New in PJ Media:
The increasingly loopy Tucker Carlson doesn’t come out and say what he is getting at, but it’s clear enough anyway. He platformed and lavishly praised a historian who repeated National Socialist talking points about World War II and claimed that the Holocaust was simply an accidental result of insufficient planning for the brutal Russian winter. He claimed that “hummus eaters” put Jesus Christ to death, and insinuated that they were behind the murder of Charlie Kirk as well. And now he knows, or claims to know, who is really responsible for the worldwide Islamic jihad against America and its allies. That’s right: it’s all the Jews’ fault.
In his latest newsletter, Tucker mocks what he calls the “fiction that Iran is somehow a threat to the United States.” He is ready with the good news, he says flatly: “It is not.” Well, that’s a relief! Anticipating the most obvious objection to this claim, Carlson continues: “Yes, they scream ‘Death to America,’ but they do so in response to our behavior in their region, not out of inherent hatred. America had no Islamist terrorism problem before 1948. That is no coincidence.”
As the activist Shabbos Kestenbaum, who posted this section from Carlson’s newsletter on X, pointed out, it is not actually true that the U.S. “had no Islamist terrorism problem before 1948.” Kestenbaum writes: “The U.S. Navy was created in 1798 because Islamic terrorists off the coast of Libya kept kidnapping American sailors and merchants, calling them ‘infidels.’”
Indeed. America fought its first war against Islamic jihadis, who made their Islamic motivations abundantly clear. As The History of Jihad details, in 1786, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams met in London with Sidi Haji Abdrahaman, an official in the service of Tripolitania’s ambassador to London. Jefferson recounted to Congress what Abdrahaman’s response was when he and Adams asked him “concerning the ground of the pretensions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury”:
The ambassador answered us that it was founded on the Laws of the Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have answered their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.
Carlson, of course, could claim that he was referring to the modern phenomenon of jihad violence against random civilians and key installations in Western countries, and it’s true, the U.S. had none of that before 1948, and very little after that, either, until the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center. The most obvious reason for that is that there were hardly any Muslims in the U.S. before the 1990s, and particularly before 9/11 (the great influx began after that), and so very few jihadis.
There is more. Read the rest here.

Tucker is now every bit as toxic and anti-American as the most rabid leftist. He constantly promulgates his anti-Americanism and his antisemitism under the hollow rubric of “just asking questions”. He has every right to his platform, but he has no business being part of the conservative fold.

Too true, Cornelius. He used to seem pretty sane–but that was long ago.
John Smith says
Yes there was a time he did seem pretty sane, I even used to agree with him on many things, but as you say, “that was long ago.”

I would love to sneak a peek at Carlson’s bank account(s) just to determine exactly the amount of money has been deposited by the Qatari government and CAIR.

Tucker is correct – this time…

As if the Jews haven’t already been condemned of enough crimes which they didn’t commit, Tucker Carlson decided to add new ones. May the Lord avenge the Jews and punish the likes of Tucker Carlson, and his posterity, for inventing new reasons for the world to hate the innocent Jews.

The U.S. Navy was established on October 13, 1775, when the Continental Congress authorized the procurement and arming of two vessels to intercept British supply ships during the American Revolution. This date is officially celebrated as the Navy’s birthday. It was called the Continental Navy at that time. Similarly, the U.S. Marine Corps was established on November 10, 1775. So we had a Navy well before 1798. The Department of the Navy was officially established by Congress on April 30, 1798 but not because “Islamic terrorists off the coast of Libya kept kidnapping American sailors and merchants, calling them ‘infidels’.” It was primarily created out of administrative necessity to ease the burdens on the War Department, and secondarily to organize a response to the quasi-war tensions with France. Tribute for safe passage in the Mediterranean and The Barbary Pirates were mentioned as a tertiary reason for departmentalizing the Navy, but that didn’t matter since we already had a Navy and centralized administration was merely a nicety.
In 1801 the Navy was dispatched by Jefferson to fight The First Barbary War, and it wasn’t until 1805 when Jefferson sent in the US Marines to fight their own expedition, the 1805 Derna Campaign, hence “… to the shores of Tripoli” in the Marine’s Hymn. This was our first victory on foreign soil. Tripoli was modern day Libya, not just its capital.
Note that Article I Section 8 of the Constitution (ratified in 1788) gives Congress the power “To provide and maintain a Navy” and “To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces.” But it also gives Congress the power “To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offences against the Law of Nations.”
By the way, Jefferson personally despised Islam. Although he negatively viewed Islam’s fusion of religion and state, he nonetheless believed Muslims, like Jews or Pagans, should not be excluded from freedom of religion, a principle reflected in his Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom. At that time, however domestic Islam was not a problem, since almost all that followed that faith were slaves. About 40-50 thousand West Africans brought to America as slaves between 1619 and 1808 were Muslims, many of whom initially maintained their faith, culture, and literacy in Arabic. But in the ensuing years before the Civil War, they either died out or were converted to Christianity by their owners. In almost all cases, their descendants were Christians.

Classic Creamy Hummus
Jan 17, 2026Hummus is a beloved staple across the Middle East and Mediterranean, with roots tracing back thousands of years. While many countries lay claim to its origins — from Lebanon to Israel to Egypt — its essence remains the same: a humble, nutritious dip made with chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, and

Probably more Muslims than Jews eat humus–just because there are more of them. And I’ve got a little tub of humus in my fridge right now–just a good and healthy snack food to have with veggies. Lots of other Americans agree. That Tucker Carlson considers this an insult is just very odd.

Some people seem to grow stupid. tucker carlson is mixing stupid with evil lies.
A person suffering some form of dementia….there are more than just Alzheimer’s… may exhibit changes to his personality….he might show more anger and become aggressive where before, he was mild of temper.
These things are diseases of the brain and the patient can’t help it.
carlson seems to have changed….but perhaps he has always felt that when the favorable winds begin to blow for the muzzies, he could easily switch sides because he was only pretending before.
Like bo said….that he would stand with the muzzies if things were going their way….he’s muzzie so that make sense. But carlson might be too.

Besides 8:39, there are plenty of other open -ended declarations of war in the Quran.
2:216: “Fighting is obligatory for you, much as you dislike it. But you may hate a thing although it is good for you, and love a thing although it is bad for you. Allah knows, but you do not.”
9:111: “(The faithful) will fight for Allah’s cause; they will slay and be slain. Such is the true promise which He has made them in the Torah, the Gospel, and the Quran.”
Then there’s 9:5 and 9:29, for which translations can be easily found.
And there’s Sura 8, entitled “The Spoils,” which, in part, describes how Muhammad and his marauders are supposed to divide war booty amongst themselves.
And that’s just a sampling.
