It would be interesting to know why the jurors felt free to disregard the judge’s directions so flagrantly. Could it possibly be that they knew that the elites in shattered, staggering, dhimmi Britain want to sweep such cases under the rug and thereby avoid enraging the nation’s growing and restive Muslim community, and so wouldn’t mind a bit of juror misconduct that ruined the case? The trial of an alleged grooming gang collapsed in December over a WhatsApp group set up by a number of jurors.
The jury at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court was hearing the case of six men accused of rape and other sexual offences against two teenage schoolgirls in Rochdale between 2003 and 2006.
Two months into the trial, which began in October 2025, one of the 12 jurors reported to court officials that several members of the jury had been messaging each other about a documentary about grooming gangs.
An investigation was launched and the entirety of the WhatsApp communications was examined by Judge Matthew Corbett-Jones.
In one chat exchange, a member of the group warned some of the others that viewing the broadcast was contrary to the judge’s directions, but one responded: “I’m going to watch it anyway,” followed by a smiley emoji, the court heard.
Another juror was also said to have messaged they too would watch the broadcast.
A new trial date has been set for August 2026….
Tahir Rashid, 54, from Rochdale; Mohammed Saleem, 46, from Rochdale; Iftaq Hussain, 45, of Shawforth; and Sucklane Shah, 46, of no fixed abode, all deny rape.
Arshad Mohammed, 55, of Rochdale, denies rape and assault by penetration, while Amjad Mahmood, 53, of Rochdale, denies rape, indecent assault, indecency with a child and assault by penetration.
Rashid has also pleaded not guilty to the rape of another young girl in the late 1980s.

I’m thought the UK jailed people for collapsing a trial.
When Tommy Robinson, from a distance and on public property, asked a minor question or two of ALREADY CONVICTED – the trial was over and the verdict had been rendered – muslim gang rapists, the UK couldn’t space rocket Tommy fast enough into a courtroom and immediately off to a long prison sentence in a muslim-jammed high security prison; in solitary confinement, no less. It took 2-3 hours for them to fabricate charges, try him without an attorney, and send him off, they clearly hoped, to die. He did, in fact, look like a death camp prisoner upon release. Since muslims control UK prison food services, Tommy survived on one can of tuna and one orange per day from concessions; the prison would not allow him to access more of his own money than that.
They then had an army of idiots breathlessly, ad nauseum, claim, “He almost collapsed a trial!!!”
I guess it’s just Tommy Robinson who gets this treatment. Imagine that.

I must add that he had become emaciated after only a short stretch of the term to which he’d been sentenced. Trump intervened and probably saved his life. They admitted the process was illegal and fraudulent, then retried and resentenced him anyway, at a later date.

I completely agree with your suspicions of jury nullification, and I think this may be only the beginning.
The demographics in the cities where these horrific crimes took place are such that it would seem inevitable that Muslim or other non-British interlopers, along with their British Marxist allies, would have every motive and opportunity necessary to do this across the board to yet again “rub the Right’s nose in diversity” in the most savage and anti-British way possible.

On this basis offences committed today will be heard in 2046. Talk about the trail going cold.
There is much to be said for scrapping the investigation of historic cases and spending police hours on securing the safety of our streets today and protecting women and girls NOW.
Justice should have been done years ago but wasn’t.
