Either what Aber Kawas represents or the American holidays will one day have to go. They cannot and will not coexist peacefully.

Federal holidays are no cause for celebration, according to a far-left Queens Assembly candidate backed by NYC Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani.
“Whether it is July 4th, Thanksgiving, Veterans, Columbus or now Labor Day, we enjoy days off that are supposed to be victories for people, when they truly represent the silencing & destruction of our movements,” Aber Kawas, a longtime Palestinian-American activist, wrote in an online journal posted on Sept. 7, 2015 — Labor Day.
“Today I do not celebrate a day off, I only recommit myself to a global movement that fights against the death, displacement, and exploitation of people for capital.
“For this movement, a day off is not a victory. A day off means nothing, because liberation means everything,” added Kawas, who like Mamdani, is a card-carrying member of the Democratic Socialists of America.
“Dignity, justice & equality is the true victory. Don’t get it twisted.”
The resurfaced remarks by the 33-year-old, Brooklyn-born Kawas — who moved to Queens last year — are a slap in the face to American principles such as equality and liberty established in the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution, critics said….

It varies state to state. Blue states i.e. states run by Democrats, have tight gun-control laws, that render the Second Amendment almost meaningless in those states. In Red states, it’s usually a different story. That’s why muslims have it easy in states like Michigan, Minnesota, New York and Virginia

That is how sane people would treat holidays they don’t like, or approve of. Like on Eid, I don’t pout off: I just ignore the day and either work, or do other activities that I might not have time for on workdays. Mohammedans who don’t like Infidel holidays can do the same

Frightening and embarrassing at the same time. How will those in foreign countries view an America that elects a leader who hates us?
I think they will take it as proof that the US is weak and diminishing as the Eastern Bloc – including China and Islamic lands – makes their plans for global leadership.

Not too long ago I thought America’s best days were behind us and believed New York City, the birthplace of my father more than a century ago, was doomed.
But the goings-on of late is simply a clarion call. Americans can learn from these recent events and come back even stronger.
So, I hope for a day, perhaps in four years or forty, the tide will change, and we’ll see a resurgence of true Americanism and a return to sanity.
And, if we are really lucky, all the muslims will move to canada and their flag’s maple leaf replaced by a crescent moon.

Aber Kawas does not just hate American holidays, but all American values.
Kawas has described the September 11 attacks as a “terror attack that a couple of people did,” and suggested they were a “manifestation” of US “capitalism, racism, white supremacy, and Islamophobia”.
See? If you are “Islamophobic”–as, for instance, warning against Jihad terror–then Jihadists get to mass murder you and yours in Jihad terror attacks.
She has argued that there are no apologies or reparations for genocides and slavery in the same vein.
And at a New York rally organized by Kawas, where the theme was reportedly “America is not our friend,” she was seen wearing a headband with colors associated with Hamas. The rally also featured a speaker who identified as a “jihadi”.
