Tucker Carlson: ‘America had no Islamist terrorism problem before 1948’

As Shabbos Kestenbaum notes, America fought its first war against Islamic jihadis, who made their Islamic motivations abundantly clear. Get the details in The History of Jihad. Note also that Carlson says “Yes, they scream ‘Death to America,’ but they do so in response to our behavior in their region, not out of inherent hatred.”

This is a variant of the old libertarian argument against interventionism in the wake of the 9/11 jihad attacks. Ron Paul and Justin Raimondo and others insisted that if we just left them alone, they would leave us alone. The fact that our interventions were misguided and wrongheaded and poorly executed from the start doesn’t change the fact that this is a naive and uninformed argument. In saying this, the libertarians then and Carlson now demonstrate their ignorance of Islamic theology and history. He appears to be unaware of the Qur’anic imperative to “fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is all for Allah” (8:39), which is an open-ended declaration of war against anyone, no matter how benign and harmless, whose religion is not all for Allah.

The idea that they hate us because of what we’re doing in “their region” also founders on the fact that it wouldn’t be “their region” at all had it not been for a series of aggressive jihad conquests against peoples who were not waging war against the Muslims or threatening them in any way. As The History of Jihad shows, there have been 1,400 uninterrupted years of jihad conquest, and never a period in which there were cordial relations of mutual respect between Muslim and non-Muslim political entities, based on the non-Muslim entities’ good behavior in staying out of “their region.”

        Maybe just maybe… Tucker is a secret Muslim. If he was, he obviously couldn’t tell us.

          Tucker was making 20 million a year or more at Fox. On top, he is the heir to a massive fortune in the billions.

          Even if he wasn’t an heir, I do not believe he’d take ten million a year or something because we’d find out and he would be totally discredited. Even so, I don’t think he’s corrupt anyway.

          His views tell me a lot. He denounces the atomic bombs on Japan. That says a lot because it shows he’s not much of a two step thinker….

          If you don’t drop the bombs, then our soldiers will die, half a million they say to take Japan, AND EVEN MANY MORE of his friends, the enemy. More die if we don’t drop the atomic bombs!

          That’s one thing that has dismayed me. A year or more ago, the entire Right was largely united against Kamala, Walz and the entire woke agenda. Now, thanks to Tucker and his shift towards Qatar and Iran, coupled w/ his antisemitism, there are plenty of people on the Right, particularly the yutes (as Rush Limbaugh used to call them), who are pretty antisemitic to pretty deranged levels. It would have been one thing if they were simply not supportive of Israel, but they want the US to intervene militarily against Israel. And then you have Trump saying good things about Qatar and Turkey

          That makes me nervous for this November. The economy has still not recovered, and on top of that, there is the sabre rattling on Greenland. I’m just afraid that come November, one side or the other won’t turn up. If the party decides to go w/ the Trump agenda particularly wrt the Middle East, where Qatar and Turkey are appeased, then I don’t see anti-jihadists, particularly pro-Jewish Republicans, turning out. If it goes w/ Israel and Pahlavi, I can see the Tucker-Fuentes-Candace axis sitting it out. I don’t think that either side on its own has the numbers to beat the Dems: all they have is the numbers to sabotage the GOP

    • Well, if you count attacks on Americans abroad, there was the attack on the US embassy and marine barracks in Beirut in 1983 by Hizbullah

      Besides, we fought not just the Barbary pirates, but from 1902-1913, we also fought the Moros in the Philippines following the Spanish-American war

  10. Even if America did not have Islamisy terrorism problems, other areas in the world had already big problems.
    In early 19th century in Indonesia (then a Dutch colony called Nederlands Indie), a group of Islamist lead by some clerics terrorized the area, killing local people and raping women, trying to establish an Islamic state. Finally the locals asked help from the Dutch to overcome the terrorism and as a result, the Dutch gained some control and influence in the area. The irony is that the terrorism is considered as a heroic act and the leader becomes a national hero simply because they fought the Dutch while in fact their act was the cause of the Dutch got foothold in that area. I would rather call them as traitors and criminals, and of course jihadis too.

    Muslims invaded and colonized Israel, the Middle East, North Africa, parts of India and Eastern Europe, swathes of Asia, and most of Spain for nearly 800 years.   21. I thought Tucker Carlson was a wonderful person and I am so sad to find out he is a different person then I thought he was. I am wondering perhaps he had so many death threats against him and his family he finally submitted to the Muslims, that would change a person when your own government did not care and would not help him. I believe he was in a situation and did not know what to do, his own country abandoned him. It would be nice if a good reporter would ask him questions so we could understand the man. I have not given up on Tucker yet.

    • No, he’s a continuation of a line of media antisemites on the Right. If you remember, back in the 90s, on CNN, there was a debate show called Crossfire, which had a Liberal and a Right wing host, as well as a Liberal and a Right wing guest. The Libs were usually Geraldine Ferraro, Al Hunt and some others whose name I forget. The ones on the Right were Pat Buchanan, John Sununu (President GHW Bush’s former chief of staff), Bob Novak and Kate O’Beirne

      On this show, usually, the Leftists there would be defenders of Israel (unlike Dems today), whenever that was the topic, while w/ the exception of Kate O’Beirne, the other three – Buchanan, Sununu and Novak – were all anti-Israel. Tucker arrived somewhat later, but he shared that same antisemitic streak as those three. It was under wraps at MSNBC and at FNC, but after October 7th, it all came back

      I suspect that the funding he got from Omed Malik as well as the Qataris was more of a catalyst in helping him go over to the dark side, but it wasn’t something that he was innately against throughout his life
