Khamenei: ‘The US must be held accountable’

The man is drunk with victory, exultant in Trump’s weakness. Trump, with his ridiculous empty threats, has just destroyed not only the Iranian resistance, but his entire presidency and maybe even the United States itself (if the socialist internationalists win again in 2028), and Khamenei is overjoyed and emboldened. He will step up his attacks on U.S. interests, and those of America’s allies.

  1. I was a Trump supporter.He was all we had who showed any interest in slowing the Muslim invasion.Mind you,it was our own who made that invasion possible! Such treason that the history books will note it as the greatest deceit and treachery ever done to the White race!! Well,at this point it Trump rides all this out I will only have the feeling that best he finish his term and disappear forever!! No need for his kind!!

    • Yep, I’m done w/ him as well. Just glad that he can’t run again in 2028. Will assess every candidate individually on where s/he stands on particularly the islam issue, mainly:

      ⮞ Opposition to islamization of the West in general, and the US in particular
      ⮞ Opposition to dupes of the islamization crowd, mainly the antisemites, anti-Hindus and the destroy-Israel crowd
      ⮞ Support to anti-islam forces everywhere, such as in Iran now, and anywhere else in the world

      I’m fine w/ MAGA domestic policies, but on the foreign policy front, all this needs to change. Yeah, I’d pull the US out of NATO, but no, I wouldn’t try to grab Greenland, particularly when native Greenlanders do not want to be a part of the US

      • Surprised here, Greenlanders were forced to go under sterilization why would they want to continue that?

        As for national security think about how China and Islam have invaded our nation, then think about these 2 taking Greenland making them closer to America. Being encircled by enemies is not something favorable to America.

        Think in broader terms not emotional terms.

        Greenlanders right now want full independence – both from Denmark, and they don’t wanna become a part of the US either. Only thing tying them to Denmark is that they get subsidized annually by Copenhagen, and so don’t wanna let go of that. Which is what has them in a quandary: they want independence, but would be a lot worse off if they get it

        Also, one of the arguments against getting Greenland is the same as one of the arguments for not making Puerto Rico a state: its people are not English speaking. Last year, English finally became formally the official language of the US. Greenlanders have their own language, and so if we took them in, then what? Do we force English on them? Also, would we make them a state? If yes, their people, out of spite, would vote (D), and eliminate the GOP majority in the Senate. If no, then why are we trying to grab them?

        I get the US national security requirements: a better deal would have been to lease the island completely from Denmark, and maybe have an agreement on how to split mineral assets b/w Greenland, Denmark and the US

  2. I am puzzled as to why Trump has not acted on Iran. Uncle Sam has a great chance to help topple Iran. Personally, I am not done with Trump. His Presidency ends in three more years. Unless he is doing a bait and switch. There could be something going on behind the scenes. Iran is bullying and threatening the U.S. again. Iran needs to be enlightened.

    • I strongly hope our President is not bending over to Islamic countries. Iran leadership needs to be toppled and a more democratic government put in place that treats its citizens with respect and brings Iran out of the dark hole they are in today.

    For example woman interviewed by the Epoch Times 1/20/26. A1, didn’t give an isolated report such murderous atrocities committed by the “security forces’ against the Iranians people has been confirmed by many other Iranians and other sources

    The article reads” Nights in Tehran, Iran, are increasingly violent” an Iranian woman told that newspapers reporter, “She said the security forces often move through crowds on motorcycles firing indiscriminately . She said I n the morning she was bodies in public areas and bold on the streets.”

    In addition, the article further reports, “the death resulted from coordinated operation carried out primarily by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Basij forces not from spontaneous clashes. Sources indicate that the operation was conducted under the direct orders from Ayatollah Khamenei.”

    That wicked death –inflecting Khamenei and the other Islamic despots using their murdering criminals in uniform “security forces’ against the Iranian people who are justly and righteously revolting against that horrendously brutal cruel and deadly tyrannical Islamic regimes of Iran is outrageous and wrong.

    Iranian people in the righteous quest for a genuine, legitimate government that respects and safeguard their basic human rights is a good worthy decent just very good cause.

  4. Ayatollah Khamenei need to be held accountable. For he is viciously against the Iranian people, For he and the other ayatollahs mullahs and similar Muslim despots in tyrannical control in that Islamic regime of Iran terribly oppress the Iranian people through their thugs in uniform who are called the “Islamic Revolutionary guards.”

