How far did Minneapolis and Minnesota go in urging Americans to abandon their values and accept Somali Muslim ‘cultural values’?
A report from the Hennepin County Medical Center that was posted on the Minneapolis Minnesota Department of Health site was titled “caring for women affected by female genital cutting” or FGM, a Muslim practice common among Somalis of mutilating the genital areas of young girls, “Striving for Health Equity’.
The ‘Equity’ report defined the “big hurdle” as, “Muslim (Somali) Culture: Value Acquiescence to Allah as supreme authority” and “American Culture: Value the supremacy of the individual”.
Even though FGM is a crime in Minnesota (for now at least), the report urged American medical personnel to practice “humility” and “cultural sensitivity”.
It warned Americans about “being aware of your values, biases and boundaries” and used as a negative example a previous statement by the medical facility, “This isn’t about respecting someone’s culture – it’s about being complicit in mutilating women.”
The ‘equity’ FGM report was very much about respecting Somali Islamic ‘culture’.
The report urged Americans to practice “humility” and to view FGM as “Opportunity to learn about their culture and view of health as well as to teach about ours” and warned them to consider “immigrants life experiences which are so much different (and more difficult) than our own.”
When it came to Somalis, there was no law, only the supremacy of their religion and culture.

Supreme. The Courts of the U.S. are labeled as to where the judges are on the ladder of authority,. From county courts to the so-called Supreme Court with ‘justices’ telling us what is Constitutional or not.
According to that Constitution….under which all citizens of the U.S. live, each one has the ‘right to the pursuit of happiness. Happiness is not a guarantee…and is not “equitable.” Some seek and find, and others seek but fall short of finding.
Mutilating others does not lead to allowing the victims to ‘pursue happiness.’ And when the mutilating is done to tiny babies and little kids, it’s child abuse. And in my opinion, it’s child abuse of a sexual nature…a.k.a. sexual assault.
And it isn’t “culture”….it’s demonic. So, if it’s indeed “culture,” it’s the “culture of demons.”

Lord, help us. The latest missive in the propaganda effort to peddle one of the most grotesque aspects of their “cultural” agenda. To soften up attitudes towards mutilation in the name of religion, by appealing to “fairness” and “equity” values.
And the players often compare it to male circumcision. Sorry, it’s quite far from the same thing. So far that when I think of it, I just feel like throwing up. And I start to feel quite angry towards any agenda promoting acceptance of this painful, debilitating, archaic, destructive, misogynistic custom.
There have been a number of films on the subject, and amazingly, some have a more “sensitive” approach to it, respecting the “culture” etc., including by Al Jazeerah–what can we expect? That’s just more propaganda.
It’s galling that this hideous practice should be treated with kid gloves and massaged into acceptance in OUR culture.

FGM to learn about their culture: if that is what they want then every female elected to office no matter the age should undergo the procedure so they may understand the culture.
This translates to the Somali women using the same tools, the same needle and thread to close up the vaginal area. No pain medication whatso ever before of after.
Maybe if just one has the procedure then she’ll speak up to stop it.
