see but an empty paper container. McDonald’s in Germany is advertising burgers without the burgers during Ramadan. During daylight fasting hours, the company’s digital screens show only empty packaging, with the food reappearing at sunset for iftar, the fast-breaking meal.
“A simple idea,” says marketing newspaper afaqs, “that respected the moment.”
Commentator Vicky Richter jibed in response that “just when you thought Germany had exhausted every creative way to prostrate itself before ‘cultural sensitivity,’ McDonald’s arrives to prove there is always a lower floor,” adding: “Welcome to Islamic Capitalism™.”…
McDonald’s was determined to show its sensitivity to Muslims during “the holy month of Ramadan.” Apparently McDonald’s advertising staff thought the mere appearance on a digital screen of a hamburger was likely to be agonizing for Muslims who were trying desperately to avoid eating from dawn to dusk, and thus needing to be protected from possibly catching a glimpse of an offending burger and some enticing fries. But any Muslims who observe Ramadan are not going to be going into a McDonald’s from dawn to dusk during that month, so why should McDonald’s worry over a nonexistent threat to the mental well-being of Muslims who won’t be seeing any advertisement for those dangerous burgers and those sinister fries?
McDonald’s in Germany is going above and beyond any need to placate Muslims during Ramadan. What is next? Will McDonald’s run during Ramadan its new, food-less ads on city buses? In subway cars? On television?
McDonald’s has now opened itself to ridicule for its obvious and clumsy attempt to win Muslim favor. And at the same time, non-Muslims will take a look at those McDonald’s ads during Ramadan showing only cardboard containers but no food, be disgusted at the obvious pandering, and take their custom elsewhere. I live thousands of miles from Germany, but in a spirit of solidarity with the non-Muslims in Germany forced to endure this kind of thing, I will no longer be buying food from McDonald’s. Panera, here I come.

Just more cowardly corporate executives carrying on with the tradition of, “Securing maximum return to shareholders without regard to its effects upon a nations citizens”. Germans get the message, “fear Islam” and jihadists see, “We’ve got them on the run, Allahu ——!”
It must be true that micro-plastics have lowered boardroom testosterone levels to such paucity that would-be jihadists are thinking about Germans, “Where’s the beef?”

Well said, Westman. Through shockingly poor political leadership, Germany has descended into a cowardly, surrendered, society. As to MacDonald, they have seen the last of me. I prefer Burger King whopper hamburgers anyway; bigger patties, more dressing, better flavour.

Islam, its Organizations, its Mosques, its Schools, etc. must be banned as illegal for their funding, teaching, inciting, and promoting acts of discrimination, segregation, violence, and terrorism against Non-Muslims as taught in Islam’s Qur’an.
Muslims make false claims and deceitful exaggerations, breed a grievance mentality, and aggravate divisions among people in a manner that allows for justification of terroristic violence(Qur’an 3:28,54; 7:99; 8:30, etc.). Allah in Qur’an 49:15 says, “Surely the believers[Muslims] are only those who believed in Allah and his messenger. They do not doubt, and they performed jihad with their MONEY and their LIVES for the sake of Allah. Those are the truthful.” As a result, Non-Muslims are marked for death by Islam and its Muslims.
Allah describes Muslim women in Jenna, Allah’s Paradise, as whores of Allah in Qur’an 56:37. Also, Allah stirs hatred, cursing, and punishment against Christians until the resurrection day when Qur’an 5:14 instructs, “And some of those who say, ‘Surely we are Nasara (Christians),’ we took their covenant. So they have forgotten a part of what they were reminded of, so we have stirred up ENMITY and HATRED among them until the resurrection day. And Allah will inform them of what they were doing.” See also Qur’an 2:225; 5:64; 60:4; 8:55.
Allah demands extortion payments, ‘Jizyah’, from Non-Muslims to humiliate them and make Islam supreme. Allah in Qur’an 9:29 commands, “Engage in war with those who do not believe in Allah nor in the last day. Nor forbid what Allah and his messenger forbid, nor believe in the religion of the truth among those who have given the book until they pay the jizyah out of hand and they are subdued.”
Allah teaches and promotes discrimination when Qur’an 4:101 says, “…Surely the infidels(Non-Muslims) were your clear enemies.” Allah disrespects and detests Jews and Christians for not being Muslims by teaching discrimination and segregation. So, Allah’s apostle in Sahih Muslim 26:5389 says, “Do not greet the Jews and the Christians before they greet you and when you meet any one of them on the roads force him to the narrowest part of it[where excrement and trash flow].”
MUSLIM BELIEVERS are a greater TERROR than Allah while undermining a society from within using the man-made book of lies and deceit, the Qur’an. Allah in Qur’an 59:13 says, “You[Muslims] are a greater terror in their chests than Allah. This is because they[Jews & Christians] are people who do not understand.” Islam must be banned as illegal, and we have the legal right to defend ourselves from Muslim attacks and violence.

Pretty stupid given that McDonalds food is not halal, from what I understand, so even during the rest of the year, most muslims typically won’t go there. Why try to attract a customer base that has a religious obligation not to eat at your restaurant? I just checked, and while there are McD’s in Britain and France that are halal, there are none in Deutschland to date
I do see some worrying signs, though. A few months ago, I was in Holland and went to a McD’s there, and wanted to add bacon to my chicken sandwich. That option just wasn’t there. I hope that it wasn’t out of any “respect” for muslim sentiments, but doubt it!

I must confess to having had a few eggmcmuffins in my time when breakfast alternatives were not available. but otherwise have never touched their stuff. Plus I find their mayonnaise dripping ads on TV highly obnoxious. I hate mayonnaise. Curious why a brand that has conquered the world needs to advertise at all.