    All those years of miserly oppression suffering and murder imposed on the Iranian people by those despots of that Islamic tyranny of Iran is coming back down on those evil dictators of that horrific regime. Therefore, the old saying might a valid statement, which is “What goes around comes around.”

    For the Iranian people are right and justified for hating that brutal cruel oppressive and even murderous Islamic tyrannical regime of Iran.

    For example, the many arrest and imprisonment and even execution of people , repeatedly, who had peacefully protested that “mullah tyranny” of Iran only further exposes the weak ,fearful and intolerant nature of those in power in the oppressive and brutal “mullah regime “ of Iran.

    Therefore, the Iranians people are more than justified in wanting that brutal cruel oppressive Islamic tyranny to be overthrown and replaced with a genuine government.

    As a former Muslim revealed an important reality when he wrote, “The Islamic republic of Iran exists and operates as what every fundamentalist dreams of, an Islamic state ruled by Sharia …” He further exposes that “What followed its establishment was the inevitable consequence and inexorable logic of its Islamic premise; state terrorism, a merciless tyranny.” [1]

  5. People are speculating about the number of deaths. Imagine how man men are being tortured, and how many women are being raped. We are probably talking about hundreds of thousands, suffering right now. In G-d I trust.
    Maybe it was a way to keep Israelis from being outraged, at Trumps announcement of phase two?

  6. Perhaps Trump still has an ace up his sleeve where Iran is concerned but it’s looking bleaker by the day. If the Iranian regime survives then, no doubt, this is a huge defeat for Trump, America and what is left of the West.

  7. Is trumps inaction on Iran because he has moved on to the issue of Greenland which he sees as very important to America’s future security. I saw a tv news report saying China and Russia want Greenland. It would be great to see the scum who run Iran wiped out, sadistic knuckle draggers that they are.

    • Russia can’t find enough troops to keep throwing at Ukraine: Greenland seems to be a joke. In fact, if the US wanted, we could seize the Russian Arctic islands off the coast of Russia, and they could do nothing to stop us. As for China, they’re nowhere near where they’d need to be to capture Greenland

      That said, given that most Greenlanders have said that they wanna be independent and not be a part of the US, I’m opposed to US taking Greenland. Particularly when it won’t be made the 51st state (since the Greenland would out of spite vote (D) and send 2 Democrat senators to congress, neutralizing the GOP majority)

      • Thanks for the information, infidel. It does all seem so bizarre this idea of the USA taking over Greenland and annoying all those NATO allies. I thought that Greenland must have great security significance for the USA to want to own it. The other thing I heard was that Greenland has minerals that are vital for fighter planes and other defence need of the USA going forward. We live in interesting times as the saying goes. How long has there been talk in the USA about taking over Greenland. Seems like an idea way out of left field.

        • Hello, tg. Hope you’re doing well in a very unwell world.

          As for the specific matter of how long the US has wanted Greenland, such dates back to the 1860s when Secretary of State, William Seward, under the Andrew Johnson Administration, pushed for acquiring Greenland (N.B., Seward also pushed for acquiring Alaska from Russia and this, thankfully, proved successful in 1867—yeah, imagine if Russia still possessed Alaska—OMG!). In 1917 we did buy, under Woodrow Wilson, the Danish Virgin Islands in the Caribbean and which have remained the American Virgin Islands to this day. President Truman in the late 1940s also pushed for acquiring Greenland but nothing came of it. So, Trump wanting to buy this island, which is more than three times the size of Texas, is not something new, not new at all. But I think the way Trump has gone about it has been clumsy.

          Yes, Greenland is vital to American security in a very dangerous world but I can’t defend Trump here in the way he has approached this. Again, hope you are well.

        • Thanks for the information, Wellington. I’m going ok thanks and I hope you are going well. So there is a long history involving the USA and Greenland. I wonder whether the people in Greenland knew about that. I knew nothing about it so it does seem like a complete reordering of things. I hate cold weather so if I were in Greenland I would be all for becoming an American and I’d move to Hawaii. All the best to you Australia is too far away but I have often thought that the only way Australia can avoid being kicked around by China is for the USA to take over Australia. In the future China will bully all countries around here.

        • Thanks for your reply, tg. On the matter of Australia and America, I have long wanted only the optimal of relations between these two nations. It’s in the best interests of Australia to want as close of a relationship with America as possible and ditto the other way around. Unfortunately, Australia right now is led by a complete fool in Albanese just as America was under Biden (Obama too though he was a very clever fool). And yes, China is an enemy of both Australia and America and definitely why we should cooperate as much as possible against an enemy, like the Islamic world, which detests Western Civilization.

