World Economic Forum uninvites Islamic Republic of Iran’s foreign minister after major backlash

According to Fox News,  the Iran watchdog group United Against Nuclear Iran sent a letter to the World Economic Forum, “urging the group not to invite any officials from the Islamic Republic of Iran” to its annual meeting in Davos. Nevertheless, “the forum added an interview with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to the summit’s schedule.”

A backlash swiftly erupted:

The World Economic Forum (WEF) has uninvited Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi from its annual meeting in Davos.

Today, the WEF posted on its official X account that “The Iranian foreign minister will not be attending Davos.

“Although he was invited last fall, the tragic loss of lives of civilians in Iran over the past few weeks means that it is not right for the Iranian Government to be represented at Davos this year.”

The WEF also deleted an information page for a public talk event with Araghchi under the theme “How can we co-operate in a more contested world?”

Revelations yesterday that Araghchi would be attending the WEF – and had been invited on stage – had caused an outburst of criticism of the Geneva-based organisation…

Public pressure sometimes works even with leftist bureaucrats and globalists.

  1. Like I mentioned in the Anni Cyrus thread, this is a result – intended or unintended – of US delays/denial of intervening in Iran. People got bored after we did nothing, and now turned their attention to Iran, where they saw everything that was happening both there, and in the Iranian diaspora in Europe. End result: they started coming down on the islamic regime, and in this case, have uninvited Abbas Araghchi. On Tousi TV, Mahyar Tousi speculated that Araghchi was trying to make plans on where and how to escape, and ended up not being able to go there

    Already the US and Britain have said that islamic regime members are not welcome here or there. More countries in Europe should follow suit, and Russia too: even Moscow has no reason to shelter members of a regime that were not their stooge, unlike the Ba’athists in Syria. If Khamenei and his henchmen want to flee, let them try Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan or Iraq

  2. Thins invitation strongly indicated that the World Economic Form by the stealth jihadist of Iran. Likewise, this also indicates that the influence of ideology of the ed/ Green Alliance might have had infected the World Economic Form.

    In addition, regarding one of the many different aspects of that Communist /Islamic alliance, which is known as the Red/ Green alliance.

    As the newspaper The Epic Times 1/13/26, A19 revealed about Communist regimes under such call people who are “Pointing injustices are labeled ”inciting subversion of state power.” Likewise, in the oppressive tyrannical Islamic regime the people are protesting the many injustice committed by that “mullah tyranny” are have similar accusations charged against them.”

    The article further reads ”What is dangerous for the Communists is when people start telling the truth.” Likewise, it may be truly said, “What is dangerous for those tyrants in power in the Islamic regime is when people start telling the truth. “

    Furthermore, both regimes and that Islamic regime of Iran are actually murderous death machines .
    Other similarities are able to be made between Communist dictators and those Islamic despots of Iran, but that doesn’t seem necessary because the point should be clear and obvious.
