New in PJ Media:
As of Saturday, it has been two weeks and a day since President Donald Trump wrote: “If Iran shots and violently kills peaceful protesters, which is their custom, the United States of America will come to their rescue. We are locked and loaded and ready to go. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J.TRUMP.”
It has been four days since he wrote: “Iranian Patriots, KEEP PROTESTING – TAKE OVER YOUR INSTITUTIONS!!! Save the names of the killers and abusers. They will pay a big price. I have cancelled all meetings with Iranian Officials until the senseless killing of protesters STOPS. HELP IS ON ITS WAY. MIGA!!! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP.”
There has been and continues to be a great deal of speculation as to what has happened to prevent the president from sending the promised help and coming to the rescue of the Iranian protesters. One report stated Trump called off an attack at the last minute at the behest of Turkey, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Trump himself, however, has denied that, saying on Friday: “Nobody convinced me. I convinced myself. You had yesterday scheduled over 800 hangings. They didn’t hang anyone. They canceled the hangings. That had a big impact.”
Tehran prosecutor Ali Salehi, however, was contemptuous of the claim that the executions had been definitively canceled: “Trump always talks nonsense and without any reason, and he’s out of line. Our response is firm, deterrent and swift. A large number of cases have now led to indictments and have been sent to court.”
Iran’s supreme leader is taking Trump’s inaction as a sign of weakness, and is clearly emboldened. After a series of statements on Saturday morning blaming the U.S. for the unrest in Iran, the Ayatollah Khamenei claimed victory and vowed retribution: “Yes, we extinguished the fire of the sedition, but that isn’t enough. The US must be held accountable.” Perceiving Trump as spineless, Khamenei will likely step up his attacks on U.S. interests, and those of America’s allies.
Such a course of action, however, carries considerable risk. There remains the possibility that Trump’s professed credulity regarding Iran stopping executions is just a feint, and that an attack is still coming. Every day that nothing happens, however, reinforces the contention that he was simply issuing empty threats, and cannot be trusted.
If Trump’s apparent decision not to strike the Islamic Republic remains unchanged, and if the Islamic Republic weathers this storm and continues on its bloodthirsty and repressive way, there could be serious consequences not only for American interests in the Middle East, but for domestic politics as well. If Trump does not act against the Islamic Republic after promising so robustly to do so, this is very likely to become a Democrat campaign talking point in both 2026 and 2028.

I hope Trump takes these statements as a way to take this challenge ( insult) as he does his political opponents. He doesn’t need words now he’s got weapons.

President Trump is to brainwashed by the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR elite members, to do anything more in Iran. Both the MB and CAIR members have been working Congress and the White House since the OBAMA years, still adept at aggressive, assertive communications on brainwashing most anyone, for 1400 years.

We saw with many recent major actions taken by the trump administration, that such things are preceeded with narrative changes of direction, head fakes, kayfabe if you will. He never shows his hand.
I still hope and pray that he will take action of a sorts that will help to make this revolution the one that fianally sees an end to the demonic, brutal and dangerous islamic death cult and the leaders there.
It is true that Trump will look weak and all his many recent brilliant achievements will be forgotten, if he doesn’t follow through on his words of hope to the brave patriots of Iran.
Let us p-ray he makes the right decision soon.

Well the cessation of the hangings is a TEST and more than egg will be on the public faces in Iran EITHER WAY….
Next…
it’s clearly inauspicious to move WHEN THERE’s NO INTERNET for all to see every corner of the play…
Further… the MONEY is in play… Iranian brass were secretly planning to split and Trump has Bessent covering those moves…
Plus, the economy and infrastructure of daily life is a big playing card….
Are there any clues on moves since the 12day war?
AND what connection could Maduro reveal about Iran and Hezbollah…..
THE KEY IS the hanging is STOPPED on their head’s face….

The islamic regime in Iran, with the assistance of their brothers in ideology, wherever muslims are found, has assistance. In true islamic bravery the menace is descending on to peaceful and unarmed protesters ans slaughtering them with guns. The Iranian people dont have enough guns to defend themselves. If you believe in the good of humanity, what is the hold up?
tgusa says
Never forget. We are dealing with muslims here. Muslims will sacrifice anything, even their own daughter for the cause. Muslims also try to gain sympathy in the wake of their atrocious acts. They play the victim card, every singe time. They learned that from Western leftists. In doing that they gain the complete support of Western fools. Works every time.
tgusa says
That is why I suspect the destruction of property, mosques and such, by people walking along protesting peacefully on the streets. I wonder if the regime and its cohorts are behind much of it to gain sympathy.