        • I’m sure that there a lot of Australians who can see clearly than Australia, in the long run, has had it if the USA doesn’t protect us from the evil bully of a regime that runs China. But we are far away in our Asia Pacific part of the world. But there plenty of lefties out here who hate the USA. Albanese and his government would be full of such people. Australia is becoming Asian, most migrants these days are from India and China night be second. I’m happy with, but I say no Muslims, none at all. Alas far too many people here are lazy and clueless about Islam’s evil nature. How they don’t get it by now staggers me.

          From what I recall reading, the reason Tsar Nikolai I sold Alaska was that he was deep in the Crimean War as well as engaging in the “Great Game” against the Brits in the subcontinent. He therefore determined that Alaska was indefensible, but would be a useful way to raise money. He therefore went ahead w/ that transaction

          I consider Tsar Nikolai I to be one of Russia’s greatest Tsars. You’ve seen me write about how Russia conquered Central Asia. Well, that credit goes to him. Kazakh raiders were attacking the Russian frontiers in the Central Asian Steppes, taking Russian women and children as slaves and selling them in the slave markets of Buqhara and Xeva. Tsar Nikolai sent his generals to not only destroy them, but conquer the entire place, and that’s how the raids on Russia ended. Not just that, although the place remained muslim, it ceased to be the origin of Jihad conquests, starting w/ the Seljuqs and ending w/ the Mughals. And of course, he fought the Turks in the Crimean War over the recognition of Russia as the protector of Balkan Christians, most of who were Eastern Orthodox like the Russians were

          I just wish that the Arctic completely melted and somehow, its water landed on all the major deserts in the world, from the Gobi desert to Central Asia to the Arabian to the Sahara. Then the northern coasts of Alaska, Canada and Russia could have ports that could shorten a lot of the international trade (note that all this assumes a post-Putin Russia)

        • I too, Infidel, think that Czar Nicholas I has been underrated but it was not under him but under Alexander II who reigned from 1855 to 1881 (when he was assassinated) that Alaska was sold to the USA.

          I would close here by ranking Alexander III who reigned from 1881 to 1894 as also a capable ruler. If only his son, Nicolas II, had been made of the stuff his father was then Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin and the Russian Revolutions of 1905 and especially 1917 would probably never have happened. This is why I consider Nicholas II one of the most influential personages of the 20th century due precisely to his immense weakness.

  8. Pres. Trump promised the Iranian citizens that he “had their back”. So far, he has not delivered on this promise which is beyond troubling.

    The current Iranian regime’s biggest fear is not destruction of infrastructure that can be rebuilt, rather it is disruption of the systems that allow it to direct repression.

    My personal ideas? The United States should – at the very least – conduct a targeted operation that disables command-and-control and surveillance capability essentially shutting down the IRGC and Basij. This would influence the environment in which Iranian citizens are resisting.

  9. I have long loved you, Dr. Spencer, and Jihad Watch. I have followed the site for many years.
    But I cannot countenance your calling Trump’s actions “ridiculous threats” nor ceding that the resistance has fallen due to Trump. They have NOT fallen. America’s carriers are on their way to a more winning strategy than the initial plan

  10. I have long treasured Jihad Watch, sent out its articles to contacts, collected articles and titles in my own documents to show the evils of Jihad. But, Dr. Spencer, as much as I love you, I cannot countenance your seriously flawed and hateful remarks about Trump’s strategy. And to declare the resistance has lost is only to spout the current regime’s rhetoric. The first American assault plan had to be aborted because it would not accomplish the regime overthrow. Two USA carriers — which will carry their one air space, since Qatar and Saudi Arabia have closed their air space to America — are on their way to the staging ground. Trump wants a decisive victory, and he has not in the slightest atom betrayed the resistance.

    A resistance, by the way, which is still very virile. The Iranian people have no way back == not when it takes well over a million rials to make up one American dollar. The regime has hird 5,000 Islamists from Pakistan, Lebanon, and Iraq to come in and slaughter its people. Yesterday the resistance got a hold on the regime’s TV and were able to broadcast Pahlavi’s message to them in their own language. Water is scare, businesses are closed, at least 1400 imprisoned, thousands slaughtered. The brave people are still out in the streets. How dare you declare the resistance over, blame that falsehood on Trump? Please cancel my subscription to jihad watch. Thank you. And thank you for all your brave work over the years.

    • Sorry that you feel that it is not enough to praise President Trump on many points, but have to believer that he is infallible on Islam. Sadly, I don’t think that the facts bear this out.
