Pope Leo calls out ‘religiously motivated violence’ in Bangladesh and Nigeria, and ‘jihadist violence’ in Mozambique

Does he think the violence in Bangladesh, the Sahel region, and Nigeria was not “jihadist violence,” and is somehow distinct in its motivating ideology from the violence in Mozambique? Unclear.

  1. He reads the *religious* violence and afterwards, says a special *jihadist* violence in mozambique.

    Clearly, he’s differentiating between the “religious violence’ and the “jihadist violence.” As if in syria, nigeria, and the other nations named, it might not be muzzies committing the violence.

    • That’s the main problem w/ considering islam as a religion, even an evil one. Once one does, describing any islam-inspired violence as “religious” is no longer inaccurate

      • the thing is, by saying “religious’ instead of identifying it as muzzies doing the murdering in every place where they are doing the slaughtering, he’s covering for them; implying that **other religions** are equally guilty.

      • Yeah, somehistory, that’s precisely my biggest problem w/ calling islam a religion. It bunches islam w/ legitimate faiths like Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism…. rather than w/ geopolitical ideologies like communism or cults like Branch Davidian, and also gives people the opportunity to tar them all w/ the same brush

        My mom falls in that category: she loathes all religion. So whenever I would bring her any news or accounts of jihad atrocities anywhere, against anyone, instead of condemning islam, she condemns all religion. She’s partly atheist, but falls more in the category of a “God is evil” school of thought. I don’t discuss anything w/ her these days

        • Infidel, I have long ago come to the conclusion that *words* and *definitions* matter in so many ways and so many people are easily confused.
          Once upon a time, two of my older brothers were in the military stationed overseas in different places.
          I had a habit of writing to them along about the same time. My brothers had different experiences and ways of looking at things, and I wrote to them accordingly.
          One letter writing session was interrupted and I mistakenly put one brother’s letter in the other brother’s envelope…thereby putting the second letter in the wrong envelope.

          They both answered me with confused responses. To me, that illustrates what happens with people hearing and reading so much they don’t understand.
          Neither of my brothers were stupid and they realized what I had done before I did. But they also knew that they couldn’t answer any questions I raised.

          Too many people today are really just stupid and don’t pay enough attention to the facts. But, they still *answer* as if they know everything.

          People will only fight for a *political* idea for so long and if it means dying for it, many will abandon the idea.
          With muzzies, the politics and the *worship* (religion) are all tied together; therefore even if a muzzie decided the politics were no good, he’d still fight for it because he worships a ‘god’. A false and evil demon god, but to the muzzie, it’s do or die…or both.

          More people need to wake up and realize that muzzies are out to get us.

    • Yeah, Mr Pope, by throwing in Bangladesh, he proved that he’s no longer thinking only about Christians when it comes to people at the receiving end. After all, he wouldn’t wanna be perceived as a bigot, would he? So fine, toss in Bangladesh and condemn the genocide of Hindus there – thank you!

      The follow-up action should be an end to all those interfaith conferences b/w Catholics and muslims (Protestant and Orthodox leaders need to do the same, btw), and start teaching Christians the truth about islam, its history, particularly wrt Christians

  5. The Pope seems to like to tip toe around the issue of Islam as a religion and the violence it brings with it. You would think that he of all people would be calling Islam out for what it is, not a religion but a political entity using religion as a cover.

    • Pope Leo is just Francis 2.0 and nothing much will come of Leo’s papacy but to oversee the continued decline of the Catholic Church as he doesn’t have the moral or ethical strength to call out and condemn islam for what it is nor call for the Faithful to defend themselves from moslem violence wherever it is encountered.

  9. Islam is not a religion. This rabid sect of thugs was correctly identified by former US Army Lt. Colonel and former congressman Allen West as a “theo-political construct” and I think the colonel hit the nail on the head. To call Islime a “religion” is to ignore the obvious, that they are a savage, primitive group of fanatics bent on world domination.