Am still hoping trump will act to save the Iranian people. Israel alone might accomplish this if trump gives permission.
Israel helping without trump would take longer with more Iranians slaughtered.Trump won’t even let Israel keep Gaza is why trump saved hamas on its deathbed as trump wants Gaza.
Trump finally just said he wants regime change in Iran. Is that real or just words? If real I’m still concerned as wanting regime change didn’t specify Pahlavi that majority desire. We cannot know for sure if Pahlavi will keep his words either but chance is reasonably good. The MEK would be worse than khameni.
A free Iran allied with Israel, India and others would make trump Abraham accords less important may be trumps fear as trump would not control. The Saudis want a weak Iran but not a free Iran in completion with them . Saudis fear liberty growing in the region. Needing government permission for sermon content, Saudi mullahs have returned to preaching hate of Israel, not a good sign I personally do not trust Saudis with anything.
I remember decades ago when reader’s digest had a feature article on the wonderful progressive ruler Saddam Hussein and hoping for more Saddam Hussein s to arise. I regret Saddam was removed and not pressured to change if possible. When Saddam was only vice president of Iraq, he is the one that enabled Iraqi Jews to fly to Israel. One cannot work with shia sixer khameni but Saddam might have been possible.
I do not think Trump is a good guy. He does some good things but the bad that comes sadly not noticed by many.
I said before he was elected the first time due to what I researched ,that trump will fail to drain the swamp as his method is to clear out all the crocodiles and replace with new snakes. He’s proven this is so.
If it’s not good for trump personally he will not do anything. We can only hope that what is good for trump and what is good for the rest of us has a wide overlap.

The fact that the security forces have been asking for large ransoms from families desperate to bury their slain loved ones, is not only an indicator of cruelty but also of probable necessity – the regime must be nearing bankruptcy, especially with Iraqi militia to pay off (one could hope that it won’t be able to do so, and that the militia will turn upon it). Mr Trump now needs to tighten the screws financially. Dump Venezuelan oil on the market to lower the price obtainable per barrel; enforce sanctions rigorously, proscribe and sanction the Iraqi Hashd al Sha’abi militia that came to the regime’s help, and maintain the recent 25% tariff on nations which trade with Iran. This will obviously impact the people of Iran, so consideration will need to be given to getting humanitarian aid to them in some way that cannot be intercepted – I have to say that I cannot imagine how this might be done.

There were more protests when Maduro was arrested than when the Iranian people are killed.

President Trump needs to dump and deport his Muslim advisors……….

Trump put turkey and Qatar on the board of rulers of Gaza knowing Israel said no, and Israel condemned trumps move, but that does not mean trumps horrid move won’t happen. If trump does finally help Iran, it doesn’t mean yet that a new govt will be the shah. I fear nice beautiful meals served at the table with a trace of poison in it.
Huh?!? says
Trump does need to own up on his promise with Iran. Iran is in a weakened state. I don’t not understand why Trump believes you can negotiate with Islam. You cannot. Please Trump, act for the good of the U.S. and the Iranian people that are protesting.

I think that Trump.has way over played his hand. If he hadn’t dumbly started the invade Greenland crap, he may have had European more support. I am way glad that he is Presisident given the Red-Green agenda, but still find him a mixed bag wild card. His bragging and SNL style briefings dis-serve the good things he does. The poor Iranians were counting on him to.pull through, if he doesn’t assist this will not bode well on many levels. Why does he have to run his mouth so much?!!
࿗Infidel࿘ says
I agree. Also, if he didn’t want to attack Iran, or wasn’t ready to, he should not have made threats to the Iranian regime a week ago. He should either have waited until those navy units were in place in the Gulf, or he should have quietly told Israel that they have the green light to support the Iranians and overthrow the Khamenei regime. Instead, he now has the blood of 20,000-30,000 Iranians – depending on what numbers one believes – on his hands
I do hope that the Iranian people don’t get intimidated, but go on to uproot this regime, and massacre all its members

Trump is an idiot, he thinks as long as the Iran government does not hang its people, then it is fine, he even thanks Iran government for not hanging more people. How about shooting jailing, torturing and oppressing? Seems to be ok with Trump.
I am afraid the Iranian people are betrayed by Trump the same way they were betrayed by Obama,
